Chapter 4394: Falling Into The Trap

I had stopped even the smallest movement of my body and covered myself with stealth.

I was unable to fully integrate the stealth into this environment, but even at this power, it is impressive. I just hoped it would be enough to save me from the bear.

It seemed to be searching for something, smelling the air, shaking the ground.

It is using different methods; the only thing it isn’t using is the soul sense. The monster had gotten used to this environment.

It is the only thing that made me relieved. If it had been soul sense, I would have been more scared.

I am still scared, and I waited with the frozen body.

The second passed, and the monster kept sniffing around, coming closer to me and going farther. It played around for a minute and a half before the monster began walking away.

I watched it leave and stayed frozen, even when it disappeared from my sight.

It was at the fourth minute that I unlocked my body from the freeze and took a big sigh of relief.

’Fuck that was scary,’ I thought to myself.

I am not mad to repeat that word necessarily, but that monster, if it had found me, would have torn me apart in seconds.

I stayed in my place for another minute before I started moving again; this time, a little faster.

I had wasted a few minutes in there, and I want to recoup them. Time is precious in this realm, and I don’t want to waste it.

Soon, three hours passed, and my armor was still holding on. In another two to three hours, I will finish the circle of this place.

As I said, it isn’t big, but it is dangerous.

A second later, a powerful monster sped past a few hundred meters away from me. It was moving so fast that I had only sensed him a second before I could see him.

’People didn’t see a single one in their whole trip, and here, I saw two already,’ I thought.

I felt like something had happened to make them move, but I could be wrong, and it might be just a coincidence.

’Let’s hope it is,’ I thought, and moved ahead.

An hour and a half passed, and I had reached the very thick vegetation. With a dense number of precious resources, my strings immediately moved to harvest them.

I harvested them one after another before sending them to my core.

Seeing the harvest, a big smile appeared on my face.

That smile remained on it for a while before suddenly it froze, and horror appeared on my face.

’I am fucked!’ I realised with horror.

I had walked into a trap without even realising it, and wouldn’t have if not for the invisible gas that is invisible to even senses.

It does not have any magical weight, nor any colour since it is transparent or order.

It is very hard to sense, and the only thing I sensed was that it tried to enter my armor and was stopped. As I sensed it, I sensed other things after realising what it is.

I wanted to shoot away, but I controlled my impulse. Sudden movement would be bad.

So, I continued with what I am doing; I didn’t try to escape immediately. Instead, I begin to make my preparations, even begin taking the gas inside after the preparations.

I am in deep trouble right now, and every move I make will help me survive what is coming for me.

I have seconds, at most a minute, and in that time, I have to prepare so that I come out alive.

It’s not the first time I’ve come across such an enemy, but I sensed them. However, this time, the change in sensory method had messed things up.

Soon, over fifty seconds passed before I had finally sensed the movement from it.

It moved closer and closer as the seconds passed. When suddenly, the earth exploded under my feet while the leaves rustled as the vines came at me.

It is a plant monster; it is not technically a monster, but a plant that has monster-level sentience, and it wants to consume like a fertilizer.

When I entered this place, I considered it a regular vine, finding nothing special about it. By the time it was discovered, it was too late.

My sword appeared in my hand as I looked at seven vines coming at me from the ground and above.

These vines have vibrant leaves and long, sharp thorns. Earlier, they were tiny thorns, but now, they have grown bigger.

I could see the tiny holes on those thorns.

Forget seven, vines, even single vine would be enough to suck me dry within seconds. It didn’t even have to use all its thorns, even a quarter would do the job.

Full Burst!

Seeing that my very life is in danger, I didn’t hold back. I activated the full power of the burst.

It’s been a while since I used the full power, I didn’t require it, but right now, I am wishing, that it will be enough, because if it is not, I am fucked.

The formations roared in my armor, while I poured the energy into my sword.

A moment passed, and I moved with formation, roaring into my armor and my clones charting my path.

I took seven steps one after another, avoiding the vines one after another by inches, before bringing my sword down toward the vine that is coming directly at me with a long, sharp thorn.

Once it pieces me, it will be game over, with this; it won’t even need hundreds of tiny little thorns.

One big is more than enough.
