Chapter 66: Chapter 66 You’re the One Being Improper

Watching Lin Qian’s hands tightly protect her chest, her almond eyes round and staring, Yin Moran’s eyes flickered slightly as the corners of his mouth hooked into a wicked smile.

"So eager to wash yourself? You have some wounds on your back, and even if you wash, you’d better stay away from water. How about... I help you?"

He was going to help her!

Teasing her again!

Lin Qian huffed, "Yin Moran, aren’t you supposed to be some big CEO? Can’t you mind your behavior?"

"I am not only a CEO but also your boyfriend, and I think my behavior is quite appropriate."

Yin Moran said calmly, leaning in slightly, "Qianqian, it was I who took you to the hospital. Don’t you want to ask how I knew about the wounds on your back?"

His tone was gentle but laced with a hint of seduction.

Clearly a question, yet in an instant, it made Lin Qian realize what he meant.

He was implying he’d seen every inch of her wounds.

In other words, he had already seen her in the buff!

Lin Qian’s face turned so red it looked like it could bleed, "Yin Moran, you, you, you... are so improper!"

"Me? Improper?"

Yin Moran’s dark eyes shimmered with laughter, "It seems to me the person who’s improper is you, Qianqian. I learned about the injuries on your back from the doctor. What did you think? That I had seen you stripped bare? Hmm?"

His enchanting tone dripped with teasing and enticement.

It was then that Lin Qian realized she’d been played by the man again.

"Yin Moran, why are you so childish! Out, get out now!"

She pushed him without restraint, and in her agitation, stepped directly on the ground, causing waves of pain.

"Hisss."

"Be careful."

Yin Moran suppressed the smile on his lips as his large hand firmly encircled her slim waist.

His gaze drifted downward, clearly seeing the view at the front of her chest.

In an instant, his body grew even hotter.

"Yin Moran..."

Taken advantage of again!

Lin Qian gritted her teeth and pinched the flesh of Yin Moran’s waist fiercely.

Yin Moran arched an eyebrow, feeling the force behind her twist.

She was truly angry and embarrassed!

Curving his lips into a smile, Yin Moran decided not to rile her up anymore.

"Sit tight, wash carefully, and mind the wounds."

If the teasing continued, he figured she might turn against him.

Withdrawing his hands from her waist, Yin Moran walked away without further ado.

As the door closed, Lin Qian touched her burning face and let out a long sigh.

That annoying man, always teasing her!

Outside, Yin Moran calmed down his inner restlessness and walked to the bedside, looking at the two peacefully sleeping children, a smile curling on his lips.

Though not a family by blood, the sight was inexplicably harmonious.

Does having a blood relationship even matter?

"Mr. Yin, I’ll be going now."

The caretaker was respectful, not expecting the boss to give her the night off.

Yin Moran nodded slightly, not saying much, bent down, and gently picked up one of the little ones from the bed to place them in the caretaker’s bed inside.

Then he returned and picked up the other child.

When Lin Qian finished her bath and came out, she saw Yin Moran standing at the bathroom door waiting for her.

Lin Qian bit her lip and looked around, "Where’s Mrs. Wang?"

"She’s gone home."

Gone home?

So, did he plan to stay the night here again?

Lin Qian felt uncomfortable, just wanting to keep her distance from him.

However, without a word, he scooped her up in a princess carry and brought her straight back to the bed.

He really did seem like a dutiful boyfriend.

Lin Qian wanted to cover her face.

It was only when she sat on the bed that she noticed the two little ones were gone.

"Zirui and Candy?"

"They’re in the other room."

Inside?

Did you sleep in the caregiver’s bed?

"Why won’t you let them sleep with me?"

"Aren’t you afraid they’ll crush your wounds?" Mr. Yin spoke indifferently.

"Then if they’re sleeping inside, where will you sleep?"

As the words fell, Lin Qian almost bit her own tongue.

Why did she care about this?

Was she really concerned about him as if he were her boyfriend?

"Qianqian, are you concerned about me?"

A trace of amusement flickered in Yin Moran’s dark eyes as he propped his hands on either side of the bed, his voice low and seductive, "Since that’s the case, how about sharing half of your bed with me?"

"Yin Moran!"

Here we go again!

This man, why does he always tease her when he gets the chance?

Lin Qian’s eyes held a hint of anger, her pretty face flushed pink from the recent bath, tempting someone to pinch it.

Yin Moran’s deep gaze darkened as he straightened up and sat down on the sofa.

"Just sleep well, don’t worry about me."

It was truly masochistic, it was himself who suffered when teasing others.

Yin Moran suppressed the restlessness in his heart and opened his laptop to begin working.

Watching the man return to his usual dignified self, Lin Qian pursed her lips and slowly lay down.

Her thoughts drifted, unsettled by Yin Moran’s actions.

What exactly did he want to do?

Did he really want her to be Candy’s mommy?

But their status was worlds apart, an impossibility to be together.

Besides, she had no intentions of marrying anyone.

How should she tactfully refuse him?

Hmm, it’s kind of annoying.

"Aren’t you sleeping yet? Lin Qian, do you have ADHD?"

The man’s voice floated from a distance. Lin Qian paused in the act of turning over and glanced at the man on the sofa. Seeing the corner of his mouth hooked, he gave her a quick look and continued to immerse himself in his work.

Was this man really working or keeping an eye on her?

Lin Qian puffed up her cheeks and pulled the blanket over her head, forcing herself to fall asleep.

The night was quiet, only the soft sounds of the keyboard tapping.

On the sofa, Yin Moran pinched the bridge of his tired brow, glanced at the woman who had fallen asleep on the sickbed, got up to dim the lights, and strode into the inner room to check on the two little ones’ sleeping postures, then returned to the sofa to close his eyes for a short rest.

That night, Lin Qian didn’t sleep well, her mind preoccupied with the two little ones.

She opened her eyes to find the ward utterly silent.

Looking around, her first sight was of Yin Moran napping on the sofa.

His arm rested on the armrest, supporting his head, the dim yellow light casting a hazy glow on him, like a sleeping prince waiting to be awakened.

Lin Qian curved her lips, a touch of softness flashing in her eyes.

She gently got out of bed, intending to check on the little ones.

Yet even this slight noise woke the lightly sleeping Yin Moran.

His gaze swept over, and he frowned on seeing Lin Qian getting out of bed again.

"Lin Qian, you really don’t listen, do you?"

Lin Qian: "..."

She had only injured one foot; getting out of bed should be fine, no need for such a fuss.

"No, I just want to check on Candy and Zirui."

Lin Qian watched as the man approached her quickly, and pointed inside, feeling inexplicably guilty.

Yin Moran stared at her face and scooped her up in his arms.

"Mr. Yin, I can walk on my own, or you can get me a crutch."

This is embarrassing, being carried around by him every day, isn’t it?

"You’re so noisy."

Yin Moran frowned, a look of impatience on his face.

"I..."

Lin Qian opened her mouth, only to be met with the cold stare from Yin Moran.

Had she offended him again?

Which of her words had offended him?
