Chapter 335: Chapter 333 She is the One

She looked herself over in the mirror again and again, appearing quite novel and splendid, but there was still an odd feeling of discomfort in her heart. After all, transitioning so abruptly to an ethnic style required a short period of adaptation.

"Wanxia... are you ready?" Na Ersi’s voice came from outside.

Su Wanxia responded and then ran out. The embroidered shoes were quite comfortable, providing a very steady walk.

When Na Ersi saw her rushing out, he couldn’t help teasing her, "You’re dressed in these clothes; you really look like a genuine member of a minority nationality."

"Heh, really? I still feel a bit uncomfortable, though," Su Wanxia chuckled drily.

"You’ll get used to it after a while."

"Mm, let’s go."

However, when Na Ersi took her to the headman’s house, Na Wa was strangely absent.

Na Ersi found a young man to inquire, "Where is the young lady?"

The young man chuckled, "This morning, the young lady took that newly awakened man out. They said they were going to the lakeside pavilion to see the cherry blossoms..."

Na Ersi raised an eyebrow while Su Wanxia stood frozen on the spot, her heart beginning to race wildly. He was finally awake.

She was too excited for words, not even thinking to question why Mu Yingchen, upon awakening, hadn’t come to find her but instead went with that young girl to the lakeside pavilion to see cherry blossoms.

"Na Ersi, where is the lakeside pavilion? Let’s hurry over," she stated.

Without giving it much thought, Na Ersi nodded to her and then led her off to find Mu Yingchen.

Today’s weather was extraordinarily clear, especially the sky in the mountains, which was as blue as the sea, endless.

Na Ersi led her across a stone bridge and then onto a path that was neither too wide nor too narrow. On both sides of the path, green grass was growing, and colorful flowers occasionally dotted the meadow, adding dots of beauty, like a beautiful painting.

Su Wanxia had no time to admire the beautiful scenery on either side of the road. She kept looking forward, hoping to see that familiar figure appear in her sight immediately.

Gradually, the scent of flowers drifted to her nostrils, intoxicating. Soon, a vast expanse of pink clouds appeared before her eyes. Su Wanxia was finally distracted by the exuberant cherry blossoms, and she couldn’t help but marvel at the enchanting scenery...

Having passed through this cloud of color, she soon saw a large lake. Between the cherry blossoms and the lake shore, there was an Octagonal Stone Pavilion. On one side of the pavilion was a wooden walkway about a meter wide, and on the other was the expansive lake, indescribably classic and elegant. This scene gave Su Wanxia a sense of traveling through time and space.

This must be called a modern paradise...

Her gaze inevitably fell upon the tall, dark figure in the pavilion. Although Mu Yingchen had his hands behind his back and was facing away from Su Wanxia, she recognized him at a glance. That was her Achen...

Her eyes brimmed with excitement, and her heart flooded with joy. Suddenly, like a gust of wind, she ran towards that figure with full passion.

"Achen..." Her steps halted on the wooden planks leading to the pavilion, her voice trembling as she called out to the figure that was now so close.

She clearly saw the figure pause for a moment, then slowly turn around...

The handsome and exquisite face, the slightly furrowed brows, the eyes dark as obsidian, as well as the tall nose and thin, emotionless lips. Even though he was dressed in ethnic attire, it couldn’t hide the aristocratic air that was etched into his bones, his usual noble elegance, usual indifferent iciness.

It was her Achen, truly her Achen, but somehow, Su Wanxia felt something was different. The man standing before her was undeniably the one she knew, so why did she feel something was amiss?

Mu Yingchen’s brows were slightly furrowed as he gazed steadily at Su Wanxia, his expression calm and unwavering. Yet, the instant he turned and saw her, for reasons unknown, his heart seemed to wrench fiercely.

Su Wanxia suddenly widened her eyes in shock—she knew, she knew what was wrong, it was his gaze, the way he looked at her!

So calm and undisturbed, so distant and unfamiliar...

She could hardly believe the thoughts in her heart as her pupils dilated and she stared motionlessly at Mu Yingchen standing in the Octagonal Stone Pavilion.

Na Wawa turned around when she heard the noise and, seeing Su Wanxia standing outside of the stone pavilion with Na Ersi behind her, couldn’t help but smile smugly at her, "I am here enjoying the view with my fiancé, what are you doing here?"

Su Wanxia’s eyes immediately narrowed...

And the very first thing Mu Yingchen said suddenly confirmed the uneasy thoughts in her heart.

"Who is she?" Mu Yingchen furrowed his brows in confusion as he looked at Su Wanxia, but his question was directed at Na Wawa beside him.

Na Wawa let out a heh-heh laugh, "Her? She’s the fiancée of that man..." she said, stretching out her hand and pointing at Na Ersi, who was standing behind Su Wanxia.

Her words instantly stunned everyone present.

Mu Yingchen felt as if something had pricked his heart, but he didn’t delve any deeper into it.

Na Ersi couldn’t help but give a bitter smile deep down, this little girl had gone too far this time... he’d make a note of this account and settle it later!

As for Su Wanxia, she had been frozen in place by Mu Yingchen’s question of who she was, as if a bolt of thunder had exploded in her mind, shocking her so deeply that she struggled to regain her senses for a long time.

Yet, Na Wawa’s words instantly snapped her back to reality!

This young girl knew nothing, yet she was messing up the matchmaking...

Taking a deep breath, Su Wanxia then took stiff steps towards Mu Yingchen.

Na Wawa immediately panicked, blocking Mu Yingchen protectively like a hawk shielding its chick, "What are you going to do? You can’t lay a finger on my fiancé!"

She was genuinely afraid that Su Wanxia would come over and start pulling and hugging and kissing Mu Yingchen without saying a word.

Su Wanxia looked at Mu Yingchen despairingly, then spoke softly, "Do you really not remember who I am?"

A troubled expression appeared in Mu Yingchen’s eyes. He didn’t remember who she was, but he couldn’t bring himself to say it. So instead, he silently shook his head at the despondent Su Wanxia.

Su Wanxia felt a sharp pain in her heart, as if her chest had cracked open, achingly excruciating.

Could it be that he truly didn’t remember her?

Disbelieving, she shook her head and stumbled back two steps, her eyes filled with endless desolation and sorrow.

"Then do you know who she is?" she asked weakly, lifting her hand to point at Na Wawa by her side.

Mu Yingchen turned to look at the adorable young girl beside him, then said to Su Wanxia, "She is Wanwan..."

Su Wanxia felt her heart plummet at his words, and with a sense of defeat, she closed her eyes. She thought she understood why Mu Yingchen didn’t remember her...

Because when he woke up, she wasn’t by his side. The one he saw upon awakening was Na Wawa. The coincidence was uncanny, but Na Wawa wasn’t his Wanwan... she was...
