Chapter 162: Chapter 162) Are they evolving?!

Anastasia aka Clara’s pov,

Me, Fireball and Irving stood outside one of the wild forests.

On our way to the forest, we searched for elder Penelope, but she was nowhere to be found. I had a hunch that she must be in one of the forests.

I knew that because she would want to avenge her wolf, elder Paloma.

Even though she wasn’t there in the wild forest, I purposely came to the forest because I wanted to teach those wild beasts and hybrid creatures a lesson that they would never possibly forget.

If it was war they wanted, I would gladly give it to them.

"Come on. Let’s go in". I said to Fireball and Irving as I shifted into my wolf form.

"I thought you would never ask, mama". Irving said to me. Her voice was serious, and so was the look on her face.

I almost couldn’t recognize her.

Without delay, I dashed into the forest.

Fireball and Irving dashed into the forest with me. They were running so fast and could keep up with me.

One thought stayed in my mind as I ran through the thick cold forest.

It was Elektra who had suggested it to me earlier.

She wanted me to make deadly drugs, so that ordinary people, omegas, and other weak werewolves could use them to defend themselves against those bastards.

As I continued to run side by side with Fireball and Irving, who were jumping and kicking their way through with the help of the trees, I mind linked Elektra, saying to her, ’Your idea is great, Elektra. But people are dangerous and not all of them are trustworthy. The reason why I never revealed the deadly drug when I was Clara Hensley was because I was afraid that the deadly drug would be used for evil’.

’Hmm. Whatever you say. If you think it’s for the best, then so be it. I trust you’. She said to me.

Ha. It just seemed like it was yesterday that I reunited with her, a part of my being. Back then, she was such a meanie.

She seemed to have calmed down a little bit.

"Where are you!!". I yelled out and growled so loudly, while baring my teeth.

Coming to this wild forest wasn’t just about searching for elder Penelope, but it was also about teaching those bastards a very memorable lesson.

I halted, and so did Fireball and Irving after we heard the strong footsteps of something approaching us.

They seemed to be coming in herds because of the way the ground was vibrating, and the small pieces of stones shaking.

Suddenly, we were surrounded by them. The wild beasts and the hybrid creatures.

Some of them were flying and hovering above us in the sky.

No, it should be the air, as they were almost close to our heads.

There were so many of them, and I didn’t find that funny at all. They kept on multiplying like flies. There was no end to them.

I need to get stronger and eliminate them at once!

"Em, mama, should we attack them? Why aren’t they attacking us yet?". Irving held the helm of my top as she asked me.

"It looks like they are waiting for something". Fireball said, and I guessed that too.

The hybrid creatures and wild beasts that surrounded us looked like they were waiting for something or someone to arrive. It looked like they were waiting for a command to attack. Or was I mistaken?

’Just attack already! The sight of them angers me’. Elektra growled at me.

Just when I thought she had changed. Well, I was pissed off by the wild beasts and the hybrid creatures too.

"Fireball, Irving, both of you should handle those bastards in the sky. I will deal with the ones on the land. Make sure not to show them any mercy". I declared, and they firmly nodded at me.

"Of course, I was never going to show them any mercy from the start. They messed with my mama, they messed with me too!". Irving announced with a scoff.

Meanwhile, I took a step forward and wanted to attack. Abruptly, I felt pressured and halted instantly.

"Mama, I sensed a powerful presence". Fireball said to me and immediately stood in front of me as he shielded me.

While Irving stood guard behind me, not that I asked for it.

At that moment, I heard very powerful footsteps approaching.

The sound of its footsteps sounded terrifying. Most especially, intimidating.

The wild beasts and hybrid creatures that surrounded us stepped out of the way, revealing a kind of beast that not only looked terrifying, but very hideous.

It was standing tall like a human and had two legs and two hands, and was not like its fellow beasts that were walking on fours, or some of them that were crawling on their stomachs like snakes.

It had the scale of a snake on its face and huge teeth like that of a tiger.

While the rest of its body was very irritating and had a bad odor. And the color of its entire body was green, like an ogre.

It had two horns on the sides of its head. And its lower body was covered with a thin layer of clothes.

It was a hybrid creature, and it was accompanied by another companion, who had long hair and looked like a human, if not for the horns he had on his head.

He looked like black shadow. Only that his body was real flesh, and not shadow.

’What is going on?’. Elektra asked me. Her voice was low, as if she was stunned because of what she was seeing.

"Porlitui hoohui ghenuip hanada!". The hideous beast that was standing next to the human-like demon, said. He sounded angry and was pointing a finger at me.

"Hey, what was the meaning of those nonsense words that came out of your nonsense mouth?!". Elektra spoke through me.

Seriously? At a time like this?

She even asked the hybrid creature the wrong question. She should have asked the bastard how it learned how to speak.

I tapped Fireball’s shoulder. "It’s okay". I said to him and made him stop standing in front of me.

"What was that?". Glaring at the hybrid creature, I asked it.

"Your kind killed my brother! I will make you pay for that!". The hybrid creature, probably he, said to me.

My eyes widened. It could speak English fluently, shocking me.

The last hybrid creature I faced could talk, but could not talk properly. But this one. He was different. Wait. Are they evolving?!

If that is the case, then it is not good at all!
