Chapter 251 - 251 251 It's Getting Lively
251: Chapter 251: It’s Getting Lively 251: Chapter 251: It’s Getting Lively Upon arriving at the restaurant, the other guests were already waiting there.
Naturally, only two people were qualified to sit at the main table—Ye Zhi and Zhao Guang—while the rest were in the smaller dining area.
It must be said that the larger the villa, the more complete its facilities tend to be.
In the past, Zhao Guang had never imagined a situation where a restaurant was divided into several different sections.
“Is Lele not here?” Zhao Guang looked around and noticed there seemed to be one person missing.
“Lele has things to do; she’s usually not around.
Why, do you have your eye on her?”
Zhao Guang rolled his eyes, knowing you are a lady of high society, I’d mistake you for a madam if I didn’t know any better.
“No, it’s just that your financial assistant seems even busier than you.” Zhao Guang took his seat and looked at the setup in front of him, not quite understanding the array of items despite its abundance.
Zhao Guang didn’t care much for convention and directly picked up a pair of chopsticks from the side, ignoring the knives and forks in front of him.
Yet, Ye Zhi didn’t say anything about this way of eating, seemingly accustomed to such behavior.
“Lele is my financial assistant.
She’s busy with company matters, so of course, she doesn’t have much free time.”
Such a delicate woman was handling such dominant tasks.
It seemed that while called an assistant, she was actually more akin to a high-ranking executive or even a general manager of the company.
“Impressive indeed, but you actually have a company?
What does it do?”
Zhao Guang picked up the steak in front of him, thought for a moment, then used chopsticks in one hand and a knife in the other to cut it, making it much more convenient to eat.
As for the salad-like vegetables, Zhao Guang didn’t even bother to touch them.
“A financial firm.
No matter what, one should have their own little treasury; reaching out to the family for everything isn’t good, is it?” Ye Zhi said quite naturally.
All right then, you people are truly beyond the imagination of us ordinary folks.
“How’s the taste, Shanshan’s cooking isn’t bad, right?”
So it was Shanshan who did the cooking, which meant she was probably in charge of the daily household.
While eating, Zhao Guang nodded, “Not bad, but it would be better if it were Chinese cuisine.” This Western food was fine once in a while, but eating it daily would surely be unpleasant.
And with Zhao Guang’s appetite, this amount of food was like feeding a bird, barely enough to pad his stomach.
“Chinese cuisine, huh?
I’ll find a Chinese chef to come over then.
Shanshan is only skilled in Western cuisine.”
Unexpectedly, this guy was similar to the older generation at home, not particularly fond of Western food.
Fortunately, he didn’t seem to be completely opposed to it; otherwise, it would be a headache.
There was no help for it; Ye Zhi was quite fond of Western cuisine.
Watching Zhao Guang quickly finish the food in front of him without any intention of wiping his mouth, he directly asked, “Is there any more?”
“That wasn’t enough for you?” Ye Zhi looked at Zhao Guang in surprise.
Apart from the untouched vegetable salad, Zhao Guang had cleaned out everything else.
The portions were not small by any means.
Under normal circumstances, she herself would eat a part and throw the rest away.
The reason for preparing so much was partly for aesthetics and partly out of habit.
In fact, she had never seen anyone who could finish everything; wouldn’t that be too filling?
Zhao Guang nodded, “It’s a bit less, bring five more servings like this.” In reality, even five servings would not be quite enough to satisfy him, but it would be close enough.
His strength had increased too rapidly, which led to him having a much bigger appetite than the average person.
If his strength stabilized, then although he would still eat a lot, it wouldn’t be as outrageous.
As his strength continued to increase, Zhao Guang felt that his appetite would probably increase even further.
Maybe in the future, it wouldn’t be entirely impossible for him to devour an entire cow in one meal.
The thought alone gave him a headache, and before he knew it, he had become a glutton.
“Shanshan, go get ready,” he said.
Without a word, Shanshan got up, nodded, and then headed to the adjacent kitchen.
“What are you looking at?” Ye Zhi looked at Zhao Guang and then out the window.
“Those, I believe they’re your clothes, could you tidy them up?” Although he was the only man in the house, he was still a man, after all.
The sight of those undergarments fluttering in the wind was quite distracting.
Ye Zhi’s face turned slightly red, and she cursed herself silently for her carelessness; it was something she had grown accustomed to doing.
Those older sisters really didn’t take into account that there was a man in the house, continuing as usual.
“You all go tidy them up, and from now on, set up a designated area for drying clothes.”
Acting as if it was no big deal, Ye Zhi turned back and said, “It’s all their clothes, they always like to leave them out in the sun, don’t mind it.” While speaking, Ye Zhi continued to bow her head and eat her meal.
Zhao Guang nodded and said nothing more.
Although she acted quite convincingly, Zhao Guang could still feel it.
Some of those clothes are yours, aren’t they?
Well, let’s just pretend I don’t know.
For the remainder of the day, Zhao Guang spent almost the entire time studying and deducing in his room.
Ye Zhi didn’t seem at all curious about what he was doing, and she seemed quite busy with her own matters.
The next day, there were several new faces in the house, this time all men.
“This one is the chef I hired, he used to work in a five-star hotel, a real five-star one,” she explained.
Zhao Guang didn’t understand and said, “Nice to meet you, Mr.
Real Chef.”
The chef looked bewildered, as if wondering if Zhao Guang had ever encountered a fake chef.
Ye Zhi ignored Zhao Guang’s comment and continued to introduce the others, “These few are gardeners, from now on, they’ll take care of the flowers and plants around the house, if you have any special requests, tell them in advance.”
Zhao Guang shook his head, “No special requests, just do as you see fit.”
Ye Zhi proceeded, “The rest are responsible for the house’s security and transporting goods, if you have any heavy lifting to do, just let them know.”
All right, this time it really was a complete set-up, Zhao Guang felt that their home was becoming increasingly lively.
Only, this was supposed to be his house, yet it felt like it had become Ye Zhi’s home instead.
He felt like he was the one living off someone else’s charity, which was certainly a strange sensation.
Zhao Guang nodded gently, “Then I’ll leave the safety of our home in your hands,” he said.
What else could he say?
The others too relaxed upon seeing how easygoing Zhao Guang was.
In their line of work, what they feared most was having a difficult employer, which could cause endless trouble.
