Chapter 159: 156, Nathan, your sister is back (4000+) _3
Watching Olivia Zane round off her explanation, Lily didn’t want to expose her, always keeping a smile at the corners of her mouth, drawing a pretty curve.
Suddenly, she thought that to live in a world of self-deception must be so pitiful.
Ariana Evans glanced at Titus Zane, then looked back at Olivia Zane.
"Always flying around, I’m used to it now, what jet lag? You don’t want me getting upset with you, so why not just have him come over for a meal? It’s not like doing any physical labor."
Ariana was already reaching for the phone as she spoke, but Olivia Zane stopped her.
"Mom, let me call him myself, otherwise Nathan will be angry."
"Alright, you call." Ariana put the phone down, then turned to Titus, "Titus, you chat with Lily for a bit. I’ll go help in the kitchen - my daughter is home, and I need to personally cook a few dishes to feel at ease."
Titus was touched, "Mom, go ahead, I’ll take care of Lily."
Titus stood up, pushing Olivia Zane toward the landline, casually asking.
"Have you been living at home all this time?"
Olivia Zane’s hands on the handles tightened slightly, a flicker of panic in her eyes, but she concealed it well.
Smiling, she said, "Yes, ever since you left, I moved back home. Nathan often travels for work, and with such a big house, it’s kind of lonely without anyone to talk to."
Titus chuckled and did not reply, delivering Olivia Zane to the landline before returning to sit on the sofa.
He didn’t want to give Olivia Zane any reason to suspect eavesdropping.
Olivia Zane picked up the landline and dialed Nathan Moore’s number.
"...Nathan, have you adjusted to the time difference yet?"
Nathan Moore furrowed his brow, glanced at his mobile phone to confirm the number was from the Zane Family’s landline, then brought it back to his ear.
He heard Olivia Zane continue, "Sister’s back, mom said let’s have a family dinner, have a family reunion."
Nathan Moore was about to refuse, but hearing "family reunion," he happily agreed, "Okay."
"Then you should hurry over, mom’s already cooking, be careful on your way..."
After hanging up, Olivia Zane turned her wheelchair around, and Titus stood up to push her to the coffee table.
Just as she sat back on the sofa, Olivia Zane sighed, looking at her knees in complaint, "Ah, Nathan, he never gives one peace of mind, always needing me to remind him of this and that, despite being a grown man."
Titus at first didn’t want to expose her, but Olivia Zane’s roundabout tactics were truly repellent.
Pretending to grumble about Nathan Moore in front of her, wasn’t it just to prove to Titus that Nathan Moore’s heart belonged only to her, and he couldn’t live without her!
Laughing lightly, her full lips curved into a pretty arc, and her European-style eyes held a charm.
"If you’re so worried, you should go back, leaving a man alone at home, of course, is not as careful as a woman."
Olivia Zane raised her eyes, her expression briefly stiffened, then she scrunched her nose and said fiercely, "Hmph, I won’t go back, who let him treat you like that back then!"
Titus suddenly found it amusing, the curve of her lips held a hint of sarcasm as she looked at Olivia Zane.
It seemed that when Nathan Moore treated her cruelly back then, this little sister played a significant role, didn’t she?
However, she didn’t want to revisit the past, just as she and Nathan Moore agreed, henceforth they owed each other nothing.
She caused the woman he loved most to become paralyzed, and he made her separate from her childhood sweetheart, thus, they were even.
The meal hadn’t started yet, and Nathan Moore had already arrived.
He was dressed casually, a smoke-grey V-neck T-shirt with dark casual pants, a jacket on top, and sports shoes on his feet.
His usually meticulously groomed hair was not deliberately combed and fell naturally over his forehead, shedding his usually cold and stern air and adding a touch of nonchalance.
Titus used to see him dressed like this often; after showering every night, he would visit her room in casual wear, seldom in pajamas.
When Nathan Moore appeared at the door, Titus did not greet him, her gaze falling, long lashes veiling certain emotions in her eyes.
"Nathan, mom asked you to come home for a meal, why are you dressed so casually?"
Olivia Zane wheeled over, her knitted brows revealing her displeasure.
Nathan Moore casually curved his lips, "It’s precisely because it’s a family gathering that I’m dressed so comfortably."
Olivia Zane did not continue to grumble and was wheeled back to the hall by Nathan Moore, glancing at Titus deep in thought with her gaze lowered, then she turned to look at Nathan Moore.
"Nathan, Sister’s back."
"Hmm, I know." His brief three-word response left Olivia Zane stunned.
"You know? Have you seen her already?"
Titus’s eyes lifted, her hands by her sides instinctively tensing as she looked directly at Nathan Moore.
