Mountain Sitting Immortal
Chapter 402 - 402: Public Discourse.

Arthur hadn't cared much when his mother told him that she was nearly sacrificed for the family. He understood that the Roae family had fallen on hard times and were desperate for a solution.

Besides, their blood refinement had clearly worked in the case of Jade. It worked well, so it can't be said that everything that the Roe family did was in vain.

He was very understanding of the Roe family but ultimately didn't care about them or what they did, as he thought that it didn't concern him. But when they came to buy sexual favors from him as if he were some prostitute and then asked him to have sex with his cousin, he realized that the matter might concern him a little bit.

The matter became a lot more troublesome when Jade began stalking him. She didn't do anything outright wrong or break any rules, but her presence still irritates him.

So he really can't be blamed for hoping that Jade will advance to the third mortal coil and lose her ability to reproduce. That would surely get her off his back.

He didn't tell Goldwyn and Jason any of these, though. He just let them be disgusted by the idea of him having sex with someone who looks like his mother. Then they shifted the topic of their conversation to something else.

They spoke for a long time about random things. But their conversation eventually returned to the matter of foundation establishment, armament forging, and array formations.

As the disciples of the Blood Skull Sect, if there is something that they all have in common apart from being geniuses in the top 1,000 and powerful cultivators, it will be armament forging and array formation.

These two arts go hand in hand because they are a must-learn in order to create armaments. Since armaments are the core of the power system of the sect, these two arts are also core arts for the sect.

Everyone here on the airship forged their own armament. This means that they can forge artifacts for a living if they were not part of a sect that supports them or if they were not strong enough to take whatever they want by force.

Since all of them have at least a working understanding of these two topics, when Arthur, Goldwyn, and Jason began talking about them, the people nearby also joined in.

At first, people decided to listen to their conversation because it was about how Goldwyn and Jason forged their foundation. This topic was very interesting to the disciples in the outer sect since they were still in the second mortal coil and needed to forge their foundation soon.

So it was the disciples at the second mortal coil that first joined in the conversation, and they only listened. They didn't speak.

But when the three of them began talking about forging and formation arrays, everyone else had something to say. So more and more people began talking.

The disciples at the third mortal coil also joined in the conversation. After all, they too knew a lot about these two topics and were eager to learn more about them.

Not everyone on the ship joined their conversation. But more than three hundred on the ship did. This caused quite a ruckus as people argued.

In order to settle some arguments, some of them took out materials for forging or for creating formations and went ahead to forge or create formations in order to prove their point.

This endeavor to prove themselves increased the level of noise and chaos. But it was ultimately harmonious.

Everyone joined the conversation in order to learn. This mutual goal is what kept the crowd harmonious.

Even though many of them were embarrassed when they were proven wrong and some of them were unhappy for other reasons, everyone still learned one thing or another. This kept the conversation going for hours.

Actually, the conversation didn't end till they reached their destination. By that time, the people talking and arguing had increased to nearly five hundred in size.

This many people stood on the deck to argue and trade ideas. For the people that were not interested, they went below deck to spend their time in their cabins.

Thor wasn't among the people that weren't interested in the conversation. Far from it, he was usually the source of an argument.

He had too many unconventional ideas that usually led to arguments. But ultimately, he was like a fish in water. He was right at home in the midst of the exchange of knowledge.

After they reached their destination, the three elders came out and led the way to disembark from the ship. Then they were led to the assembly point to wait.

All of them were made to stand in a large field as a group. They weren't the only groups there. There were many other groups that represented various families and sects already waiting on the field. They were to all wait until everyone had arrived before they left for the secret realm.

Of course, they wouldn't wait forever. There is a deadline after which they would leave regardless of the absence of anyone else.

The family hosting them this time around is a family under the control of the Black Skull sect. This family used to be under the control of the Jade Cauldron sect, which was why an elder of the Jade Cauldron sect would leave their inheritance in this secret realm.

The family had to change sects after the Jade Cauldron sect fell and the Sword Way sect took their place. The Sword Way sect was too weak, so some of their territories were taken away by the surrounding sects.

This family came under the control of the Black Bones sect because the Black Bones sect laid claim to the secret realm that they were protecting. The Sword Way sect had to give up the territory, so the family had no choice in the matter of coming under the control of the Black Bones sect.
