Gu Lili responded and had just taken a couple of steps when she specifically instructed, "When he returns, don’t go out of your way to tell him I was here."

The secretary smiled faintly, "Okay."

Gu Lili went into the office and headed for Long Yubei’s rest room.

She closed the door, lay on the bed in the rest room, and set an alarm for a quick nap.

Once on the bed, Gu Lili could easily fall asleep.

An hour quickly passed, she got up, turned off the alarm on her phone, sat on the bed still slightly dazed, then heard Long Yubei speaking with his subordinates.

He was back.

Gu Lili quietly slipped on her shoes and tiptoed to the door.

Holding the door handle, she carefully controlled the force, creating a slight gap.

Peering through, she saw Long Yubei sitting at his desk with a young man and woman opposite him.

They were discussing work.

Gu Lili planned to wait until the staff left before going out, but unexpectedly, after a few minutes, the discussion finished, the male staff left but the female staff didn’t.

Long Yubei, in a white shirt with his sleeves rolled up showing his wheat-colored arms, looked up at the female staff with a pen in hand and asked, "Is there anything else?"

"President Long, today is my birthday, I’ve invited colleagues, will you join us?"

"Happy birthday, you guys go ahead, I won’t be joining." His voice was bland, showing no emotion.

The female employee looked somewhat disappointed, "President Long, actually, everyone wants you to come, couldn’t you stay for just ten minutes?"

"My wife has returned from overseas, I need to finish my work and then head home, I really don’t have time."

That comment left the female employee at a loss for words.

Inside, Gu Lili felt as if she was coated with a layer of honey, overwhelmingly sweet; she couldn’t help but smile, her eyes shining as she looked at him.

"Well, then I’ll head out."

"Mm."

As the female employee left, Long Yubei set down his pen and stood up.

He grabbed his suit jacket, putting it on as he walked, and left through the door.

Gu Lili quickly followed him, catching up just as Long Yubei reached the secretary area, she suddenly hugged him from behind.

Giving him a surprise attack.

"Husband!"

Hearing her voice, Long Yubei turned around, "You’re in my office?"

"Yoohoo, you got it, how unexpected, right?"

"Very surprising." Long Yubei naturally took her hand, "I was just heading home."

"Don’t go home, let’s go shopping, I want to buy something."

"Okay."

As they entered the elevator, he asked, "When did you arrive?"

"An hour ago, I slept for a bit in your resting room. I asked the secretary not to tell you. Just now, I saw your female staff inviting you warmly."

"Did you also see my refusal?"

"Of course." She tiptoed and wrapped her arms around his neck, closed her eyes and kissed him. She intended to keep it brief, but he pinned her there, prolonging the kiss.

"There’s a camera in the elevator, that’s enough." She pushed him away as the elevator door opened.

Long Yubei held her as they walked, ignoring the frequent glances from the staff.

"There’s something I want to tell you."

"What is it?"

"Before coming to your company, I made a trip to the Gu Family..."

She started and couldn’t stop, with too much to tell him, from the matter of the 30 million at the Gu Family to returning to WT, she shared everything in great detail.
