Chapter 472: Chapter 472: The BOSS is Showing Off Again (3)
When Lu Wanwan woke up, she was still in his arms, held tightly.
Her hand was still clutched in his five fingers, no wonder her finger bones were so sore.
She stretched out her hand to check the time and pushed him, "Get up, you should be going to the company now."
Gu Annan had slept very soundly today, by this time he would usually have left.
"I’m not going." His arm tightened a bit more, his head buried in the crook of her neck, his breath continuously puffing on her ear.
"Not going?" She withdrew her fingers, wondering if he was talking in his sleep or really not going.
Lu Wanwan turned around, his long arm still not releasing her.
"You’re not sick, are you?" Lu Wanwan felt his behavior was abnormal and touched his forehead.
No fever.
Gu Annan opened his eyes, and she saw the fatigue in his eyes and the dark circles under them, "Didn’t you sleep last night?"
"Don’t talk." He said softly, his eyes shutting again.
Lu Wanwan was certain they hadn’t been up all night yesterday, and she was also sure she wouldn’t have been able to sleep through it all.
So what was he doing up all night?
"Did you last night have any..." She saw him with his eyes closed, her sentence still unfinished before she stopped herself.
Forget it, there was really no need to ask such a question.
Perhaps she was just dreaming, dreaming of him constantly kissing her and saying sorry.
He would apologize, of course, but what had he done that needed an apology anyway?
Lu Wanwan remembered last night again, he had been evasive because he didn’t want to admit that he didn’t like her, thinking she would be oversensitive?
She didn’t want to think too much about it, and pushed Gu Annan away, crawling out of his embrace.
Last night had been exhausting, and she felt both tired and hungry.
Putting on her slippers, she quietly left the room.
Yawning, she remembered Gu Annan’s sensitive stomach, and decided soup would be better for him.
While snacking, she began to cook the soup.
Just as she finished and came out of the kitchen, she saw the man walking in, looking at the stove, "Is there some for me?"
Lu Wanwan stopped snacking and looked at him, her eyes wide and shining, full of puzzlement.
"Couldn’t sleep," Gu Annan averted his gaze, explaining, "So I just got up."
"The soup will take a little longer, eat this in the meantime if you’re hungry." She cast a doubtful glance and handed him a piece of chocolate cake from her hand.
Gu Annan took it nonchalantly and tore it open.
Lu Wanwan slightly squinted her eyes, wondering if staying up late could make a person silly?
It was obvious that she was confused why Gu Annan would ask such an obvious question, as if she would cook soup for one and not care what he ate, not that she was surprised he had gotten up at this time.
It would be really odd if he hadn’t gotten up!
"Did you say anything last night, after I fell asleep?"
The two people looked at each other for a moment before she initiated the question.
Gu Annan, leaning against the edge of the dining table, met her skeptical glance, "Are you asking me if I was talking in my sleep?"
"Never mind, it’s nothing." She gave up on asking that silly question. "Why didn’t you go to the company?"
"It’s not that important, I can do it from home." He went to take a cup, pouring a glass of ice water, "There is a dinner tonight, you’ll come with me."
It can be done at home because it’s not too important, is that how you act as a CEO?
"Actually, I’m okay now," she thought for a moment, "I don’t necessarily need someone with me. Even though my grandmother passed away, and I’m very sad, she had been ill for a while, and I had made my peace with it quite early, reluctantly as it might have been."
Gu Annan put down the cup, his gaze lingering on her, "Are you still mad about last night?"
