Chapter 1133: Chapter 1132 Journey Chapter 1133: Chapter 1132 Journey [London City – North Side City Gate]
Han Dong went to the agreed meeting place at the scheduled time, and Maritzis, who followed, had also redressed herself.
Since London City had largely retained the original British culture, its clothing fashion naturally spread to the group of demons maintaining “humanoid” forms.
They had set off a bit early, allowing Han Dong to buy Maritzis a well-made outfit from a local clothing store, preparing for the chilly journey to Antarctica.
Bottoms – velvet-lined black silk stockings were worn under a loose cotton maxi dress with a plaid pattern.
Tops – a square-neck blouse, a tie, and a corduroy suit vest, capped with a light-colored woolen shawl.
Paired with Maritzis’s softly curled, over-the-shoulder black hair and her round, large eyes, she had quite the look of a young Englishwoman… Of course, Han Dong was also quite afraid that Maritzis might wet her newly bought clothes if she got too excited over something.
As a demon, Maritzis inherently possessed a high resistance to cold, but only in normal areas.
The Antarctic was already the coldest region on the original Earth.
Now, with the emergence of demons, the average temperature of the Antarctic continued to drop… it was necessary to rely on clothing for warmth.
…
When the two arrived at the northern gate.
Green-haired Eugenes had been waiting there for some time.
“Eugenes, are you alone? What about Miss Luna, who was on your team during the competition?” Han Dong had thought that Eugenes would bring the Demon Shaped Worm with whom he’d achieved a symbiotic state in the competition.
“No need for useless folks, no need to bring them along.
And I’m going to [Antarctica], it’s troublesome enough to bring an extra person.
Hm? Is this, the Ancestor Body ‘Toad Demon’? Are you saying that in the competition you used this Space Toad as ‘Space Energy’?”
Upon glimpsing Maritzis, Eugenes figured out something.
After all, Han Dong was rated as a “Mature Body” among the demons.
Yet in the competition, he had exhibited energy reserves exceeding the average level of an Ancestor Body… and he seemed especially proficient when using space-related powers, as if assisted by some external object.
When the Toad Demon, who had never shown up in the competition, appeared with Han Dong, Eugenes immediately got his answer.
“Yes, can I bring her along?”
“Since she’s part of your portable charger, there’s no problem, let’s set off.”
“Speaking of which, isn’t Antarctica to the south? Why are we gathering at the North Gate?”
“Because… somewhere north of London, there is a Portal that leads directly to [New Zealand].
Of course, if this Toad Demon has a better spatial technique and can directly send us to the corresponding coast of Australia in N’Kai, that would work too.”
With that, Maritzis quickly shook her head.
She was not capable of such intercontinental Spatial Transfer… After all, during such long-distance travel, one would have to pass through the territories of many demon forces, depending on related spatial amplification devices to reach the deep space for smooth migration.
“Let’s go then, it might take several hours.”
Saying this.
Eugenes spat out an eyeball from his mouth.
Upon touching the ground, the strange eyeball immediately cracked open at the pupil.
Crackle, crackle~ a large number of green Tentacles burst out, weaving into a slug-like green mount, with tentacles supporting an eyeball on top.
The whole thing emitted a nauseating stench of rotting insects mixed with stinky boots.
Eugenes directly ‘submerged’ his body into the green slug, controlling the slug with his mind while his body rested inside its cavity.
At the same time, a voice came from within the slug:
“Nicholas, if you don’t have a mount prepared, I have a few ‘Carrier Eyeballs’ here that you can borrow.”
Just smelling it almost made Han Dong vomit his breakfast from his stomach, not to mention the prospect of entering the interior of such a material.
“No need, I have one… Count!”
Even though the Count was utterly unwilling, his consciousness coexisted with Han Dong, sharing the same senses.
Such foul stench was unbearable even for the Count, who was a demon with a certain degree of cleanliness obsession… With no other choice, he could only respond to Han Dong’s call.
“You should remember to prepare a mount in advance next time; this time will suffice.”
Red flesh and tentacles proliferated wildly on the surface of the right arm.
As the limbs took form, they immediately detached from the arm, becoming entities unto themselves.
A long-mouthed bloodhound constructed from red tentacles took shape, spanning four meters in length including the tail, its commanding presence was on par with the Mad Demon Green’s “Yandaros Hound.”
As the fully independent bloodhound materialized, Eugene, who had already fallen asleep, opened his eyes once more.
“Oh… A Blood Descendant of Ancestor Body, and an independent one with no relation to the ‘Blood Ancestor,’ that’s rare. After all, that blood-sucking old ancestor is quite strict about managing his progeny. You really do have a lot of things inside you.”
Han Dong smiled faintly; the Count did give him face in times like these.
“Eugene, you lead the way, I will follow you.”
“Hm.”
From the lower end of a slimy slug, countless small eyes sprouted.
Using a form of pure ocular power, they created an anti-gravity effect similar to that of a maglev train’s operation… carrying Eugene, it shot out instantly.
Han Dong, however, was in no rush.
He had the Count form two comfortable grooves on his back for sitting, complete with tentacle safety belts.
Maritzis and Han Dong, one in front of the other, settled in, and they took off immediately.
Whoosh!
The ground was left with blood-stained paw indents, as a red shadow instantly kept pace with the slug’s speed.
After two hours of relocation, passing through London Basin and the surrounding Dark Forest, they arrived at a lush small valley in the north of England.
When moving inward,
The shadows here became noticeably deeper, bringing with it a strong sense of being intensely watched.
It always felt like in between these rocks, there were eyes hidden away, staring at every creature that came by.
“We’re here.”
At the location to which Eugene led, which was at the very end of a narrow crevice and a dead end… the sense of being watched was the strongest.
Gurgle, gurgle~
The smelly slug retracted back into Eugene’s body.
When his slime-covered arm made contact with the rocky wall, a multitude of green eyes grew from its interior.
They recognized and verified Eugene’s identity.
The eye-covered rock wall cracked open, revealing a passageway leading inward… accompanied by the putrid stench of rot, like rotten meat fermented in a pickling jar for several years.
At this moment,
Maritzis created two layers of thin water to attach to their body surfaces, used to block out the foul odor.
Eugene explained briefly, “Since most of our kind have large bodies and emit a strong scent, making it difficult to move around,
our race, using the technology of the Elder Race, constructed portals in dark corners around the world, facilitating our travels. Through these portals, we can reach an island close to the South Pole in New Zealand.”
Stepping into the secret passage, a cave shining with green light came into view.
Haphazardly arranged massive cables, boulders, and metal chunks assembled into peculiar matrices, with tanks filled with odd creatures used as bio-batteries.
Following Eugene, they stood at the center of the transfer matrix.
Hum!
There was a sensation of being squeezed and transported through flesh.
In the blink of an eye,
The three, covered in foul-smelling slime, had landed in a very different cave, where the piercing cold wind constantly squeezed in through the open cave entrance.
