Chapter 190: 190 Cohabitation, doing even more outrageous things to you (Part 2)
Finn Hale said this and glanced at Zoe Bell beside him, "The incense sticks you gave me last time were really good for calming the mind, get some more for me."
"Okay."
Zoe was naturally very pleased that someone liked the things she made.
But William Hale clearly saw that his uncle was deliberately changing the subject.
Still, if he didn’t want to talk, no one could pry the reason out of him.
However, after taking the incense sticks from Zoe, Finn glanced at William, "You should pay more attention to Hannah recently."
"I understand."
Finn was referring to Isaac Shea.
But William thought he meant the Hugh Family was recently having a rough time and was worried that Hannah Johnson might not withstand it.
After Finn returned to his room, he flipped through the design drawings on his desk and muttered to himself:
As an uncle, I’ve fulfilled my duty to remind.
Whether William can realize it,
is up to him.
These two lived in the same neighborhood; if Hannah Johnson was really dating this Little Shea teacher right under his nose, it would be quite interesting.
William knew his uncle had a scheming side, but he didn’t expect that in one’s own family, he would target him. Returning to the room with Zoe, of course, he had what he considered important matters to tend to.
He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, and hot kisses landed behind her ear.
Sensitively,
Zoe’s body couldn’t help but tremble.
Feeling his breath growing heavier, Zoe patted the hand around her waist, "I haven’t showered yet."
"We’ll shower after we’re done."
"..."
In this respect, Zoe could never resist him.
He teased her mercilessly, deliberately playing with her; he delayed and tormented her until she was very uncomfortable.
In the bed,
to the bathroom,
on the mirror above the washstand, yet again, there were blurred fingerprints, crisscrossing and overlapping, making them impossible to examine closely.
She had been too tired lately with her online store, and with him pestering her like this, by the time it was over, her voice nearly turned to a whimper when Joy Watson from her store’s customer service called to give her a work update.
"Sister Zoe, are you alright?" asked Joy Watson, frowning.
"Just tell me if there’s something."
"It’s about a client complaint, saying our incense smoke is thick and smells bad, asking for a refund without returning the product."
Zoe was stunned for a moment. This was the first time she encountered this since opening the store. Incense inevitably produces smoke; as for the amount of smoke, it varies with personal tolerance, so she agreed to just the refund.
After hanging up, William saw her opening her phone again to check on the online store she was running and raised his eyebrows, "Mrs. Hale, it’s already past eleven."
"I’m checking the backend for complaints."
"Is that Mr. Shea good-looking?"
"Hmm?"
Zoe was momentarily stunned by his question, her gaze shifting from her phone to stare suspiciously at him, then instantly understanding. No wonder he’d been pestering her all evening, deliberately tormenting her.
Was this the root cause?
After being jealous of her interaction with her uncle last time, now it was Mr. Shea’s turn. Maybe he was a vinegar jar in his past life.
"So, you think he looks good?"
William nodded, sat on the edge of the bed, grabbed her delicate ankle, and began massaging her right leg. His palms were hot, and the rubbing was indeed comfortable.
"So... you’re saying I don’t look good?"
"It’s not the same style."
"What kind of style does he have?"
"He seems very clean."
"I’m not clean."
"..."
Zoe felt it was impossible to communicate with him. She tried to pull her ankle out of his grip, but he held on even tighter, and his fingers started to boldly move up her leg...
"I’m still busy!"
"Let’s take care of me first and work on that tomorrow," William replied, his eyes dark and fervent, wolf-like, ready to devour her.
And as it turned out, Zoe was indeed devoured without anything left.
By the time they finished, it was very late.
Barely managing to get up for a shower, she lay bonelessly on the bed, browsed through her store one more time, and was just about to drift off when she felt a cool touch on her finger.
Groggily opening her eyes, they suddenly widened.
On her ring finger, a diamond ring sat quietly.
The Egret Feather Tiara Ring, the main diamond was so large, it hardly seemed real.
Even under the dim indoor lights, it refracted a brilliant fire.
"This is..." Zoe Bell turned her head to look at her.
"I came across it on a business trip, it needed to be custom-made, so it took some time." William Hale had been observing her expression, "What? You don’t like it?"
"I like it."
"A gift for the new store’s opening."
Zoe had never received a ring before, and that diamond seemed almost too large to be real.
At that moment, she was neither tired nor sleepy, staring at the diamond ring for a long time.
No wonder everyone liked diamonds, they really were beautiful.
Finn Hale, resigned:
She only stared at the ring, neglecting the living person that was him right beside her.
Zoe was quite excited, too; she picked up her phone and took a few photos to send to Hannah Johnson.
——
Meanwhile, several hours earlier
Hannah Johnson was driving, and Isaac Shea sat in the passenger seat, appearing to be in a very good mood.
The car went directly to Yarden.
Upon entering, Fanta stretched and crawled out of the cat bed and then... moving her plump body, she rubbed against Isaac Shea’s feet, causing Hannah’s brows to furrow deeply.
When had her cat switched allegiances?
Hannah watched as Isaac Shea bent down, squatted a bit, patted Fanta on the head, and then pointed to the cat bed, "Go back to sleep."
Then, her cat, twisting her body, actually went back to the bed.
"What exactly have you done to it?" Hannah was astounded.
Fanta, the cat she had picked up, had some temperament issues. Ever since her cousin took her for neutering and she held a grudge until now, the cat seldom grew close to anyone, let alone obey someone.
"Perhaps, it and I just hit it off."
Isaac Shea said as he bent down to fetch her slippers, very familiar with the task.
"Are you hungry? Want me to make you something to eat?"
Hannah shook her head; she had to admit that Isaac Shea knew how to take care of people.
"Can I move in tomorrow?" he asked.
"Mhm, you should still remember the code."
After saying this, Hannah looked at him again, "I agree to let you move in, but we need to set some ground rules. If my grandmother or my mother come over..."
"I’ll steer clear."
"Even if it’s Simon, I don’t want him to know about our relationship."
"I won’t tell."
"Sometimes I’m busy with work, and I may not have the time to return your calls or texts."
"I’m very understanding."
"..."
Hannah’s demands were somewhat unreasonable, yet he agreed to them all. She looked at Isaac Shea again, "If you have any conditions, now’s the time to state them."
"I do have one."
Hannah raised an eyebrow, took off her jacket and hung it to one side, signaling him to speak while she turned to pour herself a drink. Isaac Shea, however, stepped forward, bracing his hands on the countertop, his body pressing close to her, as if to embrace her from behind.
Her breath hitched, and her act of drinking came to a halt.
With their jackets off and both dressed lightly, through the thin layer of cloth, she could almost distinctly feel the steady and strong heartbeat against her back, forceful and dominant...
Beat after beat, it made her heart tremble.
That indescribable palpitation left her somewhat at a loss.
She knew how to do business, but she was inexperienced in this regard.
Isaac Shea lowered his head, his fervent breath warming her ear, heat spreading, "I’ve agreed to so much for you, so in the future, can I hold you..."
"Kiss you,"
"And even... do more brazen things to you?"
His body leaned in further, almost imprisoning her between himself and the table.
Closely pressed, without a sliver of space.
She had brought the man home, so naturally, Hannah was prepared for anything that might happen.
She nodded, and then her body was turned around.
By his stooping neck, she was kissed.
He was somewhat eager, his movements slightly clumsy, causing her a little pain with his bite...
Was this a Puppy? It’s clearly a wolf!
