Mr. Mu Proposed Again Today -
Chapter 341 - 339: That Who_1
Chapter 341: Chapter 339: That Who_1
Mu Yingchen chuckled to himself, softening his voice as he looked at the fuming Su Wanxia, "I didn’t barge in; I knocked, but you didn’t hear."
Su Wanxia couldn’t help but be suspicious, really? She hadn’t heard any knocking, or had she been sleeping too soundly?
"Alright, get up quickly, let’s go to the lakeside together," Mu Yingchen took the opportunity to divert her thoughts.
As soon as Su Wanxia heard his words, she really stopped fixating on whether or not he had knocked, "You go out, I need to get dressed."
Mu Yingchen raised an eyebrow, blinked at her, and before Su Wanxia could unleash her lion’s roar, he nodded and walked towards the door.
Su Wanxia let out a frustrated breath, scared out of her wits early in the morning, she had thought a lusty wolf had entered her room.
After she got up and washed, she casually grabbed a steamed bun and followed the group towards the small pavilion by the lake.
Na Wa brought along paper, ink, and brushes, and once they arrived at the pavilion, she excitedly placed everything on the stone table, then looked at Mu Yingchen with eager eyes, "Brother Achen, come teach me how to write..."
Su Wanxia suddenly leaned in, taking the brush, "Here, little girl, Sister Xia will teach you."
Na Wa immediately looked displeased at her, "I don’t want you to teach me, I want Brother Achen to teach me..."
Su Wanxia heh’d, "I’m saying, little girl, there are so many people here, why must you have him teach you? He’s forgotten who he is himself, how would he remember how to write those characters? He’s lost his memory; have you forgotten that too?"
Na Wa, her face turning red from Su Wanxia’s words, stubbornly grabbed the brush from Su Wanxia’s hand, huffing, "Then I don’t want you to teach me either, the characters you write must be hideously ugly."
Su Wanxia wasn’t pleased with that remark, her writing ugly?
"Give me the brush, today Sister will show you what real brush writing is like," she reached out for the brush in Na Wa’s hand.
Na Wa stepped back, "No, if you want to write, find a brush yourself, here, I’ll lend you a sheet of paper."
Su Wanxia glared, furious, was this little girl deliberately making things difficult for her?
"Na Wa, give me the brush..."
"No..."
"I’ll just write one character for you to see."
"No..."
"Just let me use it, and I’ll let you hug Brother Achen’s arm..."
Her words shocked the other three, Mu Yingchen couldn’t believe his ears. Lately, she’d treated him as if he were her own possession, and if Na Wa so much as glanced at him one more time, she’d stand in front of Na Wa to block her view.
What happened today, to think she’d actually push him forward just to write a character—to think women could be so fickle!
Na Wa stared at Su Wanxia in amazement, then excitedly called out, "You said it..."
"Mhm, I said it," Su Wanxia nodded.
"Here, take it!" Na Wa handed the brush to Su Wanxia.
Su Wanxia took it, dipped the brush into some ink, then turned her eyes to Na Wa, who was running toward Mu Yingchen, and said leisurely, "Whoever... if you dare let that girl hug you, I’ll definitely throw you into the lake to feed the fish..."
Mu Yingchen laughed–
Na Wa was dumbstruck–
Na Ersi was stunned–
"Su Wanxia! You’re not keeping your word..." Na Wa turned around indignantly to stare at Su Wanxia, who was writing on the paper.
Su Wanxia elegantly held the brush, effortlessly and gracefully writing the character ’Su’ on the blank paper.
Then she looked up at the fuming Na Wa, "How am I not keeping my word? I agreed that you could hug him, so go ahead..."
"Then why did you tell Brother Achen you would throw him into the lake to feed the fish!"
"Hm? Did I say that to him?" Su Wanxia wondered.
"You’re the one who just said it!" Na Wa accused.
Su Wanxia then nodded in realization, "Oh...you mean just now..."
"Yes!" Na Wa nodded vigorously.
Su Wanxia chuckled, "Tsk! I was just commenting on the magpie in that tree who insisted on hugging the oriole, that’s all. You must have misunderstood..."
Mu Yingchen and Na Ersi shook with laughter, how could the simple and sweet Na Wa compete with the seasoned Su Wanxia?
"You..." Na Wa grimaced, glaring at Su Wanxia in frustration.
"What about me? I’ll give it back to you after I finish writing these characters..." Su Wanxia continued as she bent her head to write once more.
"Na Ersi, she’s bullying me again..." Na Wa turned to Na Ersi to air her grievances after enduring Su Wanxia’s taunting.
Na Ersi couldn’t help but chuckle, "We shouldn’t stoop to her level."
Su Wanxia pursed her lips, see how good he is at cheering a girl up.
After she finished writing a few characters, she slowly put down the brush, then picked up the sheet of paper and blew on it twice.
When the black ink was completely dry, she handed the paper to Mu Yingchen.
"Here, look, isn’t my writing beautiful..."
Mu Yingchen arched an eyebrow and reached out to take the paper, then held it before his eyes.
Before him were two neat lines of characters imprinted on the white sheet.
Su Wanxia.
Mu Yingchen.
The calligraphy was graceful and lively, impressive enough to stir the heart and startle the eye.
He couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows, her writing was indeed beautiful.
"How about it? Pretty, right?" Su Wanxia boasted about her work.
Mu Yingchen couldn’t resist nodding and then hummed in agreement.
As he stared at the six characters, the more he looked, the more furrowed his brow became, seeming to ponder the black on white before suddenly squinting his eyes.
What exactly was wrong?
Where had his feeling erred?
He held the paper facing the azure lake, lost in thought.
Watching him like this, Su Wanxia shrugged and turned her attention to Na Wa and Na Ersi.
By then, Na Ersi was teaching Na Wa how to write her own name with the brush.
"Like this... and then the strokes should be light..." Na Ersi held Na Wa’s hand, teaching her gently and with a serious face.
Su Wanxia chuckled lightly; in fact, those two were quite a match — it was just a matter of when Na Wa would realize it...
After Na Ersi had taught Na Wa to write her name on the pristine paper, she joyfully picked up the sheet and then ran to Mu Yingchen, "Brother Achen, look, Na Ersi taught me to write this..."
Mu Yingchen was staring absent-mindedly at the names Su Wanxia had written when Na Wa suddenly put the paper with her name right in front of him.
All of a sudden, the reservedly written name ’Na Wa’ barged into his field of vision...
His heart skipped a beat, Na Wa?
