My Celestial Ascension -
Chapter 783 783: Enzo's Death
"Preposterous! How dare you utter such vile words from that filthy mouth of yours, brat?! You'll pay with your 'lifec for speaking such blasphemy!" Enzo roared, his voice echoing across the palace like a thunderclap.
His eyes burned red with fury as he glared at Yuan, the very sight of whom made his blood boil. He could barely contain the hatred that festered in his chest—not only had this youth humiliated his son, but now, he was mocking 'him', the Patriarch of the Drake Clan, in front of so many witnesses, including his supposed future daughter-in-law.
"Hmph! I only stated a fact," Yuan replied coolly, his voice calm yet laced with sarcasm. "Why are you acting like I screwed your wife in front of everyone? Can't you be more reasonable?"
"Y-You…!" Enzo's voice caught in his throat.
His mind blanked for a moment. He couldn't process the absolute audacity of Yuan's words.
The sheer disrespect.
The total fearlessness.
Not even the strongest enemies he had faced in the past dared to mock him like this. He felt like ripping out Yuan's tongue with his bare hands and crushing his bones to dust.
At that moment, Angela finally regained her composure. She stepped forward, standing firmly despite the lingering pressure, her eyes burning with anger.
"Lord Enzo, don't you think you're going too far?" Angela's voice was sharp and commanding. "Need I remind you that you are standing inside the Blank Clan, not the Drake Clan?"
Her cold voice immediately shattered Enzo's building rage like a splash of cold water. He snapped his gaze toward her, his brow furrowed.
"Matriarch Angela, what do you mean by this?" he asked, confused and irritated.
Angela took another step forward, her expression proud and filled with disdain. "Lord Enzo, you're in our territory. You 'should' already know what I mean."
The air shifted.
Even Enzo, in his rage, couldn't ignore the sharp glint in Angela's eyes.
After a pause, he narrowed his eyes at her and spoke again, voice low and biting. "Matriarch Angela, we've already come to an agreement. You should value your words instead of siding with this brat, who has no connection to your clan."
Angela snorted. "Agreement? Why don't I know about any 'agreement'? No one informed me."
She folded her arms and tilted her head slightly, a smirk forming on her lips. "And as for this 'brat'... let me correct you."
She looked at Yuan proudly and continued, "He's my grandson—the son of my two eldest daughters, Anna and Grace. He's not an outsider. You are."
Angela's voice rang with authority. "And with Nicolas dead, your so-called 'agreement' is null. Over."
Yuan smiled faintly and walked to Angela's side. As he stood beside her, the resemblance between them was undeniable—from the eyes to the aura of confidence, it was now clear to everyone.
Gasps spread among the Blank Clan members present.
The crowd broke into hushed murmurs, wide-eyed, stunned.
They couldn't believe it.
Anna and Grace had 'returned'—with a son.
A male heir.
It was almost too much to take in.
'O-Our clan… has a male heir now…?? This is incredible!' many of the elders screamed inwardly, their minds spinning from the sheer gravity of the revelation.
Hope, excitement, pride—all surged through their hearts.
And standing before them was that heir, the youth who had just slain the tyrannical former clan head and made the most feared noble family in the continent tremble.
Yuan Blank.
Their future had just changed forever.
Unlike Nicolas, the clan elders weren't power-hungry fools. They had always desired a true heir—someone with strength, intelligence, and heart—to carry the Blank Clan into the future. Unfortunately, Nicolas had failed them on all accounts.
"Grandma, you shouldn't waste your breath on an idiot like him," Yuan mocked as he looked at Enzo with a cocky grin. "He doesn't even have the brain capacity to grasp the simplest things. How would you expect him to comprehend your words?"
Angela sighed deeply, then nodded. "Indeed, you're right. But… it's still risky to deal directly with the Drake Clan. They're—"
"Don't worry about a few mutts barking," Yuan interrupted her confidently. "Leave them to me. I could wipe that puny clan from the map without breaking a sweat."
The elders of the Drake Clan, hearing this, stared at Yuan in stunned silence for several seconds. Their mouths slowly curled upward, twisting into angry sneers, their expressions darkening as their fury rose.
'This brat… how dare he spew such arrogant nonsense with a straight face?! One brat alone destroying our entire clan? Absurd!' they screamed inwardly, eyes blazing with murder.
One of the elders stepped forward, glaring at Yuan before turning to Enzo. "Clan Head! Behead this fool immediately! There must be a limit to arrogance!"
"Indeed!" another elder echoed. "He has insulted our noble clan with such blasphemy! He must pay the price with his life!"
A wave of agreement erupted among the Drake Clan elders, each one growling for vengeance. Meanwhile, Enzo's eyes remained locked on Angela, a deadly storm brewing in his gaze, as though he'd snap her neck at any moment.
"Matriarch Angela, step aside and let me handle this brat. That's what's best for your clan…" Enzo said darkly, his voice like thunder before a storm. "Or else..."
Angela raised her brows, eyes narrowing. "Are you… 'threatening' me?"
"You may interpret it however you like," Enzo sneered, voice cold. "But I don't care what you think. Today, I'll end this brat's life no matter what."
A grin spread across his face as a violent surge of Mana exploded from his body, rippling across the room with bone-crushing force.
Angela's eyes flashed dangerously. She took a step forward, lifting her chin with pride. "Is that so? Then I have no other choice but to eliminate you—to remove any threat to my clan's future."
"And you think you can eliminate me?" Enzo laughed bitterly. "Don't make me laugh, Angela. You're just a weak woman—that's why Nicolas could manipulate you so easily."
Angela's expression shifted instantly.
"Don't you dare say that bastard's name in front of me!" she roared, her body erupting with her own Mana, just as terrifying. "That man is dead in my heart. He was a stranger the moment I opened my eyes!"
Her voice thundered through the palace. "If you ever speak his disgusting name again… I'll kill you in the worst way imaginable!"
The Blank Clan elders gasped, eyes wide. They had never seen Angela this fierce, this cold, this angry. The air seemed to twist around her, reacting to her emotions like a storm waiting to be unleashed.
Angela then turned her burning eyes toward Yuan.
"Dear… end this man as cruelly as you did Nicolas. I want to hear his screams. I want him to beg for mercy!"
"Understood, Grandma!" Yuan grinned darkly as he turned toward Enzo, the killing intent in his eyes sharp enough to tear through the air itself.
'What's with that look? Why am I feeling uneasy all of a sudden??' Enzo's mind screamed. For the first time in ages, he felt a cold shiver down his spine—fear, something he thought himself incapable of.
"Do you seriously think you can take me down?" Enzo snarled. "Don't make me laugh, brat! You killed Nicolas because that fool was weak and pathetic—but I'm not like that idiot!"
He grinned arrogantly at Yuan, though his clenched fists and trembling legs betrayed the fear within him. Still, he had to maintain his pride. He was the Clan Head of the Great Drake Clan. There was no room for weakness.
"You think so?" Yuan's calm voice cut through the tension like a blade through silk.
Before Enzo could blink—before he could even comprehend what had just happened—Yuan was already standing right in front of him, face-to-face, their noses almost touching. Yuan's gaze was cold and unblinking, as though staring at an insect.
'H-How did he get this close without me noticing?!' Enzo panicked internally, his heart thudding violently in his chest. Sweat dripped from his brow, his composure cracking.
"FATHER!! WATCH OUT!! HE'S ABOUT TO STRIKE YOU!!" Denise screamed, his voice breaking as panic overtook him. It sounded more like a shriek than a warning.
Before Enzo could even step back, Yuan's fist sank into his chest like a thunderbolt.
BOOM!!
Enzo's body was launched backward like a cannonball, crashing through the thick stone wall of the Blank Clan estate, leaving a massive hole in his wake. A cloud of dust and debris billowed through the air.
Everyone was stunned.
Gasps erupted around the room. No one could believe their eyes—except Yuan's wives and Aisha, who stood calmly, already knowing what Yuan was capable of. Even Angela stood rooted to her spot in disbelief.
"FATHERRRRR!!!" Denise screamed, horrified, as his father's body vanished into the wreckage of the wall.
"W-What the hell just happened?!"
The Drake Clan members stood with wide-open mouths and eyes, unable to believe what they had just seen.
When the dust finally settled… Enzo's broken body lay in full view.
He was drenched in blood, his armor shattered, deep wounds scattered across his body. Most notably, a deep, unmistakable fist imprint glowed red on his chest, burning through even the enchanted protective armor.
"Cough! Cough! W-What was—" Enzo tried to speak, but blood poured from his mouth. His body convulsed…
And then… he went still.
He was dead.
"FATHERRRR!!!"
"CLAN HEAD!!!!"
Denise and the Drake Clan elders screamed in horror, their voices echoing in unison as they watched the proud figure of Enzo Drake—a legend in his own right—fall lifeless after a single punch.
The entire scene shook the audience to their core. Even Angela, standing tall as the Matriarch, stared in wide-eyed silence.
'M-My grandson… he's… so powerful!' Angela screamed inwardly, her heart pounding from the terrifying display of power.
A moment later, one of the elders from the Drake Clan, still shaking, knelt beside Enzo and checked his pulse. His expression darkened.
"L-Lord Enzo… he is dead..." the elder declared in a hoarse voice, eyes still not fully believing it.
"WHAT?! Don't say such nonsense!" Denise roared at the elder, his voice trembling. "My father can't die from a single punch! He's a legend! HE MUST BE ALIVE!!"
His eyes were red with rage and despair, tears on the edge of spilling.
But the truth was undeniable.
The legend of the Drake Clan had fallen—with a single punch.
"Y-YOUNG MASTER DENISE… try to understand—Lord Enzo is truly dead! He died immediately! He was killed by that little monster over there!" the clan elder shouted, his voice filled with fear and disbelief, his trembling finger pointing directly at Yuan—who was standing there with a devilish smile on his face.
"No! No! No! That can't be happening! My father can't die!" Denise screamed like a broken man as his legs gave out beneath him. He collapsed beside his father's lifeless body and grabbed his bloodstained robes, shaking him violently.
"Father! Can you hear me?! Get up! You can't die! You must get up and kill that bastard!" Denise roared like a madman, rocking his father's corpse again and again, desperate for any sign of life.
But Lord Enzo's body remained limp—his eyes still open, glassy with death.
Just then, Yuan casually walked toward Denise, his footsteps echoing ominously through the hallway. His grin widened, not a trace of pity in his eyes.
Without saying a single word, Yuan suddenly launched a brutal kick directly into Denise's abdomen.
BAM!!
Denise's body was flung across the wide hallway like a ragdoll, crashing into a column and landing in a heap on the cold marble floor. He let out a pitiful groan, blood dribbling from his mouth as pain flooded his senses.
Yuan tilted his head slightly, his mocking eyes fixed on the groaning young man.
"Can't you see that he's dead? Killed by yours truly?" Yuan said coldly, his voice dripping with mockery and dominance.
