Four in the afternoon, perfect, maybe she would run into Wang Jianguo.

She rang the doorbell, and the door opened.

A seductive woman around thirty greeted her at the doorway.

She looked quite the part of a mistress.

Wang Jianguo, for all his age, certainly knew how to play.

Lin Qian inwardly sneered but maintained a professional smile, "Hello, I’m Lin Qian from the MXL counter, you must be Miss Sun? You are really beautiful."

"Ha, such sweet talk, come in."

Sun Li gave Lin Qian a look filled with a sense of superiority and sashayed into the living room.

Lin Qian looked around; the house was lavishly decorated – Wang Jianguo really didn’t hesitate to spend money on this woman.

And he was just a minor school director, how much could he earn in a year?

To claim he isn’t gathering some undue income would be fooling no one.

"Miss Sun, based on the description of your demeanor recorded in our store, I’ve brought five dresses for you to consider, to see if they catch your eye?"

Lin Qian began serving Sun Li.

Sun Li, looking at the dresses spread out by Lin Qian, wore a superior smirk.

"They seem nice, wait here, I’ll try them on."

"Alright."

Lin Qian respectfully handed Sun Li a dress and while she changed in the bedroom, Lin Qian quickly scoped the room.

No need for a meticulous search; a corner of the living room displayed a photo of Sun Li together with Wang Jianguo.

Lin Qian quickly snapped a photo with her phone and scanned the whole room layout with her phone.

"Hey, what do you think?"

The bedroom door opened, and Sun Li came out, Lin Qian swiftly put away her phone and regained her composure.

"Miss Sun, your skin is so fair, this fruit green dress really makes your complexion even whiter."

"Ha, you salespeople always have such sweet words to say."

Sun Li looked utterly pleased, "Alright, bring the other sets for me to try as well."

"Right away!"

Lin Qian handed her another set.

Just then, Sun Li’s phone rang.

Lin Qian glanced at the coffee table where the phone displayed the word "Husband" – it must be Wang Jianguo calling.

Was he coming?

"Husband, when are you coming back... not joining me for dinner... I’m not... seven it is then, I’ll wait for you to take me out for something delicious."

Sun Li’s coquettish voice filled the room, Lin Qian’s eyes slightly lit up, and the smile on her face deepened.

Fortune was indeed favoring her.

If she could capture photos of Wang Jianguo and Sun Li entering or leaving the apartment together, the evidence would be even stronger.

In the end, Sun Li picked three sets and told Lin Qian to take the remaining two back.

Once outside, Lin Qian’s smile faded.

She didn’t leave the neighborhood right away but found a secluded spot to sit and wait.

As night fell and the streetlights of the neighborhood turned on,

Cars came and went.

Lin Qian, sitting by some greenery and swatting at mosquitoes nearby, kept a vigilant eye on the road.

When a car stopped, and a person emerged, Lin Qian’s eyes brightened.

Wang Jianguo had appeared!

She quickly captured the moment with her phone.

That woman had mentioned over the phone that they would go out for a meal.

To get a photo of the two heading out together would be a complete success.

Lin Qian continued her vigil, quietly feeding the mosquitoes, waiting for the two to come down.

It wasn’t long before a man and a woman, arm in arm, walked out of the apartment building.

Lin Qian, revitalized, took several photos of them together.

Mission accomplished!

After Wang Jianguo’s car left, Lin Qian let out a heavy sigh and stood up to leave.

Once home, she would have her darling release this batch of photos.

Let’s see if Wang Jianguo could still stir up trouble after this.

Lin Qian left the neighborhood and called a ride-share vehicle, waiting by the roadside.

Just then, her phone rang, Lin Qian pulled it out and saw it was her son’s call, her eyes instantly filled with warmth.

"Baby, don’t worry, I’ll be home soon."

Her dear jacket, always worrying about her safety.

Lin Qian smiled sweetly, unaware of when a car had stopped beside her, the window rolled down to reveal a young, handsome face.

Dark eyes filled with deep surprise and affection silently watched the woman before him.

Lin Qian ended the call, catching sight of him out of the corner of her eye, her breath hitched, and her smile slightly stiffened.
