Mu Zixuan rolled her eyes dramatically, "Who asks for a gift like that? You make it sound like it’s been a decade or eight years since you last celebrated a birthday with gifts..."

She thought Pei Mojing would retort a couple sentences, but instead, he stared into her eyes for a moment and said with some amazement, "You actually got it right, I really haven’t celebrated a birthday for ten years..."

After his mother passed away, he didn’t know what it felt like to have a birthday anymore.

Mu Zixuan looked at him skeptically, "Really? Are you serious..."

Who knew, but Pei Mojing simply smiled faintly, "Get in the car first..."

"But... I really didn’t buy a gift," Mu Zixuan said, standing by the car door.

"Pei Mojing, I’m just celebrating your birthday for you as a friend who can’t be more ordinary..."

Pei Mojing’s hand paused while fastening the seatbelt, then he smiled brightly, "No matter as what, as long as you’re here, it’s all good..."

Mu Zixuan didn’t press the matter further and pointed forward, "Let’s go, time to pick out your gift..."

A streak of brightness suddenly flashed in Pei Mojing’s eyes, and the corners of his mouth curved up with pleasure. He then started the engine--

The two arrived at a shopping mall, where Mu Zixuan headed straight for the KITTY store while Pei Mojing put on his sunglasses and followed close behind her, looking every bit the part of a black-clad bodyguard.

They entered the store one after the other, and Mu Zixuan asked Pei Mojing, "Which one looks good?"

Pei Mojing smiled wryly. This girl, she really planned to give him a KITTY--

But then again, KITTY was good, just as cute as her.

"Sir, are these for the young lady? We have a few limited edition new models over here you could take a look at..." The beautiful sales associate smiled at the two, addressing Pei Mojing.

All of a sudden, Mu Zixuan covered her mouth and chuckled softly, "No... it’s for him, find the most adorably dumb, the cutest one..."

The sales associate paused for a second, but quickly recovered with a smile, "Ha ha, I didn’t realize sir and miss had such a good relationship..."

But Pei Mojing was smiling brilliantly, "I just love KITTY, just as adorable as her..."

The other two also stood up, grinning wickedly as they looked at Mu Zixuan and Pei Mojing.

"Hi~" Mu Zixuan waved and greeted everyone.

Pei Mojing took out a pair of brand-new slippers from the shoe cabinet, "Yours..."

The group said as they crowded around, intent on pulling out the KITTY from Pei Mojing’s arms to take a closer look.
