Author: That’s a great question! I grew up as a huge fan of the big four Shounen anime—Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Bleach. Their world-building, their epic power systems, that’s always been in my DNA. But I’ve also read countless Chinese and Korean web novels, and I absolutely love their approach to character dynamics, the intricate schemes, and especially the powerful, often complex, female characters. So, My Anime Shopping Tree is really my attempt to blend those two worlds. I wanted the grand scale and cool powers of a Shounen epic, but with the sharp, sometimes cutting, character interactions you see in a lot of Wuxia or Korean novels. You might notice the female characters, in particular, have a certain… intensity. That’s the Chinese and Korean novel influence shining through.

Host-Chan: Ah, speaking of intense female characters! Let’s talk about the one who’s generating the most discussion, and let's be honest, a lot of hatred! (leans forward conspiratorially) Rosa Siddik. The Ice Princess. What’s the deal with her?

Author:(Sighs, a weary but fond smile) Ah, Rosa. Yes, the hate-mail is… considerable. And I understand it, truly. At this point in the story (pre-Chapter 141), she’s not a fully fleshed-out character yet. She functions almost as an antagonist within Lloyd’s personal life, a living symbol of one of his biggest failures. So, it’s perfectly fine to dislike her! I’m not offended. But you can also love her, if you’re into that kind of profound, almost painful, emotional challenge.

What I can say is that her coldness isn't without reason. She’s a product of her environment. Her mother has been in a coma for seven years due to a mysterious illness, and her father, Jason, is a very pragmatic, politically-minded man. Rosa hasn’t had the benefit of warm, nurturing parenting. She’s learned to build walls, to be self-reliant, to view the world through a lens of logic and power because emotion has only ever brought her family pain. And interestingly, even though she’s a female lead, I’ve written her with the mindset of a classic Shounen rival. She’s edgy, powerful, and constantly serves as a benchmark Lloyd has to overcome. You could almost call her Lloyd’s main rival, more so than even Rayan or other petty youth at this stage.

Host-Chan: Ooh, a rival-wife! That’s a fascinating dynamic! Which leads to another comment I see a lot: "Lloyd should just divorce her already!" What do you say to that?

Author:(Leans back, a mysterious glint in his eye) Well, I can tell you that at some point in the future, Lloyd will ask for a divorce. But the reason for it won't be what readers expect. It won’t be out of simple hatred for her. Their relationship is… complicated. As for why he can’t do it now… he’s a pragmatist. He’s in a delicate development phase. His soap empire is just starting, his power is still growing, and his political standing is fragile. Initiating a divorce with the daughter of a powerful Viscount, a move that would have huge political ramifications, would create unnecessary conflict and distract him from his primary goals: getting stronger and securing his future. It’s a strategic choice.

Host-Chan: That makes sense. But some readers have… more extreme suggestions. I saw one comment that just said, "Lloyd should just kill her." Setting aside the moral implications, can he even do that at this stage of the story?

Author:(Laughs) Absolutely not. Let's not forget the title of the novel: My Cold Prodigy Wife!. It's not false advertising. She is monstrously powerful. With her three Spirit Cores, her innate talent… frankly, as of Chapter 140, Lloyd isn't even one percent of her true strength. If he tried to kill her, the fight would be over before he could even summon Fang. He’d end up as a very handsome, very dead, stain on the carpet. So, for those readers, I’d say… please don’t encourage Lloyd to commit suicide by wife. He has a soap empire to run.

Host-Chan: Okay, okay, no regicide-by-proxy! Last question about Rosa, I promise! Why is she so cold? It’s like she’s a machine, utterly devoid of emotion. Is she ever going to, you know, smile?

Author: There is a very specific, very important reason for her coldness, for why she acts like a logic engine. It’s not something she’s doing intentionally just to be cruel. It’s tied deeply to her past, to her family, and to her own power. It’s a major plot point that will be revealed in a future arc, so I don’t want to spoil it now. But I promise you, she is not a machine. The emotions are there. They’re just… locked away in a very secure, very cold, vault. And Lloyd might just be the only one with the combination.

Host-Chan: Ooooh, the mystery deepens! Alright, let's shift gears. A question about the character designs. The Ferrum family—what’s the visual inspiration?

Author: I’ve always pictured the Ferrum lineage as having a look inspired by Middle Eastern cultures, like Arabian or Persian aesthetics. The dark hair, the strong features, the aura of ancient, aristocratic power. They are, without a doubt, a very good-looking family. It comes with the territory of being main characters in a light novel, I suppose.

Host-Chan: And of all the handsome characters you’ve written so far, who do you personally consider the most handsome?

Author:(Without hesitation) Ken Park. No question. He’s canonically perfect. If you were to sculpt a statue of the ideal man, it would look like Ken.

Host-Chan: But he’s also so cold and stoic! Is he all business?

Author: Not at all! Ken is actually the most romantic soul in the entire story. The stoicism is a mask, a product of his brutal assassination training. He’s been trained to control every micro-expression, to be an unreadable wall. It’s a professional requirement. But beneath that, he’s a man of deep feeling and unwavering loyalty (You may feel it in a few chapters.). He is, after Arch Duke Roy and his immediate family, the single greatest asset House Ferrum possesses.

Host-Chan: Let’s talk about Roy. He’s such a tough character to read. What’s his deal as a father?

Author: Roy is… a classic, if somewhat extreme, Asian parent archetype. He’s strict, demanding, and his primary love language is ‘crushing expectation’. But he absolutely loves his children. Even in Lloyd’s first life, Roy’s actions were driven by a desperate desire to protect him. The arranged marriage to Rosa was a two-pronged strategy: one, he hoped they would bear an incredibly powerful heir, combining their potent bloodlines. And two, he knew that a prodigy like Rosa would, at the very least, be a powerful knight on the board, capable of protecting Lloyd where he couldn’t protect himself. He deeply regretted how things turned out in the first timeline. His harshness, his constant trials, it all comes from a place of deep-seated fear for his children’s future in a very dangerous world.

Host-Chan: That explains so much! Let’s pivot to the power system. Spirits, Void powers… where did that come from?

Author: It’s a big mix of my childhood favorites! The Spirit Power, the bond with a partner creature that evolves… that’s a blend of Bleach's Zanpakutō, Pokémon, and Digimon. I just love the idea of growing alongside a powerful, loyal companion. The Void Power is more inspired by the bloodline abilities in Naruto and the inherited powers you see in some families in One Piece. It’s all about the cool, unique abilities passed down through generations.

Host-Chan: So, just how strong is Roy Ferrum?

Author: On this continent, Roy is second only to King Liam. He is an absolute monster. If he truly unleashed his full power, he could naturally nuke a small country off the map. He is a strategic-level threat all on his own.

Host-Chan:(Laughs) Okay, then I definitely won't ask how he died in the first timeline! That would be a huge spoiler! Now, for a more personal question from a reader, and this one made me laugh: “Author-Sama, are you bad at math? I’ve seen a few calculation errors in the currency conversions and rewards.”

Author:(Cringes theatrically) Guilty as charged. Kinda. Look, I have a demanding corporate job. By the time I get to write at night, my brain has been squeezed like a lemon. Sometimes, a Silver Coin accidentally becomes worth ten Bronze instead of a hundred. And for you, the reader, binging a hundred chapters might take a day. For me, writing them takes over a month. I sometimes forget the exact SC balance from thirty chapters ago. It’s a weakness, I confess.

Host-Chan: And who is your editor? Do they not catch these things?

Author:(Sighs) That’s the real problem. I don’t have a human editor. I rely on AI for grammar checkers. And while they are great at fixing my commas, they sometimes ‘correct’ my original text in ways that subtly change the meaning, or they miss continuity errors entirely. It’s incredibly irritating, and sometimes things slip through that shouldn’t have. It’s the sad reality of a one-man operation.

Host-Chan: That’s so tough! Well, we’re rooting for you! We’re almost out of time, but I have to ask one last, very important question from the fans: Best girl? As of Chapter 140, who holds the top spot?

Author: That’s easy. Jasmin is a very good girl. Loyal, competent, kind. But the true ‘best girl’ of the series… has yet to appear, in my opinion. I have high hopes for her character. I hope I can write her well. If I mess it up, I’ll be devastated. But for now? In the current chapters? Jasmin is absolutely top-tier.

Host-Chan: And a final, final question about romance. Has Lloyd genuinely loved anyone across his three lives?

Author: In his first life on Riverio, he had a youthful infatuation with Rosa, but it was based entirely on her legendary beauty, not genuine love. In his second life on Earth, he genuinely loved both of his wives, but his love for his first wife, his colleague in the army, was the great romance of that life. As for the current timeline… all his poking and prodding at Rosa is just a time pass for him. He’s testing her, trying to understand her, but it’s a strategic game, not a romantic one. Based on what he knows from his first life and the events of Chapter 0, he has no intention of ever truly, romantically, loving her.
