She gently pushed the door open and saw Qin Muchuan settled in her petite office chair. Upon seeing her, he swiveled around to face her.

He chuckled, "Heh heh..." How could he not understand what she meant?

"Have you resigned yet?" He stood up and asked.

She suddenly remembered, a smile of pure contentment quickly dispelling any cloudiness. "I thought you were just saying that to annoy Manager Ni!"

He leisurely smiled, a cunning glint in his eyes contrasted his nonchalant demeanor. "Pissing her off was true but me wanting you to accompany me to an event is equally true!"

"Okay!"

To be honest, she was genuinely happy!

Qin Muchuan glanced at the time. "Well, since you’re not the manager anymore, all your time is your own, right?"

She nodded absentmindedly. "Yes!"

"Okay, then accompany me on a stroll!"

"Huh?" She was taken aback.

Qin Muchuan didn’t bother explaining and simply demanded, "I’m asking you out for a walk. Are you in?"

Wow, what an attitude. It felt like he would be angry if she refused. "Fine, I’m in. Who’s afraid of you?"

"Decisive. That kind of personality is quite noble!" Qin Muchuan praised her before giving her a direct order. "Do you need to prepare anything? You have ten minutes, and then meet me downstairs. I’ll be waiting."

"Ten minutes? Isn’t that too little time?" Lin Xiangwan felt her hair stand on end. "At least, I have to change, right?"

"Okay then!" If the big boss himself had no complaints, then there was nothing for her to feel embarrassed about!

"I’ll get Tongtong to come downstairs," she said as she headed out.

Qin Muchuan frowned. "No need to bring Tongtong along. It will be just the two of us."

"I can’t do that. I wouldn’t feel at ease leaving her behind!"

He chuckled again, a mix of satisfaction and dissatisfaction evident. "You really care about Tongtong. But you don’t have to worry. The home tutor is from an accredited school. She’ll take good care of Tongtong!"

He didn’t want to waste any more time in Jiangcheng, so he had called in an experienced tutor to look after Tongtong.

That afternoon, Tongtong had to practice piano and didn’t have time to go out shopping.

"I still don’t think it’s right," Lin Xiangwan voiced her concern.

He was tranquil and comforting. "You seem more concerned than I am, and I’m the parent here!"

"I’ll go get the car. You just wait for me downstairs!" Qin Muchuan no longer wanted to delve into a lengthy discussion and promptly left.

In front of the mirror, Lin Xiangwan looked surprised to see a wide smile on her face. Her heart was filled with joy. It turned out that not all domineering men were annoying. Some could indeed be adorable!
