Chapter 113 Zoe Goes Berserk: Smashing Her House (Two Updates More)

Chapter 113: 113 Zoe Goes Berserk: Smashing Her House (Two Updates More)

Director Hall heard this and froze for a long time, then suddenly thought of something, "Do you want to go back to get something first?"

Zoe Bell turned her head to look at her, "Mommy Hall, do you really hope I go back to the Bell Family?"

"I just want you to be happy."

"..."

A silence hard to describe spread between them.

Zoe Bell’s lips carried a faint smile, but the smile seemed unfamiliar, especially in her eyes. They were smiling, yet seemingly devoid of any emotion toward her, making her inexplicably panic-stricken.

She looked toward the driver, "Driver, where are we going?"

The driver remained silent.

"Driver?" Director Hall furrowed her brows, "I’m asking you a question."

Still no reply.

This gave her a sense of unease, and she quickly looked at Zoe Bell, taking out her phone to send her a message.

[Zoe, are we in an unlicensed taxi?]

Zoe Bell just smiled, and at this moment, the car turned into a newly built villa area in Greenland of the past few years. The Stone Family lived here, the price slightly lower than Larkhill, but still incredibly expensive.

There are only three or four of the top villa areas in Greenland, and this is one of them.

At the entrance, the driver and the security guard exchanged some words, and they were allowed to pass through.

As the car entered, Director Hall became visibly restless.

"Zoe, have you been living here all this time?" Director Hall asked quietly.

The smile on Zoe Bell’s lips remained light as she looked at her sideways, "Mommy Hall, don’t you have anything else to say to me?"

"Say what?"

Director Hall sighed, "Zoe, one cannot burn one’s bridges."

"Whether or not you can marry into the Hale Family in the future, if you have no familial support, will they respect you?"

"What will people say at your wedding banquet if there’s not a single person from your family there? We’re all family; there are no overnight feuds."

...

As they spoke, the car slowly stopped in front of a villa.

Zoe Bell cut her off at the right moment, "Mommy Hall, we’re here."

All the villas here were built uniformly. From the outside, there’s not much difference, but when Director Hall got out of the car and saw the house number, her body stiffened, her pupils dilated as if she saw some soul-stealing specter.

"Mommy Hall, what’s wrong?" Zoe Bell looked at her with an innocent face.

"No, nothing at all."

The autumn sun, softened by the recent typhoon, was not intense. It felt warm but not hot on one’s skin, yet Director Hall’s hands by her side kept clenching tighter, full of fear and trembling...

Pure terror filled her eyes!

Her complexion turned deathly pale, a chill climbing up from her feet, cold sweat instantly covering her back and forehead.

"Mommy Hall, are you feeling hot?" Zoe Bell’s voice was gentle, like a breeze in March, but to Director Hall’s ears, it sounded like the frost of deep winter, sending chills all over her body.

"I’m not cold."

"But you’re sweating."

Zoe Bell took out a tissue, intending to help her wipe it away, but the moment her fingers touched her...

Her body shuddered violently, instinctively swatting the hand away.

"Zoe, let’s hurry on to the Bell Family instead."

She turned, wanting to leave!

The driver, who had previously been sitting in the driver’s seat, had already gotten out of the car and stretched out his hand to block her path.

"What... what are you doing?"

At that moment,

She seemed to suddenly understand something, turning her head to look at Zoe Bell, "Zoe? What does this mean?"

"Why panic?"

"I’m not panicking!"

"We’re right at the doorstep, Mommy Hall, won’t you invite me in for a sit?"

That statement struck like a thunderbolt from a clear sky.

The last trace of color drained from her originally plump, round face, and as the cool autumn breeze blew, the cold seeped right into her bones.

She tensed up, her chest heaving.

Her complexion alternating between pale and flushed, she looked utterly frightening.

"Zoe, Zoe? What are you talking about?" her voice shook uncontrollably.

"You’re really confused, how could this be my home? With my salary of just a few thousand a month, you wouldn’t think you had a row with Mr. Hale and got so upset you weren’t thinking clearly."

"It’s a fingerprint lock, give it a try." Zoe Bell said with a faint smile.

"This is someone else’s home. If you accidentally trigger an alarm, they’ll call the police. Stop messing around and let’s leave!"

Director Hall tried to pull Zoe away, but the driver grasped her hand firmly, dragging her to the doorstep.

Director Hall was stunned, "What are you doing? Let go of me, what is this? Do you believe I’ll call people over?"

"Go ahead and shout." Zoe’s smile faded, "Your voice might be loud enough to attract the neighbors and the security guards."

"Or perhaps, you’d like to call the police?"

"I can help you with that as well."

"..."

A few simple sentences had silenced Director Hall instantly, and the so-called driver, holding her hand, started to try the fingerprints on the lock, beginning with the right thumb.

They only got to the ring finger when a crisp, short sound was heard.

"Click—" The door unexpectedly swung open.

In that moment, Director Hall seemed as if someone had drained all her strength, her back went rigid, and she was beside herself.

If it weren’t for the driver supporting her, she would have likely collapsed on the spot.

Zoe, however, stepped past her, pushed the door open and entered the villa. The decoration was exquisite, a vision of luxury.

The coffee table in the living room was even made of rosewood, and the vases were the finest porcelain. A massive crystal chandelier hung above; the sunlight streaming in from outside refracted a dazzling light.

"Mommy Hall, can you explain to me why your fingerprint is on the lock if this is not your house?" Zoe surveyed the house.

The furniture and appliances were all brand new, showing signs of occupancy, but very recent.

"How should I know?" Director Hall was still trying to be tough, "Zoe, what on earth are you trying to do? You’re trespassing, which is illegal."

"Oh, then call the police."

Zoe’s mobility was limited, so she strolled slowly around the living room. She turned her head and said to the driver, "Kyle Lowe, give her the phone to call the police."

This driver was none other than Kyle Lowe.

Kyle Lowe shoved the phone into Director Hall’s hands. Her fingers were ice-cold, trembling so much she could hardly hold it.

The phone fell to the ground with a crash.

"What’s the matter?" Zoe turned her head, smiling, "Mommy Hall seems to be getting on in years, she can’t even hold a phone steady. Kyle, why don’t you call the police for her."

"Alright."

Just as Kyle picked up the phone, ready to dial 110, Director Hall snatched the phone back and turned to Zoe, "What exactly do you want to do!"

"Why, not pretending anymore?" Zoe chuckled softly.

At that moment, the sound of a car arrived from outside...

Director Hall turned pale with fright because, judging by the sound of the engine, it had stopped right outside the door.

The door was not closed, and after two knocks, it was pushed open, "Sorry to disturb."

The one who entered,

Was not a police officer.

It was Kevin Bell!

"What place is this?" Kevin Bell was baffled, glanced at the ashen-faced Director Hall who was making gesturing with her eyebrows, signaling to ask what was going on. "Why did you ask me to come here?"

"I didn’t ask you." Director Hall felt her head was about to explode.

"Whose home is this?" Kevin still didn’t understand, looking confused, he glanced at Zoe too.

Her eyes landed on a cabinet with an antique vase placed on top. Her gaze shifted, then rested on a piece of calligraphy hanging in the living room.

Inscribed were four characters, "All Blessings?"

A wry smile brushed her lips.

She clenched the vase, suddenly lifted her arm, and hurled it at the wall-hung calligraphy—

With a loud crash,

The vase and the framed glass shattered on the floor, and the calligraphy swayed and then thudded down.

An "All Blessings" piece was destroyed!

She raised her hand again and smashed another decoration nearby.

Kevin was completely dumbfounded:

Whose house was this? Had this girl gone mad?

She was rampaging through someone else’s house, wreaking havoc!

Director Hall instinctively screamed out in horror, "Zoe Bell, have you lost your mind! Do you have any idea how much that vase and that piece of calligraphy are worth?"

"How much? Tell me about it." Zoe turned to look at her.

"I also want to know how much donation money you’ve actually swallowed over the years!"
