Chapter 91: True leaders appeared
Ethan looked at Cassian, who was shouting like a dog.
All his thirty avatars vanished and directly surrounded Cassian from every side.
Cassian fell to the ground on his butt when the thirty harbingers of doom stared at him like death itself. Those eyes were so calm, totally different from before the battle. His face was calm then, but not those eyes. Those eyes sent a chill down his back.
Cassian slurred, "What do you want? Do you want to start a racial war by killing me?"
Ethan also knew this. If he killed him, that Galactic Realm cultivator might lose his mind and directly attack him. Though that would not do anything to him, it would bring humiliation to his reputation.
So he decided not to kill Cassian.
Ethan waved his hand in a grabbing motion, and Cassian immediately floated up as if he had no control over his body. Ethan caught him by the neck.
Then bam. Boom.
Slap after slap. He wanted to humiliate him in front of everyone.
He said with disdain, "With this dog strength, you dared to mock me? How pathetic can you be? Is this all your Celestial race has?"
Though Ethan was slapping him, his mental domain was observing someone else. A young man from the Celestial race. That man was very unusual. He gave a sinister feeling to Ethan. Ethan did not know who the man was. The most astonishing thing was that he could not gauge that man’s strength.
That man was as calm as ever. He was watching the scene where Ethan was beating Cassian, but Ethan could see disdain on the man’s face, like everything was beneath him.
"Interesting. Who might you be?" Ethan thought in his heart. From the very beginning, Ethan felt this Cassian guy was too shallow. How could a leader of a whole generation be this shallow? Something was fishy.
The same went for that Neo guy too.He was too naive and shallow to be able to hold the title. The upper echelon was playing some game, Ethan was sure of it.
Because there was someone on the human side who was looking as calm as that man on the Celestial side. Like two kings observing peasants. Ethan had not noticed him at first, as he did not check every single human’s strength.
He only checked based on aura. But now that he was trying to gauge these two men’s strength, he could.
He thought, "Hehe. This is getting more fun. I’d really like to know your origins. The more mystery, the better."
When he was thinking all this, he forgot that he was still slapping that Cassian guy. The whole battlefield was as silent as ever. Only the sounds of the slaps could be heard echoing in the air. Cassian’s face was already distorted beyond recognition.
When Ethan finally looked at him, he said in a mocking tone,"Oops. I overdid it."
He then let go of the man.
He was not interested in Neo or Cassian anymore. He was more interested in those two instead.
The battle could be said to be over. The leader and the most powerful thirty people from the celestial side were dead. What was there left to fight for anymore?
Ethan looked at that young man from the human side and called him.
"You there, come here."
The man was surprised a bit, but he still came forward without hesitation.
"Yes, Young Supreme."
Though he was calling him Young Supreme, there was not much respect in his tone.
Ethan smiled. "You are the leader of the Generation of Chaos, am I right?"
This time the man was genuinely surprised. Even Remond, Maya, Antony and the others were just as surprised. What was he talking about? Wasn’t the leader Neo?
Neo came closer, almost about to explode, but he did not dare do anything after he had seen Ethan’s might.
The young man smiled and said, "How did you find out, if I may ask?"
When they saw that the young man did not reject the claim in front of everyone, their eyes opened wide. Even Neo’s eyes went wide. How dare this man claim to be in his position so brazenly?
Ethan smiled. "Your eyes. They are the eyes of a king, not a subject. What’s your name?"
The man laughed out loudly. "As expected of the Young Supreme. Forgive me for my late introduction. I am Lucien Astralith, the leader of the Generation of Chaos. It’s nice to meet you."
Neo’s eyes were wide open. Neo always knew someone better was present in the Astralith family, but he could never find out who the person was. Though everyone thought Neo was the leader, Neo himself knew he was not. He was just for show. Someone else was the true leader. Today he finally got to see him.
"So this is Lucien," he thought. "Who was born one day before me, and from that day, all his information was vague."
Ethan asked in a curious tone, "You are just a clone. Not afraid of losing it?"
Lucien laughed again and looked at the calm young man from the Celestial race and said, "They are not worthy enough to make me lose this clone."
"What a confident tone," Ethan thought.
Then he asked, "Why this hide and seek? That same goes for that Celestial bastard too."
Lucien asked in surprise, "You figured that out too?"
Ethan raised his brow. "Do I look like Cassian? Why wouldn’t I be able to figure that out?"
Now some people laughed when they heard this even though the intense curiosity was killing them inside.
Lucien was about to introduce that man when the Celestial came forward himself.
"No need to trouble yourself, Lucien. Let me introduce myself. I am Alistair Thornevale, the leader of the Origin Generation."
This time the Celestials were surprised. All this time they thought Cassian was the leader. What the heck was going on?
Ethan said, "Okay, I don’t give a fuck about your mysterious reason for playing hide and seek. Would you fight or not?"
Alistair said as he turned away, "The battle is over. You humans win. But don’t rejoice too soon. I will crush you insects in the next battle."
Lucien said calmly, "Do you think you are worthy?"
Alistair did not look back. He just waved his hand and said in a cool manner, "Worthiness will be proved when the time comes."
Everyone was about to go back to their own camp. They had witnessed something really mysterious today.
But Ethan suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of Alistair, and directly punched him.
Alistair had disdain on his face when he saw the slow punch coming at him.
He shook his head. "You filthy human won’t understand how vast the universe is unless you see your coffin. Let me show you the difference between a divine and an ant."
He slowly raised his hand to stop Ethan’s fist.
Boom. Like an apocalypse, the fist and the palm collided.
Alistair still had that confident smile on his face until the collision but the moment that fist collided with his palm, his face turned nasty in an instant. His expression twisted with pain. He pushed his palm with all his might to neutralize the force but the result was zero. He was sent flying like a cannonball.
He bounced fifty-four times on the ground, then came to a stop. All his orifices were bleeding now. This was a clone too. But he could feel the pain clearly. It was like a real body.
Ethan also gauged the strength of this guy. Around three thousand Earth. Very powerful. But in front of him? Nah. Just an ant. As usual.
He looked at the almost unconscious Alistair.
"Where I,Ethan Hunt is present, no one has the right to farm Aura. That right is exclusive to me only. Ant, you dare to show off in front of me with that pathetic strength?"
Ethan did not kill him. He lost his interest suddenly. He thought this guy might be someone strong, but he was disappointed.
