Chapter 1066: Chapter 120: Has the Wild Experiment of Neoliberalism Succeeded? _2
“To uncover the truth of the situation, we’ve invited the Republican Party’s most distinguished Congressman, Mr. Kevin, whom everyone is already familiar with.”
Being praised by a pro-Democratic Party media as the ‘Republican Party’s most distinguished Congressman’, Kevin McCarthy has pretty much achieved his life’s work.
It’s similar to certain people who die at a young age, except the body keeps living until its biological end by inertia.
McCarthy loves to hop around and engage in bipartisan collaboration to showcase his abilities, but he has to bear the consequences of such backlash!
“Kevin, long time no see.”
“Long time no see, Cui.”
Kevin still looks the same, bearing that annoying face, pretending to act all proper.
“If I recall correctly, this isn’t your first time on the Daily Show?”
Cui Wa and McCarthy’s conversation is in semi-script mode, at least these opening words aren’t scripted.
“Yes, but last time I came, the host wasn’t you, it seems you chased off Jiong Situ.”
Canned laughter ensues, audiences in front of the TV enjoy this participatory program format.
They have no relation to Jiong Situ, nor to Cui Wa, but through witnessing changes in the Daily Show, they gain a false sense of participation.
“Hahaha, Kevin, I want to know the Republican Party legislators’ attitude towards the death of the Nigerian ambassador, could you share a bit with me?”
Kevin, a California-born Republican Congressman, is quite known for stirring things up, but his upbringing limits his ceiling.
That’s why he seeks exposure on pro-Democratic Party media like the Daily Show.
Therefore, even though Cui Wa’s question is a bit sensitive, Kevin still responded.
“Due to principles, loyalty, confidentiality, and other factors, I can’t disclose some thoughts of others—although I know them, I can’t reveal.”
“Alright, let him off, do we have backup guests for tonight?”
Cui Wa timely jests, prompting laughter again.
“No, I mean, I can share my own viewpoint.”
Kevin quickly gestures with his hands.
“Your viewpoint? Alright, Kev, speak the truth, I’ve had enough of politicians’ baloney, I think my audience is too.”
This is America’s political talk show.
Seems really sharp, doesn’t it?
Nonsense!
Just liberal nipple entertainment, if Daqi can already be seen as part of the Deep State, then neither Kevin nor Cui Wa are more than slaves to the Deep State.
All they can do is lightly curse a few words, other than that, they can’t do anything.
“The Nigeria situation is simple, only two things, one is the potential Great Commander future son-in-law case, the other is the already occurred ambassador assassination case.
From my perspective….”
—————–
“Why did you turn it off? I was still listening.”
Sitting beside Mi’er, Mr. Cheng closes his eyes, pretending to nap while listening to the Daily Show on her phone.
But Mi’er turned off the show, leaving him a bit disappointed.
“Currently, there are nearly countless versions of conspiracy theories out there, McCarthy’s merely seeking a new angle or rehashing the old tune; what does he know?”
Temir thinks, you’re the mastermind behind the scenes, is there any need to listen to outsiders’ speculations?
“I still need to understand other people’s thoughts….” Mr. Cheng answered.
Shooting an arrow isn’t just about releasing it, he wants to see if he hit the target or not.
“Alright, we’ve arrived, have your secretary organize it later, make a report, there’s no need to waste time on this garbage show.”
In fact, Mr. Cheng didn’t plan to waste time either; he was just casually listening.
Off the car, looking at the Joel Dracula Institute sign, Mr. Cheng nodded with satisfaction.
Although the institute is currently controlled by Wolf, Wolf is ultimately one of his own.
Despite intense secret struggles, they belong to the same faction.
Seeing his faction growing more prosperous, Mr. Cheng is inwardly very gratified.
“Chan, hahaha, Miss Temir, welcome, welcome.”
Seeing Mr. Cheng and Mi’er arrive, the institute’s honorary Vice Chairman Magnus quickly came forward.
Magnus is actually half an outsider, but this guy is too eager to advance, always offering money and paying respect, hoping for interaction opportunities with Mr. Cheng once in a while.
His enthusiasm is maxed out; before he had no chance, now he wouldn’t give up an opportunity.
“No need to wait for us, let’s go in together.”
Cheng Daqi patted his shoulder and said with a smile.
Magnus’s face is like a blooming sunflower, smiling comically, leading the two who actually know where to go into the institute.
Inside the academic discussion room, Wolf had already taken his seat, purposefully leaving two spots beside him, Crusoe was sitting relatively far, on the other side of the empty spots.
Needless to say, these were reserved for Mr. Cheng and Temir.
Members like Magnus, despite holding a not-so-low standing in the California Elephant Party, compared to big shots like Mr. Cheng, can only sit to the side.
“Let’s start, finish early, I have a transoceanic flight tonight, the schedule is quite tight.” Cheng Daqi ordered.
“Where are you going?” Chairman Wolf tilted his head and asked Mr. Cheng.
Brother, are you alright?
We’re now at the final assault stage, are you really running away, and across the ocean!
What, could it be you’re pre-emptively repositioning?
Wolf can’t help but suspect, truly Cheng Daqi is too cunning.
Having sparred with Mr. Cheng for so long, Wolf knows well how his farts smell.
“My company in Hua Country is going public, flying to HK for the bell ringing, meeting investors and issuing institutions.”
