Mr. Tycoon Is Actually the Father of My Child!
Chapter 41 He is Pursuing Her

Chapter 41: Chapter 41 He is Pursuing Her

After hearing Lin Hai’s words, Yin Moran’s dark eyes drifted uncertainly.

The stunning visage of Lin Qian flashed through his mind, a twinge of pity stirring in his heart.

That woman had been plotted against by her own biological father; forced to leave her hometown with her newborn child during what should have been one of the best times of her life. It was unimaginable how much pain she had endured.

Was Lin Hai really her biological father?

How could he be so cold-blooded?

Was it because Lin Qian had been held by the wrong person since childhood, raised in someone else’s family, that he felt no filial affection towards her?

Or perhaps it was due to gambling.

Once a person becomes addicted to gambling, they lose all sense of human morality in their eyes.

Yin Moran stood up, his tall figure looming as if a king had descended.

"Lin Hai, stop scheming against your daughter and quit gambling. If you want to settle down in Su City, I will arrange a peaceful job for you to retire in peace. But if you ever scheme against Lin Qian again..."

He left his sentence unfinished, but it carried a heavy threat.

Lin Hai hurriedly nodded and bowed to Yin Moran, "I understand, Mr. Yin, thank you for caring about my daughter. My daughter is beautiful and gentle; she will surely make a wonderful wife. You can rest assured, I will turn over a new leaf and never disgrace my daughter."

It seemed that this ruler of the Yin Family cared quite a lot about Lin Qian.

As long as Lin Qian could cling to this great support in the future, why would he worry about having no good days ahead or lack the capital to gamble?

Yin Moran glanced at Lin Hai and left without further delay.

Upon returning to the villa, the butler greeted him at the doorway.

"Is Candy asleep?"

Yin Moran took off his coat and handed it to the butler.

"She is already asleep. She fell asleep while video-calling Miss Lin, who was telling her a story."

The butler, smiling, responded to Yin Moran.

Yin Moran paused as he went upstairs, a smile forming at the corner of his lips.

Why did his daughter like Lin Qian so much?

Was this Lin Qian really the woman he had a fling with four years ago?

Gently pushing open the door to the children’s room, he tiptoed over to the bed, guided by the dim light.

The little one was sleeping soundly, her cheeks soft and pink.

Beside her lay her iPad.

Yin Moran picked it up and saw the completed video call with Lin Qian.

His sensuous lips curved slightly as he put the device away and tucked in his daughter a bit more, his eyes softening.

With such an adorable daughter, who really was her biological mother?

For his daughter’s sake, should he swallow his pride and reluctantly pursue someone?

...

The next day.

"Sweetie, we’re going to be late, let’s hurry."

"Mummy, I’m already at the door changing my shoes; you’re the one who needs to hurry."

Lin Zirui, carrying his small backpack, stood before the shoe cabinet changing shoes, shaking his head helplessly.

"Hehe, my baby is so fast. Just a moment, Mummy will be ready soon."

Lin Qian gave a dry laugh, tied her hair into a ponytail, revealing her pale slender neck.

Her son was such a relief.

"Alright, let’s go."

Lin Qian took Lin Zirui’s hand and left the house, hailing a taxi to head to school.

The kindergarten was a private one without direct bus access.

She considered whether to take out a loan to buy a car.

"Baby, Mummy has to inventory the shop tonight; I might come back late, so lock the doors and windows and don’t wait up for me."

"I understand."

Lin Zirui nodded, "Mummy, focus on your work. We have a security system installed at home, no one will hurt me. But you must be careful on your way back; keep the phone with you, okay?"

His thoughtful words comforted and amazed Lin Qian.

She rubbed his little head and kissed him, "Okay, truly my warm-hearted jacket."

"Mummy, why am I a jacket?"

"Because you’re a boy, so you’re a jacket. If we find your sister, then Mummy will have an extra little coat."

"Oh, is that so? Then Candy must be a sweet little cotton-padded jacket."

"Haha, yes, Candy is adorable. I wish she were my daughter."

"..."

The mother and son chatted idly, making the driver in front keep laughing.

When they arrived at the school gate, Lin Qian got out of the car, ready to send Zirui into school, when Candy’s cheerful voice sounded from behind.

"Mommy, brother."

Lin Qian turned around and saw Candy breaking free from Yin Moran’s hand and running towards her.

"Mommy, brother, good morning."

"Good morning, Candy. Did you sleep well last night?"

"Yes, thanks to the bedtime story Mommy told, Candy slept even better."

"Haha, really? If you want to hear more, auntie will tell them from now on."

"Then Candy wants to hear one every night."

"..."

Watching the harmonious figures of the two kids and one adult ahead, Yin Moran ambled behind them with his hands in his pockets, a softness flashing in his dark eyes.

"Candy, Zirui, good morning."

Ahead, the new class teacher greeted them with a smile.

"Good morning, teacher Su." The two kids said in unison.

The class teacher glanced up at Lin Qian and Yin Moran behind the kids, smiled, and bent down to pat the heads of the golden boy and jade girl, "You two really look like twins. Go inside."

He had heard about the previous incident.

These kids weren’t from the same family.

One was the esteemed little princess of the Yin Family, the other just a commoner’s child.

But nobody dared treat Zirui differently, for fear of losing their job due to Yin Moran’s protection.

The class teacher’s offhand compliment, however, stayed in Zirui’s mind.

He had heard such remarks more than once at school.

He and Candy looked so alike that he felt it necessary to verify if Candy really was his sister.

Having made up his mind, Zirui smiled and waved back at Lin Qian, pulling Candy, who had also greeted, towards their classroom.

After exchanging a few pleasantries with the teacher, Lin Qian prepared to go to work.

As she turned around, Yin Moran was standing behind her, his dark eyes intently staring at her, startling her and making her step back.

"Mr. Yin, you... you haven’t left yet."

Staring at her like that, she hadn’t offended him recently, had she?

Yin Moran silently replied, "Going to work? I’ll give you a ride."

Lin Qian: "..."

No way!

President Yin offering to drive her to work?

What madness was this?

"No need, I can take a taxi."

"Got extra money?"

"No."

"Then what are you waiting for? Get in the car."

Yin Moran paused, "Consider it a thanks for telling the bedtime story yesterday and helping Candy to sleep."

This woman really was dense!

Can’t she see?

He. Is. Pursuing. Her!

Called a blockhead in his mind, Lin Qian blinked. She was going to refuse, but seeing Yin Moran already striding to the car and holding the door open for her, she could hardly keep up the pretense, so she pursed her lips and quickly walked over.

"Thank you."

The sun must be rising in the west.

Someone was actually thanking her, instead of mocking her.

A conscience found!
