Chapter 219: Chapter 219: Young Madam Worked Hard All Night, How Tiring

Qin Miaomiao was very satisfied with his answer and laughed, "See? That’s settled then. Rong Lan is just playing around on purpose. I know exactly what kind of person he is. The ex-girlfriends he’s had could line up along the Huangpu River. I, on the other hand, am super picky about relationships. Anything that’s been touched by others, I don’t want it. So, hubby, if you dare to mess around with some random woman outside, I’ll leave you in a heartbeat."

Lu Qing frowned, grabbed her chin, and said:

"Say you’ll leave me one more time and see what happens."

Qin Miaomiao got a little nervous in front of him, but she refused to let herself seem weak. She cupped his face with both hands and countered:

"If you dare to find a mistress, I’ll take half your assets and kick you out."

Lu Qing’s lips curved into a slight smile. "That’s pretty ruthless, but I like it."

"Then I’ll go find seven or eight strong and handsome guys to put a green hat on you—hey, what are you doing? Put me down!"

Lu Qing hoisted her up onto his shoulder like a sack of rice. She was, after all, someone important at the film set, and now she was being carried off like this—it was totally embarrassing!

Lu Qing didn’t say a word. Clearly, those three little words, "handsome guys," had completely crossed his line. She was really testing her limits.

Little sixth strolled leisurely behind them. Anyone with half a brain could tell that the Young Madam was about to get "punished." The bright side? He could probably take it easy for the rest of the day.

Should he call Old Second and Old Fifth to play a game of cards? Maybe a round of Kings of Glory?

Oh, right, the winnings they owed him last time still hadn’t been settled.

A night... of no sleep...

Lu Qing had to leave for a business trip. He was out the door by six in the morning. She hadn’t woken up yet. Since it was a rushed trip overseas for two weeks, he didn’t have time to tell her. When he left, she was still asleep, so he didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to her then either.

By the time Qin Miaomiao woke up, it was already close to noon. Not only was her waist aching, but her whole body felt completely drained, to the point where she didn’t even have the strength to sit up.

Last night’s "punishment" was so deeply etched in her memory that from now on, the words "handsome guys" were absolutely forbidden!

She must never say it again. This was all Jiaojiao’s fault—always subtly influencing her, leading her straight into trouble. Her waist was practically about to snap!

She dragged herself out of bed and went downstairs, only to see... a chef’s uniform on... Little seventh?

Qin Miaomiao could hardly believe her own eyes. Her adorable Little Seventh, the kitten of her heart, had actually come back?

"Little seventh!"

Overcome with excitement, she almost pounced on him to pick him up and spin him around.

Little Seventh’s handsome face blushed a bit. His skin had noticeably tanned a few shades, but it did nothing to diminish his good looks.

He said, a little shyly:

"Good morning, Young Madam. Young Master Lu has gone on a business trip and arranged for me to return to help Sixth brother protect you."

He left for a business trip? Why didn’t he mention it to her? Hmph, not happy!

Just then, Little Sixth walked in holding groceries and said with a grin:

"Oh, Young Madam’s awake? Perfect timing, just in time for lunch. Little Seventh is like a kitchen god. The stuff he makes tastes like it came straight from heaven!"

Little Seventh’s ears turned red quietly:

"No way, Sixth brother’s exaggerating. I’m really not that impressive. I’ll go check if the black chicken soup I’ve been simmering is ready. Young Master Lu instructed that it’s for you since you’ve been overworked. He wants to make sure you’re well taken care of."

Hearing this, Qin Miaomiao’s face flushed a bit too. "Overworked"... that was practically a clear innuendo!

For the next half hour, Qin Miaomiao lounged on the sofa, fiddling with her phone and flipping through her photo album. She had a habit of secretly taking pictures of Lu Qing from every angle imaginable.

Most of them captured his somber seriousness, but he looked so damn good that she couldn’t stop staring. The more she looked, the more she missed him. Finally, she gave in and called him—but he didn’t pick up.

Her mood instantly soured. Gone on a trip and now ignoring her too? The nerve of him! Bad guy!
