Chapter 50: Chapter 50 Concern for Me

Yin Moran’s breathing faltered for a moment.

His temples throbbed, and the ink color in his dark eyes was as dense as an inkstone splashed with ink.

The tip of his nose was filled with the unique fragrance of a woman, and the soft touch of her lips still lingered on his own, yet her little hand remained placed where it shouldn’t be.

Lin Qian’s face was so red it looked like it could drip blood.

The touch beneath her hand made her instantly realize what had happened.

Oh my God!

This is so embarrassing!

Could she just disappear right now?

"Hey, hey, Lin, be careful, the floor is slippery!"

Nangong Li’s attractive peach blossom eyes were full of teasing laughter, "Well then, I’ll leave Old Yin to you. Qinglan, come with me and have a drink with some of my buddies."

He had watched enough of the show and had provided the opportunity he could.

With beauty by his side, someone better not act like Liu Xiahui!

Watching the woman with a flushed face sitting beside Yin Moran, Yin Qinglan’s eyes flickered slightly, and he eventually rose to his feet, nodded slightly to Lin Qian, and followed Nangong Li.

Only Lin Qian and Yin Moran were left on the couch in the corner.

Lin Qian calmed her heartbeat, secretly shifting a bit to the side to put some distance between her and someone.

Yin Moran, sensing her slight movement, couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle.

He lifted the glass to his mouth and poured the wine in, feeling as if a fire in his heart was burning fiercer.

The flickering light cast upon the man’s face, his sexy Adam’s apple rolling slightly, made him even more enchanting.

Lin Qian swallowed hard and quietly reminded, "Mr. Yin, drinking too much is bad for your health, why don’t I take you home early?"

Isn’t it super awkward sitting here?

If she sent him home early, she would have completed her task.

Yin Moran turned his head, and it was unclear if it was because of the alcohol, but his dark eyes shimmered with a captivating allure.

Such a seducer!

Lin Qian’s eyes sparkled, not daring to make eye contact.

"You care about me?"

The man’s low, seductive voice rose, carrying a hint of alcohol breath, brushing over her ear, causing her heart to tremble.

Lin Qian quickly rubbed her ears, only to realize that the man was incredibly close to her.

Her heart pounded fiercely, Lin Qian hunched her shoulders and darted her apricot eyes about, "You... you’re Candy’s dad, I’m worried Candy might be anxious."

A light laughter sounded as Yin Moran slowly sat up straight and finished the last sip of his drink.

He put the glass down, tossed the keys from the table at Lin Qian, and straightened his clothes as he stood.

Is he ready to go back?

Lin Qian hurriedly caught the keys and stood up.

Nangong Li, who had been keeping an eye on the two, saw this and walked over.

"Ready to head back? Lin, Old Yin has had too much, you better give him a hand."

Nangong Li put a bit of force behind his push, nudging Yin Moran closer to Lin Qian.

Yin Moran’s body swayed, and Lin Qian quickly steadied him.

Nangong Li snickered inwardly, "Lin, please take good care of Old Yin for me on the way home."

Take good care of him?

That phrase sounded so ambiguous.

Lin Qian didn’t have time to think further, firmly supporting Yin Moran’s tall figure, "Mr. Li, we’re heading off. That money for the clothes..."

She couldn’t forget the main business at hand.

"Oh right, Old Yin, remember to scan Lin’s WeChat later and help me cover for it, ha."

Nangong Li slapped his forehead, his smile broadening.

Did someone see that? He had helped him get Lin’s WeChat!

Yin Moran didn’t make a sound, just shot a glance at Nangong Li with a smirk on his face, and walked forward.

As the two left, Nangong Li chuckled softly, turned around, but found himself facing Yin Qinglan’s clear eyes.

"Li, it’s time for me to go too."

Yin Qinglan spoke softly, Mr. Li’s smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly resumed his roguish grin, "Alright, I’ll take you."

"No need, you stay with them."

Mr. Li didn’t say a word, just turned around and walked out.

Yin Qinglan opened his mouth, but in the end, he sighed and quickly followed.

Outside, Lin Qian assisted Yin Moran to the parking lot, found his car, and carefully helped him into the vehicle, wiping the sweat off her brow with a sigh of relief.

Hoo!

A man who has had too much to drink is really heavy.

She hurried to the driver’s seat, buckled up the seat belt, and started the car.

As the car drove along, Lin Qian glanced at the rearview mirror and saw the man in the backseat resting with his eyes closed.

The colorful lights streaming in from the car window cast a halo on his handsome face, giving him a mysterious and cold allure.

This man was truly good-looking.

Lin Qian curved the corners of her lips and focused on driving.

After crossing the better part of the city, she finally delivered the man safely home.

"Mr. Yin, we’re home."

Lin Qian unbuckled her seatbelt, got out of the car, and opened the rear door.

Yin Moran opened his eyes, rubbed his fatigued brow, and with a light step, got out of the car.

"Watch your step."

Seeing Yin Moran’s unsteady figure, Lin Qian, determined to see things through to the end, draped his arm over her shoulder and helped him walk toward the manor.

The quiet manor was so tranquil that one could hear each other’s breathing and heartbeat.

The tip of his nose filled with her subtle fragrance, Yin Moran suddenly felt his mind drifting and something restless stirring in his heart.

His gaze swept over her beautifully profiled face, and seeing her pursing her lips, struggling to support him, he curved his lips slightly and subconsciously shifted his center of gravity.

The butler standing guard in the distance saw Yin Moran being helped back by Lin Qian, hurriedly opened the villa’s grand doors to let them in, and then discreetly retreated to his own room.

Lin Qian helped Yin Moran to the sofa, straightened up, and wiped the sweat from her forehead, then turned and said, "Butler, could you..."

Eh, the butler was gone?

Lin Qian closed her mouth, her gaze shifting to the tipsy man on the sofa, tentatively asked, "Mr. Yin, are you alright now? Maybe you can settle Mr. Li’s clothes bill with me first?"

This way, she could also make her graceful exit.

"Make me a hangover soup."

Yin Moran’s black pupils were half-closed, his voice a slightly drunken rasp.

"Oh, alright, just wait a moment."

Lin Qian nodded, resigned to her fate, and went to the kitchen.

Behind her, Yin Moran’s slender fingers unbuttoned two buttons at the front of his shirt, leaning back on the sofa to continue resting.

When Lin Qian came out with the hangover soup ready, she saw Yin Moran asleep with his eyes closed.

The warm yellow light poured down from above, illuminating the man’s handsome face.

Quiet, peaceful.

Less cold, more of a childlike purity.

Still so handsome.

Lin Qian placed the hangover soup gently on the table, looked around, picked up his jacket and walked over to him, gently covering him with it.

Just then, Yin Moran suddenly opened his eyes.

Their eyes met, and Lin Qian’s heart trembled, instinctively stepping back.

But beneath her was a carpet; her foot caught and with a cry, she fell backward.

Yin Moran reached out quickly, his arm sweeping out, pulling her into his embrace.

Lin Qian, her heart still racing, realized she was lying on top of Yin Moran.

Looking up, she saw Yin Moran’s dark eyes fixed on her.

Deep and remote, they drew her in unconsciously.

"Mr. Yin... ah!"

Lin Qian felt the world spinning; before she could finish her sentence, she was pressed beneath him.
