Chapter 1165: 158: Yeah, who the hell cares about Wolf's wedding?
Chapter 1165: Chapter 158: Yeah, who the hell cares about Wolf’s wedding?
Las Vegas, in the palace that was snatched from Achilles by Temir, Wolf’s wedding is taking place.
Through the throngs of people, Benny saw the person standing at the center.
“There!”
He pointed at where Robert was standing, reminding Gru.
The two lackeys of Robert didn’t get a good spot at today’s wedding ceremony, so they could only stand at the edge of the crowd.
No way around it, today’s guests at the wedding of Wolf and the Great Commander’s daughter were too many, and too powerful.
“Ha, he can stand in the front row, who is the woman next to him?”
Noticing that the woman next to Robert was not Temir, Gru seemed puzzled.
Benny squinted for a long time, answering somewhat uncertainly.
“Elizabeth Koch, Charles’ daughter, he didn’t come, but he sent his daughter.”
The daughter of the Koch family’s Sect Leader.
Robert standing in the front row doesn’t mean much, the key is who stands with him in the front row.
In the power games of America, the established and systematic rules belong to Capitol Hill and the White House, at most including the Supreme Court, even the Pentagon has little say in it.
However, outside of the established and systematic game rules, America also has an unwritten rule that ordinary people cannot reach.
Wolf’s wedding brought such unwritten rules to the extreme.
Many senior members of both chambers came, even the current Federal Judge who graduated from the same university as Tiffany, and the Great Commander of America also attended.
But among those standing in the front row, senators were in the minority.
Is it because they didn’t want to stand in the front row?
Not at all, at least ordinary Senators wouldn’t foolishly squeeze to the front—that would label them as fools.
In the recently concluded silent but highly dramatic act of yielding, the ones left standing in the front row were all recognized as ‘big men’.
The Turtle Premier, Larry Ellison, Schumer, Dai’an, Robert Egger, Niusen, Robert, Elizabeth Koch….
Among them are leaders in American politics, legendary figures in the business realm, and of course, the unlucky California Rancher who’s recently been in the spotlight.
Logically, such an event involving many big figures should have name tags prepared.
But most of Wolf and Tiffany’s invited guests are ‘insiders’ of America, making it hard to arrange tags.
So, they divided the wedding into two parts, starting with the ceremony in the palace courtyard—where guests stood silently and offered their blessings.
Afterwards, came the indoor banquet, where seating could be arranged according to group affiliations.
“Alright, why do I feel like today is not a wedding but a coronation ceremony?
Look at these people waiting here, our respected Mr. Wolf Dracula could be inaugurated as America’s first Emperor under their witness.”
Sheriff Gru made sarcastic remarks, Benny didn’t quite get it, so he assumed Gru was joking.
“Hahaha, if he becomes Emperor, it would also be good for us, at least you could be conferred a Grand Duke—His Highness Duke Gru of San Rodolfo~”
Benny’s mouth was so talkative that Gru’s expression twitched slightly, saying.
“Whoever wants to be the Duke of San Rodolfo can have it, I just have my eye on Las Vegas, just confer me the Governor of Las Vegas.”
Only the people of San Rodolfo know how lousy it is, compared to the so-called crappy City of Angels, Gru would rather choose the Gold Demonic Cave.
“You know, there’s now a special school of thought that believes many of America’s problems today stem from not experiencing the feudal stage.
National development should follow a process from slavery to feudalism, and then to democracy, after our independence war, we directly entered a coexistence of slavery and democracy.
Later, through civil war, we eliminated slavery, but ultimately, we missed a necessary historical stage, so we Americans lack a sense of main national identity similar to Western European countries.”
Gru looked at Benny up and down in disbelief and asked.
“Fak, I was just joking, don’t tell me you, big fool, took it seriously?”
Benny cocked his chin, signaling Gru to stop talking nonsense, the ceremony was starting.
—————–
In the center of the courtyard, Wolf was pushing his beloved father to stand there.
The Great Commander held Tiffany’s hand, walking towards Wolf in the music.
When Wolf took Tiffany’s hand from the Great Commander, they all smiled brightly as they turned towards the guests.
Hmm, no one cared about old Joel—everyone assumed he was happy too.
However, looking at the guests, the Great Commander suddenly realized.
Today, at least half of the most powerful people in America were present.
Senior core politicians from both parties, except for Nanxi, all attended, and some former Great Commanders sent other family members.
Commercial leaders from both coasts also came in droves, these people had business dealings with the Dracula Family, or wanted to cozy up to the Great Commander.
Wolf Dracula, a top tycoon in America, the leader of the California Elephant Party, and the rising star of the West Coast Elephant Party.
Tiffany, daughter of the Great Commander of America, backed by the holder of America’s supreme power, her father can make the world tremble with a word.
