Chapter 386: 385 Nasty Craziness: Delivered to your door, do you want it?
As Sussie Lopez rode the elevator down to the first floor, the temperature difference fogged the glass door with a layer of white mist. When she pushed open the door to leave, the cold wind, carrying flecks of snow, hit her face, dispersing the warmth from her body.
Finn Hale was still talking with that person. That person offered him a cigarette, but he smiled and refused.
He carried an air of authority, restrained and proud.
Glancing over...
Their eyes met, and a hint of strange color flitted across his own.
He took big strides, quickly closing the distance between them.
The very next second,
With a stretch of his long arm, Sussie was wrapped in his down jacket.
He still carried the scent of snow on him, cold and clear, yet his body was fiery and scalding.
"Why did you come out wearing slippers?" His voice was close to her ear, deep and hoarse, his breath hot and tinged with the scent of black tea, scorching against her ear.
Sussie was wearing a coat but had forgotten to change her shoes. It was only after he mentioned it that she realized the cold wind had penetrated through to her feet.
Finn half-embraced her as they walked toward the elevator, "Which floor?"
"Seventh floor."
"Your friend is still outside."
"It was just a chance encounter, casual chit-chat."
By this time, it was close to midnight and the hotel was silent. Only the two of them were in the elevator. Sussie glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, "Why did you suddenly come over? Is there work?"
"No."
"Then that is..."
"Didn’t you say you missed me? So I came."
Finn brushed away the snowflakes from his clothes, his tone nonchalant.
"When did I say I missed you..." Before Sussie could finish, Finn turned his head and kissed her.
The unexpected kiss made her tremble, instinctively she stepped back, her back against the elevator wall, and as he pressed his body against her, he wrapped his arms around her.
Lips grazing...
Both restrained and lingering.
As their lips parted slightly, he took hers, his words blurred, "Alright, you didn’t miss me."
"Is it that I miss you, want to see you, can I?"
His breath scorched her moist, ruby lips.
His dominating presence enveloped her, leaving no room for escape.
"I’m about to return to Capital City soon, you didn’t have to come specially."
"You’ve been away too long, I was afraid you’d run off."
Finn leaned in to kiss her.
The faint scent of tea mingled with the snow, like a catalyst with sparks.
In that moment, her chest vibrated, and it seemed to Sussie she could hear the heartbeat close to her ear, "thump, thump—" pounding fiercely, her blood surged, tinting her face crimson.
Her body heated up, with a searing tremor.
Shaking her stance.
Her mind,
Completely scrambled by him.
A man like Finn, usually maintaining a lofty detachment, when such a man whispered sweet nothings, it was like a fallen deity, overwhelming to resist.
Yet his gaze fell upon her slippers, a smile touching his lips.
So eager to run out and see him, she must have really missed him.
When the elevator reached the seventh floor, Finn led her out, "Which room?"
"This way." Sussie pointed to the left.
"Are you staying by yourself?"
"Mhm."
"Mind if I spend the night?"
Finn said it so casually, his tone as nonchalant as if they were discussing the weather.
Sussie was perturbed by his "I miss you," and before she realized it, she had led Finn into the bedroom, where he took off his coat and hung it to the side, giving the room a once-over.
To tell the truth,
It was a bit messy!
Sussie had come for work; the desk was covered with a computer, and there were unsorted drawings and files, along with various other items. She hurriedly began to tidy up, while Finn stood aside, watching her leisurely, a faint smile on his lips.
"Why didn’t you tell me before coming over?"
She would have cleaned up earlier so the room wouldn’t be this disordered.
"The weather forecast predicted a heavy snowfall tonight, possibly blocking roads. I was afraid I wouldn’t make it and disappoint you."
Finn had also acted on a whim.
He had been keeping track of the weather in the city where Sussie was.
Knowing there was snow.
He remembered, back in Capital City when it snowed, Sussie had built a snowman with a few colleagues under the studio building.
The snowman was ugly,
Yet she had taken to social media to show it off proudly.
Presumably, she liked the snow, so he had come.
Warmth blossomed in Sussie’s heart as she listened. She had just stuffed the clothes carelessly into her suitcase when she sensed someone approaching from behind.
His cologne, the scent of snow, hadn’t dissipated yet, and his burning breath brushed over the sensitive skin of her nape...
It made her body tremble with heat.
"Finn?"
She had barely spoken when Finn Hale bent his head to kiss the back of her neck.
His hair was slightly wet with fine snow, the tips cool as they brushed against her neck.
The chill of the snow,
The scorching heat of breath,
Mingling, intertwining,
Throwing the mind into disarray.
Sussie Lopez bit her lip, her breathing growing ragged.
She was turned around, and as they faced each other, he covered her completely.
Heat,
Spreading through the air.
Unlike the friction in the elevator, his kisses were urgent, making it hard to breathe. A delicate flush spread across Sussie Lopez’s face, but her phone vibrated inappropriately with a call from a colleague.
"I need to take a call, it might be work."
Sussie Lopez pulled her phone out of her pocket, and just as she greeted, her colleague said excitedly: "Miss Lopez, your boyfriend is here."
"Huh?"
"Somebody saw his car; it’s right below the hotel. Is he here for you?"
"..."
"It’s unexpected, Mr. Hale always seems so aloof and proud, but he can still surprise people. You should seize the opportunity and snag him; I’m looking forward to your wedding."
"I need to hang up," Sussie Lopez said, coughing.
"Let me tell you, when it’s time to take the initiative, don’t be coy. By the way, have you seen Mr. Hale?"
"If it snows heavily tonight, tomorrow’s schedule will definitely be canceled, so just spend it nicely with Mr. Hale."
"You’ve lost weight recently, let him take good care of you."
"Mr. Hale came all the way to you, you need to step it up."
Her colleague, who is married, speaks without any scruples about indecency.
Yet Sussie Lopez’s face turned red with embarrassment.
What a bad influence!
Finn Hale pecked at the corners of her lips, his voice tinged with amusement, "Why aren’t you talking?"
Sussie Lopez bit her lip. What could she say?
She had never noticed such a terrible side to Finn Hale before.
Still wearing her down jacket in the heated room, her body felt like it was emanating heat.
So hot it seemed like it could start a fire.
Once the coat was removed, she wore a loose and light nightgown. As the clothes were stripped away, her body shivered, but the man before her remained fully dressed.
"Feel cold?" Finn Hale said, noticing her shiver.
"A little."
"Hold onto me, and you won’t be cold."
Finn Hale’s body always seemed to be scorching hot. Sussie Lopez reached out to wrap her arms around his waist. Due to their deep kiss earlier, her eyes were moist, alluring.
He lowered his head, burying it in her neck, his voice hoarse, "Sussie..."
"Is it okay tonight?"
Sussie Lopez was the one who had been drinking tonight, seduced to the point where heat smoldered in her very bones.
"I want you."
"What do you think? After all..."
"I’ve come right to your doorstep."
His voice was sultry, as if drenched in liquor,
Seeping straight into her thin earlobes.
Sussie Lopez wrapped her hands around his waist, and even through the clothes, she could feel the lean strength of his waist. He looked down at her, waiting for an answer.
Direct,
Eager,
Leaving no room for escape.
Sussie Lopez blushed, but deep down, she was bold. Biting her lip, she tightened her arms, "I want..."
Finn Hale chuckled lowly, his eyes dark with desire.
He nibbled at her ear, still enticing her.
"What do you want?"
"I want you..."
Sussie Lopez’s face was so red it could bleed, and as she reached out to push him away, he instead pressed her down onto the table.
She did have the courage, and wasn’t used to her clothes being disheveled while someone else remained neatly dressed. She reached out to tug at his clothes, biting her lip...
But her body trembled uncontrollably.
Outside, the snow fell heavier, blanketing the ground in a deceptive layer of silver white.
There was wind tonight, but no moon. Snowlight shone into the room as someone intended to bully her, shedding away any facade of reserved stability.
Provoking,
Seducing,
Terribly, madly,
Making her blush and crumble, dragging her into the abyss.
...
The falling snow was silent until the accumulated snow bowed down the branches, spilling from the treetops. Inside and out, the temperature difference fogged up the glass bed with a layer of white mist, obscuring the view inside the room.
A voice slowly traveled to her ear, "You are finally..."
"A moon that belongs to me and me alone."
