"What is it?" she looked up at him.

"Open it and you’ll see!" Qin Muchuan whispered into her ear.

Seldom receiving gifts, Lin Xiangwan was not sure whether she should open it on the spot.

Qin Yutong hopped by, her dress swinging. "Open it, open it! Let’s see what it is!"

Prompted by her daughter, she broke the awkward silence and carefully unwrapped the gift.

Inside the black box laid a CARTIER ladies’ watch, with a white dial decorated with glittering pink diamonds, shining low-key and luxurious under the light.

"Wow, the watch is so pretty, Aunty, put it on!" Qin Yutong exclaimed with wide eyes.

He tightened his grip on her hand, guiding her body to turn toward their daugther.

Daddy wants Aunt Lin to help you study and take care of you. How about that?" Qin Muchuan asked tactfully.

Qin Yutong frowned, taking some time to think.
