Chapter 210: Chapter 210 This is a Secret_1

Shanshan hadn’t expected her explosively handsome daddy to suddenly pick her up, and she opened her mouth in delighted surprise before smiling broadly and wrapping her little hands around his neck.

She silently exclaimed to herself: Having a daddy feels so good...

Mu Yingchen carried her out the door and then began to ask casually.

"What are your grandparents’ names? I’ll have someone make an announcement..."

This was something Shanshan truly didn’t know; she really had no idea what her grandparents were called, and her little face immediately took on a worried expression.

Mu Yingchen couldn’t help but chuckle, "You don’t know?" She was so smart, and yet she didn’t know her own grandparents’ names? That was a bit unexpected for him.

Shanshan pouted her little mouth and said in a babyish voice, "Grandpa and Grandma never told me their names..."

She blinked her innocent large eyes, looking at Mu Yingchen, who seemed skeptical. She was telling the truth; she really didn’t know.

"Then what’s your name?" Mu Yingchen asked.

She didn’t know her grandparents’ names, but they surely knew hers, and they must be anxiously searching for her right now.

Shanshan’s eyes, clear-cut in black and white, hesitated slightly before she sweetly said, "My name is Shanshan..."

She was telling him her nickname, not her given name; that shouldn’t be a problem, should it--

"Shanshan..." Mu Yingchen repeated aloud.

"Mhm."

"Okay then, let’s head to the broadcast room--" Mu Yingchen spoke and carried her towards downstairs.

They had barely taken a few steps when the music playing on the broadcast suddenly stopped, and a customer service announcement in standard Mandarin came through: Little friend Shanshan, please pay attention! Little friend Shanshan, please pay attention! Your family is looking for you, please come to the first-floor service desk immediately upon hearing this announcement!

Mu Yingchen stopped in his tracks and looked down at the little girl in his arms with a light chuckle.

The announcement repeated three times, and Shanshan listened intently all three times. She thought, Uncle must be really anxious to find her, otherwise he definitely wouldn’t have used the broadcast to do so.

"Let’s go, to the first-floor service desk..." Mu Yingchen said as he was about to walk down with her.

Suddenly, Shanshan called out, "Handsome Uncle, I know where the service desk is, I can go there by myself..."

"You know?" Mu Yingchen was somewhat skeptical, she knew where the service desk was?

Shanshan nodded: "Mhm, I know--" Her memory was exceptionally good, and besides, she had a habit of remembering every significant thing about any place she visited to make it easier for her to escape.

Plus, in Canada, she had seen many kids about her own size shopping by themselves at the supermarket...

She thought it was all perfectly normal--

The two stood there, staring blankly at one another when Mu Chuyang ran over with her little backpack.

"Bro, what are you doing standing around here---"

Hearing Mu Chuyang ask this, Mu Yingchen somewhat reluctantly placed Shanshan down on the ground.

Once Shanshan’s feet touched the floor, she immediately smiled and squinted at Mu Chuyang, "Uncle, you’re so handsome---"

Instantly, Mu Chuyang felt as though small flowers were blossoming in his heart—everyone says children don’t tell lies, and her compliment made him exceedingly happy. He couldn’t help it; he loved being called handsome!

"Little friend... you really know how to speak sweetly—Uncle is so delighted..."

Shanshan giggled, "Thank you, Uncle, for helping me carry my backpack--" which meant, it was time for him to return her backpack.

The smile on Mu Chuyang’s face stiffened slightly; the little rascal was after her backpack after all.

He bent down, reached out, and gently pinched her chubby little face: "Clever little imp..."

"Here, let me put it on for you---"

"Thanks, Uncle--"

"You’re really sweet-tongued--"

With her backpack on, Shanshan turned around and looked up at Mu Yingchen with her little head held high and sweetly said, "Uncle, I have something to tell you---"

Mu Yingchen raised an eyebrow, wondering what this little one wanted to say to him now.

Feeling helpless, he could only squat down to look into her spirited, lively eyes.

"Uncle, you can’t forget about me—" Shanshan pouted, a hint of grievance in her voice.

Mu Yingchen’s heart softened, and he nodded with a slight smile.

"Alright, your name is Shanshan..."

Upon receiving Mu Yingchen’s affirmation, Shanshan immediately beamed with joy. She then unexpectedly planted a kiss on Mu Yingchen’s handsome face.

"Then I’m off~~"

Mu Yingchen was genuinely startled by her actions, and then, regaining his composure, he looked at her adorable face, a flicker of emotion passing through his heart.

"Hmm—" he nodded.

"What about me, what about me—" Mu Chuyang also came over and squatted down, raising his hand to point at his own handsome face.

But Shanshan just giggled, "Nope, your girlfriend will get jealous~~"

Mu Chuyang was flabbergasted, "Hey, you little rascal, you even know what a girlfriend is?"

Shanshan gave him a look that said, of course.

"Then how do you know I have a girlfriend and he doesn’t?" Mu Chuyang raised his hand to point at Mu Yingchen.

"You’re so handsome, you must have a girlfriend..." This comment made Mu Chuyang laugh gleefully.

However, Mu Yingchen inexplicably furrowed his brows, suddenly questioning his own charm. Wasn’t he handsome enough?

Even a little kid could tell he didn’t have a girlfriend?

After Mu Chuyang had laughed heartily for a bit, he then asked with a mix of laughter and chagrin, "So how do you know he doesn’t have a girlfriend, is it because I am much handsomer than he is?"

Shanshan blinked, the picture of innocence.

"I think he’s much handsomer than you—"

Mu Yingchen felt a surge of relief—

But now Mu Chuyang couldn’t manage to laugh anymore; what was this child up to? Lifting him to the sky first, just to let him crash down hard.

"Then how do you know he doesn’t have a girlfriend?" Mu Chuyang couldn’t understand how she had decided his brother was girlfriendless.

Shanshan grinned mischievously, leaning in to whisper in his ear, "That’s a secret..."

Mu Chuyang snorted immediately; he thought she was going to share something substantial, yet she was just teasing him on purpose, this little rascal...

The announcement came on again, and Shanshan, glancing at the two of them, had to wave her little hand and say goodbye.

"Are you sure we don’t need to take you to the information desk?" Mu Chuyang asked skeptically.

Shanshan confidently patted her chest, "No need, I can find it—"

"Alright then—"

"Goodbye, Uncle—"

Mu Yingchen also raised his hand and waved at her.

Shanshan giggled and turned to step onto the elevator.

Standing on the top floor, they could see the elevators on every level below; Mu Yingchen found an optimal angle to watch that small figure descending floor by floor, his heart unexpectedly touched by a trace of tenderness.

"Bro, no idea whose kid that is, but she’s really clever—" Mu Chuyang couldn’t help but admire.

Mu Yingchen nodded, indeed very clever, very adorable.

If only he had a child as smart and cute as her, how wonderful that would be...
