Chapter 380: Chapter 380 Let’s Get Married (2) Chapter 380: Chapter 380 Let’s Get Married (2) Lu Wanwan’s eyes widened as the serious expression on his face planted a seed of doubt in her mind, “Is that you in the photo?”

Gu Annan, hearing the uncertainty in her voice, couldn’t help but curl the corners of his mouth, his gaze towards her filled with a trace of grinding teeth, “Then who do you think it is?”

“Since that’s you, how is this not considered deceiving me?” Now she was certain without any doubt, and even more justified in her indignation.

Having been toyed with for so long, purposely letting her ‘accidentally’ find out the truth while he was on a business trip, driving her crazy for days, and now he has the audacity to claim innocence?

“Did I deceive you?” Gu Annan asked with a slight smirk, arms crossed, leaning back against the wall, eyeing the woman challenging him, “I asked you if you knew who it was, and you said you did.”

“…” Lu Wanwan found herself at a loss for words, the momentum she had just built up mercilessly dissipated by his blunt revelation.

“Since you knew, why would I need to tell you again?”

She wasn’t quite willing to give in, her fingers unconsciously twining together, “But I said later that actually I didn’t know…”

“Could it be because you’re too dumb?” Gu Annan raised his eyebrows, his words deliberate and unhurried as he watched her expression gradually shift to one of annoyance and embarrassment, “Did I ever tell you that wasn’t me?”

“…”

“Answer me, did I or did I not say that? Hm?”

He spoke gently, his voice light, but with those words, she found herself unwittingly responding, “No.”

“So, did I deceive you?” Gu Annan continued to stare into her clear, watery eyes, the hint of grievance all too evident.

“When I was talking nonsense, you didn’t correct me,” she murmured, her voice dropping a notch.

Even though there was some distance between them, she always felt the heat in the air raise the room temperature a few degrees.

She glanced up, and those deep eyes were now looking at her with amusement.

“Do you mean I didn’t correct your nonsense when you said you had a fiance, when you said marrying him was your mother’s dying wish, or when you said you planned to find him and couldn’t break the promise?”

“…”

Lu Wanwan was utterly discomfited.

The person who was supposed to be angry was her, the one looking to argue was her, yet how did she end up speechless in their exchange?

To top it off, he even brought up that embarrassing memory she wished she could erase right in front of her, just to see her regretful face–why was he doing this?

“…But you misled me!” She argued, her voice ringing clear and firm.

Gu Annan’s fingers, still crossed at his arm, curved slightly, speaking leisurely, “Being misled just proves you’re a bit dull, doesn’t it?”

Lu Wanwan glared at him; she was simply completely unaware of this matter.

They were only a few years old at the time; how could she possibly associate a little boy she barely glanced twice at in a photograph with him?

“Perhaps grandpa thought you were quite foolish back then, pitiable, even, fearing you’d grow up unwanted,” Gu Annan remarked nonchalantly.

“As if you had nothing to do with it. I suppose your grandpa thought your personality was so bad you’d end up alone, huh?” Lu Wanwan’s chin lifted defiantly as she shot back.

Gu Annan’s eyes narrowed slightly, a sense of danger suddenly looming.

She had no time to retreat when her waist was suddenly pulled forward.

A heavy masculine scent swiftly invaded her space, and her chin was effortlessly caught in his grasp.

“Personality too bad?” He spoke in a low voice, slowly enunciating each word.

Did she really think so poorly of his character in her eyes?

“You see, every time we disagree you just…” Lu Wanwan struggled to move her chin, unable to break free from his hold, when a burning kiss enveloped her.
