Chapter 95: Chapter 95: The Pavilion Close to Water Gets the Moon First
Lin Qian’s hand retracted as if scalded, and she shuffled towards the car door.
"Candy, Zirui, come and sit quickly."
Yin Moran glanced at her flushed earlobes with an ostensibly composed face, the corners of his mouth curving slightly.
"Mommy, today you and Daddy came to pick up me and Zirui, are we going back to the villa or the apartment?"
Candy snuggled up to Lin Qian, her beautiful big eyes shining bright, expectantly looking at her.
Mommy and Daddy progressed so quickly since last night.
So happy!
"Candy, Zirui and I..."
"We’re all going back to the villa."
Yin Moran casually took up the conversation.
Lin Qian was startled, turning to look at Yin Moran; her red lips pursed slightly.
Going back to the villa with them?
Is this... appropriate?
"Mr. Yin, this is not quite right. It would be better if you could just help Zirui and me find a hotel."
Currently, she was at the center of controversy; if the reporters caught her entering Yin Moran’s villa, wouldn’t the news about her spread even wider?
"Why would we need to stay at a hotel?"
Candy’s previously excited face fell, and she pouted, "Mommy, don’t you like living with Candy?"
"Yeah, Mommy, why do we have to stay at a hotel? Can’t we go home to stay?"
Lin Zirui also looked puzzled.
Even if they didn’t stay at the villa, they had their own home, so why go to a hotel?
"Zirui, I..."
"Lin Qian, how long are you going to be so pretentious?"
Yin Moran interrupted Lin Qian, his face visibly darkening, "Are you afraid I have ulterior motives and will take advantage of you?"
"That’s not it..."
"Then what is it?"
Yin Moran interrupted again, "At this time, if you won’t consider your own interests, you should at least consider Zirui’s. Shouldn’t you arrange a safe living environment for him until things are resolved?"
His words made Lin Qian obediently close her mouth.
Alright!
He made sense.
Even if she felt it was not appropriate, now was not the time for pretenses.
She really couldn’t disregard her son’s welfare.
The reporters were relentless.
The security of a hotel couldn’t possibly compare with that of the Yin Family’s villa.
"Mommy, what happened?"
Lin Zirui sensed something amiss and quickly asked.
"It’s..."
"There’s no big problem. Don’t worry, Mr. Yin will take care of things for your mommy."
Her words cut off once more, Lin Qian felt like she had no right to speak today.
A certain man dominantly spoke on her behalf.
However, it seemed as if a warm current was slowly spreading, warming her heart and spleen.
Lin Zirui looked left and right, feeling suspicious, yet somehow, inexplicably reassured.
It was as if someone could take his place in caring for Mommy.
He could confidently entrust his Mommy to him.
"Yay, that’s awesome! Today Mommy and Zirui will both stay in the big villa. Mommy, can we live together every day from now on?"
The happiest one had to be Candy.
She didn’t care what was happening between the adults.
All she knew was that, after so long, Daddy had finally coaxed Mommy into their home!
Lin Qian, amused and exasperated, ruffled her soft hair and casually shifted the topic.
Yin Moran, sitting nearby, smiled subtly, his gaze drifting to a notebook beside him, his black eyes slightly narrowed, his handsome face giving nothing away.
The car made its way toward the Yin Family’s villa, arriving before long.
Upon alighting from the car, Candy wore a look of excitement, clutching Lin Qian’s hand and chattering away without a moment’s pause.
The butler hurried to greet the four as they returned home.
"Sir Kun, today my mommy and Zirui are staying in the villa, and they’ll be living here from now on," Candy announced, tilting her little face up toward the butler as if to deliver the good news.
"Very well, I’ll arrange accommodations for Miss Lin and Young Master Lin right away."
The butler beamed with joy, and looking at Yin Moran, he felt today his young master was in particularly high spirits.
Lin Qian felt awkward and could only look down at Lin Zirui, "Honey, say thank you to Grandpa Butler."
"Thank you, Grandpa Butler."
"There’s no need for thanks, I’ve got things to attend to," the butler said respectfully before withdrawing.
The four of them, adults leading children by the hand, resembled a perfect painting under the dying glow of the sunset.
Once inside the hall, Lin Qian didn’t feel it was right to sit idly by, so she let the two little ones off to play and made her way to the kitchen, where she began preparing dinner with the servants as if she were well-acquainted with the task.
Yin Moran poured himself a glass of water, watching the woman hurry off to the kitchen. The laughter and commotion of the two little ones filled the air, and his heart felt as if it were brimming over.
Such liveliness was quite pleasant indeed.
After dinner, Candy couldn’t wait to take Lin Qian and Lin Zirui upstairs to see their rooms.
"Sir Kun, where’s mommy and Zirui’s room?"
"Please follow me," he answered.
The butler led the trio upstairs, with Yin Moran in good spirits, tagging along.
Upstairs, the butler introduced each room, "This one is Miss Lin’s room, and that one over there is Young Master Lin’s room."
"Oh! Mommy’s room is right next to daddy’s! And Zirui’s room is next to mine!"
Grinning, Candy nodded sagely, "Fortune comes to those who live by the water first. Dad, you just need to push a bit harder, and next time you might coax mommy into your room."
"Candy, the phrase about fortune coming to those by the water doesn’t quite fit here, but I agree with your subsequent point," Yin Moran interjected.
Lin Qian: "..."
Could these two little ones not tease her in such perfect sync?
Lin Qian, caught between laughter and tears, looked to the butler who was all smiles. His gaze then shifted to Yin Moran, who stood with his hands in his pockets, and blinked knowingly.
The young master really should step up his game. It was high time the villa got its lady of the house.
After touring the bedrooms with the butler and also visiting the entire villa floor, Lin Qian, having climbed up and down six levels, was covered in sweat.
The opulence of the wealthy was unmistakable; the villa came with every facility imaginable.
There were play areas for the kids, leisure zones for adults, each space exquisitely decorated, offering entertainment for days on end without needing to step outside.
While appreciating the hallways lined with renowned masterpieces, Lin Qian descended the stairs.
Lost in admiration, she somehow misstepped, lunging forward uncontrollably.
"Ah!" Lin Qian cried out, instinctively closing her eyes.
"Careful."
She felt a sudden weight on her arm, and was swiftly enveloped in an embrace.
In a daze from the spinning sensation, she realized she was now firmly clasped in someone’s arms.
Slowly opening her eyes, she saw she was being held by Yin Moran, who had rolled down the stairs with her.
Two little heads then popped out from around the corner of the corridor, staring at them in shock.
They rushed over quickly.
"Mommy, daddy, are you both okay?"
"Mommy, Mr. Yin, are you alright?"
She was fine.
But what about the person who had shielded her?
Swallowing nervously, Lin Qian looked up at Yin Moran with a sense of helplessness, "Yin Moran, are you hurt?"
"What do you think?"
His dark eyes flickered mysteriously, "If I end up lame because of you, would you take care of me for the rest of my life?"
Lin Qian: "..."
It couldn’t be that serious, could it?
"Dad, don’t worry, mommy isn’t irresponsible. If you’re like this, she’ll definitely take care of you for life."
"Yes, my mommy is the most responsible person, she’ll take care of Mr. Yin for life."
Lin Qian: "..."
Dear little angels, could you please stop digging holes for me!
