My Beloved Super Fierce Wife
Chapter 738 Gu. Master Huyou. Yingzhou

Chapter 738: 738 Gu. Master Huyou. Yingzhou

Gu Mujing listened intently and then nodded his head.

...not knowing what kind of enlightenment he had achieved!

Lin Tang discovered that her husband, having been ’tortured’ by the children for several years, had developed various skills and even seemed to have a bit of a knack for "bluffing" people.

Her lips twitched as she gave Gu Yingzhou a look, signaling him to watch his step and not to overdo it.

Turning her head, she saw someone with a red banner across the street that read, "Welcome Ajing and Alin home!"

"Eh?! Isn’t that for us?" Lin Tang nudged Gu Yingzhou’s arm.

Looking over, Gu Yingzhou said, "Yes, let’s go over."

With that, the family of four made their way across the street.

Two people were holding the banner, one young and the other a bit older.

Seeing the elder, Gu Yingzhou nodded, "Uncle Li."

After exchanging greetings, he introduced the man to Lin Tang, "Tangtang, this is Uncle Li."

He didn’t explain further; it wasn’t convenient to do so in public.

Although times were now stable, caution was the priority.

Lin Tang could tell from the respect shown to her husband by the two men that something was up, and she politely nodded, "Uncle Li."

"Good, good, I’ve come to take you all home," Uncle Li said with a smile.

He gazed fondly at the twins, clearly taken with them.

The young mistress’s great-grandsons sure have grown up well!

After a brief introduction, they got into the car, and the vehicle set off towards the Gu Family old mansion.

Meanwhile, Patriarch Gu, Gu Yu, and Ruan Shu had been waiting at the gate for some time.

As soon as they spotted the car approaching, they hurried to greet it. The twins had barely gotten out of the car when Patriarch Gu swept them into his arms.

"My dear great-grandsons are home," Patriarch Gu said, rarely letting his emotions show so openly.

Although the twins hadn’t seen the Gu Family elders much, they were familiar with them through the photographs Lin Tang often showed them, so they didn’t consider them strangers.

They addressed them politely,

"Great-granddad!"

"Granddad!"

"Grandma!"

...

Patriarch Gu’s beard trembled with joy, "Good, good, great-granddad is here, Ajing and Alin have finally come home."

As he spoke, he disregarded his age and carried the two great-grandsons into the house.

Gu Yingzhou wanted to help but was vigilantly refused.

The old man was domineering; even Gu Yu, their biological grandfather, was pushed to the side and could only look on eagerly at his adorable grandsons, his eyes unable to take them all in.

Ruan Shu still remembered her daughter-in-law and son, and warmly took Lin Tang’s hand, speaking affectionately, "We’ve finally waited for you, I hope the journey was smooth. You must have had your hands full taking care of Ajing and Alin, thank you for your hard work, Tangtang."

"It was very smooth, mainly because the children’s father took great care of us on the way. We were well looked after and didn’t suffer at all," Lin Tang said with a smile.

"As it should be," Ruan Shu said, giving her son an approving look. "Yingzhou is a man, he should take good care of you and the two children. Don’t hesitate to ask him for anything; don’t be polite."

Gu Yingzhou: "..." Absolutely the words of a loving mother!

Lin Tang smiled slightly, "Mom, you’re so kind~!"

These few years, though Ruan Shu and Lin Tang were far apart, their relationship didn’t grow distant.

They would call each other every now and then, occasionally writing letters and sending things to each other, even making Gu Yingzhou feel a twinge of envy at times.

Now seeing each other again, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law were very close.

Ruan Shu’s eyes lit up with joy at Lin Tang’s words, "Our Tangtang is such a sweet talker, come inside quickly. The house has been cleaned thoroughly, you must be tired from the drive, you should rest soon..."

"Thank you, Mom," Lin Tang expressed her gratitude, following her mother-in-law into the house.

Gu Mujing and Gu Mulin returned to the Gu Family home, and the whole place came alive.

However, the energy of the children was limited, and after causing a bit of commotion, they become tired and were taken to their room by Lin Tang.

The family of four did not wake up until it was time for dinner.

Those from the Gu Family who had been at work also returned.

Upon returning from work and seeing the twins at home, Mao Wan’s expression suddenly changed.

And when she saw how fond the old master Gu was of the two boys, she felt displeased.

"Yingzhou has brought his wife home..."

Gu Yingzhou nodded indifferently, calling out to her with a cool detachment that lacked warmth, and uttered just one word, "Hmm."

Lin Tang also courteously called out to her second aunt, then chatted affectionately with her mother-in-law.

Mao Wan was very unhappy, feeling as though there was no place for the second house of the family in the vast living room, and, irritated, she went straight back to her room.

Her departure did not affect the lively atmosphere in the living room; for Old Master Gu, Gu Yu, and Ruan Shu, having great-grandchildren meant everything was perfect, and they couldn’t stop smiling.

Old Master Gu: "My dear great-grandchildren, just say what you would like to eat, and your great-grandfather will buy it for you."

Gu Mujing and Gu Mulin both had a bit of social boldness about them, entirely unaware of what being a stranger meant.

"Alin’s great-grandfather is so nice, the nicest in the whole wide world~" Gu Mulin complimented with an anticipatory twinkle in his eye, "Can Alin have some strawberries?"

Who could deny those sparkling eyes of their great-grandchild?

Old Master Gu certainly couldn’t, and calling over Uncle Li, he said, "Li, you heard, didn’t you? He wants strawberries. Go find someone to buy them."

Uncle Li was a follower who had been protecting the now-deceased Old Madam Gu since she was young.

The Old Madam had passed away quite early due to frail health, leaving some people who stayed at the Gu Family home, guarding her lineage on her behalf.

Uncle Li was one of those who stayed.

Their presence easily cast a shadow over the Gu Family, dividing to stay beside the younger members of the family in several groups over the years.

For this reason, some members of the Gu Family without martial prowess managed to navigate the chaotic years smoothly.

Uncle Li was very fond of the twins, as the sweet-tongued and clever children were hardly unlikable to the elderly.

He immediately replied, "Alright, I’ll get ready. What would Ajing like to eat?"

Gu Mujing, who had difficulty making choices, furrowed his brows and struggled for a moment before saying, "I’d like to eat some mango mini cakes, is that possible?"

Mini mangoes, however, were not easy to come by.

But for the Gu Family, it wasn’t much of a problem.

Uncle Li agreed and set out to get busy.

After dinner, the fruits and mini cakes the twins desired were brought in.

"We got the strawberries, but there were no fresh mangoes at this hour, so I bought some Mango Mini Cakes, is that okay?"

Uncle Li took the items out of the bag.

Lin Tang also stood up to thank him, saying, "Such trouble you’ve gone to this late; thank you, Uncle Li."

Uncle Li was quick to shake his head, "It’s no trouble, no trouble at all; it’s what I should do."

Although the twins were spoilt, they were never ungrateful children.

Seeing the sweat on Uncle Li’s forehead, Gu Mulin took out his own little handkerchief from his pocket, beckoned to Grandpa Li, and when he bent down, Gu Mulin wiped his sweat for him.

"Thank you, Grandpa Li."

Gu Mujing also expressed his thanks.

Looking at those identical faces, Uncle Li’s heart nearly melted with warmth.

"No need to thank me. Go ahead and eat, and I’ll look for fresh mangoes tomorrow for our Ajing."

Gu Mujing truly loved mangoes, and his eyes lit up at the words, "Great, thank you, Grandpa Li."

The two little ones, when eating their after-dinner fruits and desserts, didn’t hoard their food and would share anything tasty with those around them.
