Mr. Mu Proposed Again Today -
Chapter 147 I Miss You_1
Chapter 147: Chapter 147 I Miss You_1
At the airport, Jesse stared at Su Wanxia for a long time without speaking, his gaze as if he wanted to permanently etch her image into his memory.
Then he gently reached out and gave her a farewell hug, "Summer, be happy."
Su Wanxia’s heart tasted a trace of bitterness, and then she nodded, "Yeah."
"Don’t forget me once you’re back in the country." Jesse let go of her, childishly instructing.
Su Wanxia couldn’t help but laugh, "Okay, I won’t."
"Alright, go on then."
"Goodbye!"
"Goodbye!"
Su Wanxia gave Jesse another smile and then turned to walk toward Mu Chuyang, who wasn’t far away.
Jesse stood in place, watching her retreating figure, his brows slightly furrowed, a lost look in his eyes.
Would she be married with children the next time they met? Never mind, watching her be happy was a kind of happiness in itself.
When the airplane left the ground and slowly ascended, an indescribable feeling surfaced in her heart.
This was truly a return to her home country; she might never come back to live in this beautiful city. Over the years, she had experienced many things and felt too much. Life really had so many unpredictable events, just like when she first came to England, she had never imagined that one day in the future she would be with him again.
Was fate starting to look favorably upon her?
When the airplane landed once more, her heart tensed and excited for a moment; it had been twenty days since she last saw him. The thought of seeing him soon made her suddenly feel a bit shy.
"Ah, finally home~~" Mu Chuyang said emotionally as they disembarked.
Su Wanxia glanced at him helplessly and walked ahead.
"Hey, wait for me, why are you in such a hurry? Are you that eager to see my brother?" Mu Chuyang followed behind Su Wanxia, talking incessantly.
She twitched her mouth, too lazy to bother with him and kept walking.
From afar, she spotted the tall figure clad in a black coat amid the flow of people.
Mu Yingchen saw her the moment she appeared and immediately stepped toward her.
Her heart couldn’t help but start to race; she suddenly despised herself from the bottom of her heart. Wasn’t it just half a month apart? Did she really need to be so weak as to have her heart jump relentlessly upon seeing him?
As the figure drew closer, she slightly curved her lips into a smile.
Having not seen him for so long, she still missed him deeply--
Mu Yingchen wrapped her in his arms, tightly, and whispered into her ear, "I’ve missed you a lot."
Hearing those words, Su Wanxia’s heart felt as sweet as if it had been coated with honey.
"I’ve missed you too."
Mu Yingchen’s arms around her tightened once more; being able to hear her say those words made the twenty days seem worth enduring.
She didn’t know, for him, her absence was like years, not just twenty days. He felt it was a long and lonely twenty years.
"Will you two ever be done? This is a public place; a little restraint is enough." Mu Chuyang could no longer withstand the odd glances of so many people around them and softly reminded them.
Su Wanxia then realized and, with an embarrassed face, pushed Mu Yingchen away.
Mu Yingchen, on the other hand, didn’t mind at all. Let others look if they wanted; what did it have to do with him?
After all, he was embracing his own woman; what did it have to do with them?
Seeing her embarrassed look, he decided not to push her further; there would be plenty of time to hold her once they got home.
Su Wanxia, however, was unaware of Mu Yingchen’s thoughts at that moment and pulled him towards the exit.
She had intended to go home first, but Mu Yingchen drove her straight to his villa instead and coolly said, "This is your home too."
She was at a loss for words and obediently followed him into the villa.
As soon as they reached the living room, Mu Yingchen began a barrage of questioning, his face showing a considerable degree of displeasure.
"Why do you always not answer my calls?"
Su Wanxia laughed dryly, "Hehe, because I was too busy during that time, so—"
"Then why didn’t you call me back when you saw my calls?" Mu Yingchen interrogated her like a child who had done something wrong, his handsome face stern.
"I did respond, didn’t I?"
"You responded with a text!" His expression soured further; she never picked up his calls, and what was worse, she didn’t even bother to return his calls when she saw them, merely dismissing him with a text message. It was enough to make him grind his teeth with irritation.
"I was worried you were resting, I didn’t want to wake you up," Su Wanxia defended herself.
"Is that so?" Mu Yingchen asked, eyebrow raised with skepticism.
"Exactly," she nodded emphatically, partly because that was the reason, and partly because she was afraid he’d rush her too.
If Mu Chuyang was urging her daily, she’d never get back if Yingchen did as well.
Hearing her resolute tone, Mu Yingchen’s expression finally softened a bit.
Then he leaned in close, his lips curling into a suggestive smile, "When you weren’t here, I hardly slept at night."
Su Wanxia deliberately ignored the implied depth of his words and hummed in response, "It’s not that I won’t come back. What is there to worry about?"
A glimmer of light passed through Mu Yingchen’s obsidian-like eyes as he spoke in a mischievous tone, "Don’t misconstrue my words, I know you understand."
Su Wanxia’s cheeks turned red. Didn’t he understand the principle of knowing something yet not pointing it out? This man, really!
The smile on Mu Yingchen’s lips deepened, and suddenly he stood, scooping her up from the couch, "Now, you need to help me catch up on sleep."
Su Wanxia tensed up immediately. Catch up on sleep, my foot!
"Um, I slept enough on the plane, no need to catch up, hehe."
Mu Yingchen looked down, "Really? In that case, we can find other interesting things to do."
Su Wanxia was speechless. She did not want to do any ’interesting things,’ thank you very much.
"I feel like my stomach hurts, like my period is coming," she said, pulling a face of agony as if her period was indeed about to begin.
"Hmm? Isn’t your period due a few days from now?" Mu Yingchen raised an eyebrow.
"How do you remember that?" Su Wanxia exclaimed. How could he know when her period was due?
Mu Yingchen smirked, "After last time, I’ve remembered."
Su Wanxia nearly burst into tears. Why on earth did he bother to remember her menstrual cycle? Oh my God! She wished she could bash her head with a block of tofu. Being caught in a lie was just so embarrassing.
"But really, I feel like it might be starting early, maybe?" Su Wanxia continued her desperate struggle.
"Is that so? I’ll check later," Mu Yingchen said nonchalantly, uttering words that made Su Wanxia anything but calm.
Let him check?
Her cheeks flushed as she mentally cursed Mu Yingchen for being shameless. Didn’t he realize he could already be branded a pervert, the kind to scare off countless young women?
