Monopolize My Mysterious Wife
Chapter 974 - 974 960 Places with Seas (1)

Chapter 974: 960, Places with Seas (1) Chapter 974: 960, Places with Seas (1) Jian Qing’s brows knitted lightly in frustration as Shen Hua let go of his hand, curling her fingertip to flick his forehead lightly, “Annoying little thing.”

After lingering for a few minutes, Shen Hua turned and walked out, only to run into Shen Yan, who had just returned. He put on a stern face, “What are you doing back here?”

“And you, brother, didn’t you leave?” Shen Yan, leaning against the doorway, looked at him meaningfully.

Shen Hua coughed lightly and said, “I just left something in there.”

“What a coincidence, I also left something inside.” Shen Yan replied with a faint smile.

Shen Hua gave him a cold glance and turned to leave.

Watching his retreating figure, Shen Yan couldn’t help but recall his earlier actions in the room, a faint smile appeared in his eyes.

Actually, his brother was also quite fond of Seventeen and Nineteen.

He stepped inside, picked up the phone that was left in the room, glanced at the two little ones fast asleep, and walked out on tiptoes.

The heat was suffocating, and the chirping of cicadas was incessant.

Racing back to Beijing overnight, Jian Qing was forced by Quan Jingwu back into her room to rest.

But with the two little ones still missing, how could Jian Qing possibly sleep peacefully? The moment Quan Jingwu left the room, she immediately got out of bed and started searching for Shen Hua’s whereabouts on her computer.

The door was left ajar, and the cool air from the air conditioner kept escaping.

The empty corridor was filled with refreshing coolness.

Footsteps sounded from afar, drawing closer, step by step…

Jian Qing furrowed her brows, quickly closed her computer, placed it back on the bedside table, and then lay back down pretending to sleep.

The next moment, the door pushed open.

Quan Jingwu glanced at the person in bed, then walked slowly to the bedside, his large hand casually touched the computer.

A faint warmth gave away everything.

Hidden under the covers, Jian Qing clearly heard the man’s soft sigh. She pulled down the blanket, and Quan Jingwu sat down beside the bed.

“Not pretending to sleep anymore?”

His voice was soft, sounding both helpless and heartbroken.

Jian Qing sat up and threw herself into his embrace, wrapping her arms around his sturdy waist, “Xiaojing.”

Quan Jingwu knew she was worried about their two little treasures. He lifted his hand to embrace her, “If you keep this up, your body won’t hold up either.”

“I won’t let anything happen to myself before we find Seventeen and Nineteen. Xiaojing, don’t worry,” Jian Qing said in a muffled voice.

“I really don’t know what to do with you.”

Resignation tinged his voice that sounded from above her head, still as magnetic and pleasant as always.

“Buzz—”

The notification sound from the mobile phone went off. Jian Qing got out of his embrace, picked up the phone, and upon seeing an unfamiliar number, her eyes darkened.

She opened the video, and the delicate little faces of Seventeen and Nineteen invaded their view.

“Daddy, the nasty old witch.”

“Seventeen misses Daddy and Mommy.”

Their soft and mushy voices came through the phone, striking straight at Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing’s hearts.

Jian Qing’s nose tingled, and she couldn’t help but tear up.

Quan Jingwu took the phone, looking at the two little ones in the video. His violet eyes turned cold, “This must be from Shen Yan.”

The little ones seemed relaxed and showed no fear of being kidnapped, indicating Shen Yan must have taken this video.

Moreover, judging by the room in the video, the two little ones did not seem to have been mistreated.

Jian Qing blinked, forcing back the mist in her eyes, then took her phone and began to trace the location from which the video had been sent.

However, the results left her disappointed.

Tracing the other person’s phone was like throwing a stone into the sea.

She played the video again, staring at the little faces of the two children, wishing she could reach through the video and hold them tight.

“Shen Yan sent this video, which means Xiaojing and the others are safe for now, and it seems that Xiaojing and Xiaojun haven’t been mistreated. Don’t panic,” a man’s deep voice came from beside her. Jian Qing looked up at him and nodded slightly.

“Jian Luo, who do you think the ‘old witch’ Xiaojun mentioned could be?” Jian Qing softened as she saw the child frowning and pouting while mentioning the ‘old witch.’

“Shen Hua,” Quan Jingwu’s thin lips curved slightly.

“But isn’t the ‘old witch’ supposed to be a woman?” Jian Qing was puzzled.

“Xiaojun is a clever and mischievous boy. He calls anyone who is mean to him the ‘old witch.'” After many days, Quan Jingwu finally cracked a slight smile.

This was something he had discovered by chance the last time he took the little fellow to the park.

Jian Qing’s lips curved into a light smile, her gaze firmly fixed on the video as she played it repeatedly, never finding it boring.

Suddenly, her delicate brows furrowed, and she turned the volume of the phone to its highest.

“Jian Luo, do you hear the sound of the waves?”

Quan Jingwu leaned close to the phone, listening intently. Amidst the clear voice of the little one, there was indeed a faint sound of surging waves.

Though the sound was almost imperceptible, they could confirm it was the sound of the ocean.

“It looks like we need to search in the areas close to the sea,” Jian Qing mused aloud.

Quan Jingwu took out his phone, called Shen Hao, and Jian Qing sent the video to Jian Luo, briefly explaining the situation to them.

On the other side

Shen Yan had not expected that a single video could reveal such a big flaw. For two consecutive days, he had been trying to persuade Shen Hua.

That day, like always, Shen Yan came to find Shen Hua and had just approached the study when he heard Shen Hua’s thunderous voice from inside.

Ada stood at the doorway, and when he saw Shen Yan, he stopped him.

“Second Young Master, the master is busy with something urgent. You’d better go back,” he said.

“What happened?” Shen Yan, peering through the slightly ajar door, caught sight of a shattered vase on the floor and his eyes flashed.

Ada hesitated, then whispered, “Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing destroyed several of our bases and hubs. Now our goods can’t be shipped out.”

Without going into details, Shen Yan knew the consequences of this situation.

If the goods couldn’t be delivered on time, the partners would definitely make a scene, and it wouldn’t be as simple as paying compensation for breach of contract.

“I understand. Open the door, I need to talk to him.”

Ada still blocked his way, “Second Young Master, I really can’t let you in.”

“Let him in,” came Shen Hua’s repressed voice from inside, his overwhelming anger palpable even through the door.

Ada opened the door, and Shen Yan walked in without hesitation.

Carefully avoiding the mess on the floor, Shen Yan walked up to the desk.

“Brother,” he said.

His greeting was met with a barrage of files thrown at him.

Shen Yan looked down at the scattered files on the ground, his expression unreadable.

“Take a good look at these yourself,” Shen Hua slammed his hand on the desk, bellowing, “Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing have overstepped, destroying so much of my hard work. How do you expect me to let them off?”

Shen Yan opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, he was interrupted, “Do you think I’ll let their children go? No way. They dared to destroy my efforts. Very well, I’ll use their son to make my point.”

Shen Yan’s expression changed, his gaze fixed on him, “Brother, what are you planning to do?”

“Ada,” Shen Hua ignored his question, shouting toward the doorway.
