Chapter 133: 133, My woman was frightened, so I, Mo, will take my leave first.
Although she does not understand the ways of business, Lucy still grasped this simple principle.
Grateful, Mr. Tang looked at Nathan with an apologetic smile and said, "I’m sorry, Director Moore, for making you see our jest, it’s just my wife loves me too much."
"Mm, a woman who loves you this much should be cherished, Mr. Tang," Nathan said lazily, his words carrying deeper meaning as he glanced at Tang.
Then, he walked back to his seat with Titus Zane, while the two companions reluctantly shifted aside. Though they said nothing, their faces clearly expressed dissatisfaction.
There’s no helping it; a too-perfect woman always attracts jealousy from the same sex.
Just like Titus Zane at the moment, tall and shapely.
As for her face, it was so fair it was nearly transparent, and her features were also exquisitely beautiful, especially those seductive eyes, deeply set and captivating in a distinctly European style.
And those long eyelashes, like two small brushes, made people’s hearts itch with each blink.
Any woman would be moved, let alone a man.
"Wife, why don’t you sit down with us?" Mr. Tang gave himself an out, and the other men chimed in.
"Since Sister-in-law is here, let’s all have fun together." Lucy sat down on the couch at her husband’s prompting, but just as she settled, Nathan stood up with Titus Zane.
He nodded slightly to the men as a gesture of apology.
"Sorry, my woman got scared, so I must leave first," he said.
After speaking, without giving others a chance to react, he walked out of the private room with Titus Zane.
"Wait, my purse!" Titus Zane turned back anxiously, and Nathan gestured to Ewan, who understood and quickly grabbed Titus Zane’s elegant handbag before following them out.
"Director Moore, take care!" Mr. Tang said politely as he stood up, stretching his neck to shout, "Please apologize to the youngest sister-in-law for me."
With the tigress around, Tang was eager for Nathan to leave with the enchanting Titus Zane, who if exposed, could suffer the wrath of his own fierce wife.
The other men, though they politely stood up to say their farewells as Nathan left with Titus Zane, sat back down in shock, looking at each other, amazed at how naturally Director Moore acted—it was almost believable that the enchantress was his lady.
Once out of the private room, Titus Zane quickly freed her arm from Nathan’s, as he had been loosely holding it anyway.
Retrieving her bag from Ewan and confidently striding ahead, Titus Zane, in her high heels and swan-like neck, moved past Nathan with a swing of her waist, without a word of thanks, and without looking back, she waved her hand behind her.
"Goodbye." Watching Titus Zane’s enticing figure disappear into the elevator, Nathan stood still, his eyes slightly squinted, masking the emotions behind them.
"Director Moore, your wife, uh no!" As he saw Titus Zane’s figure vanish behind the closing elevator doors and noticed his boss staring fixedly, Ewan slipped up his usual address, quickly slapped his own mouth, and then looked to Nathan for guidance.
"Aren’t we going to send Ms. Zane home?"
Nathan looked at him, said nothing, and directly strode towards another elevator, with Ewan quickly following.
Outside the club, Titus Zane stood alone on the street waiting for a car.
This was a high-end private club frequented only by the rich and powerful, so taxis were rare here.
