Chapter 971: 957, The Two Little Treasures Get into Trouble (1) Chapter 971: 957, The Two Little Treasures Get into Trouble (1) Several days passed without any news regarding the two children, the faces of Lord Quan and the others devoid of any smiles.

Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing didn’t stay at home either. They sent people out in every direction to look for traces of Shen Hua, and as soon as a hint of a clue appeared, both would immediately fly there. It’s fair to say they became air travelers for those few days, only managing to snatch brief moments of sleep on planes or in cars.

That day, the two of them found Shen Hua’s base in Italy and turned it upside down. Even so, they couldn’t find a single soul, as if the people there had already been tipped off about their arrival and had evacuated completely in advance.

“Damn it, they’ve gotten one step ahead of us again,” Jian Qing threw down the iced coffee in her hand, her delicate eyes frosting over with an unmeltable chill.

Her grip tightened, the knuckles “pop pop” making noise.

Quan Jingwu heard the commotion and came in from outside, his eyes quickly scanning the coffee on the ground before he swiftly walked over to her side.

He took her hand, carefully prying her fingers apart one by one, and when he saw the crescent marks in her soft palms, he couldn’t help but feel heartache.

He didn’t say anything, just pulled her into his arms and gently stroked her ink-black hair.

“Xiaojing, I miss Seventeen and Nineteen so much,” Jian Qing’s voice, tinged with a sob, spilled out as she buried herself in his embrace.

She dared not close her eyes at night because as soon as she did, it seemed she could hear Seventeen and Nineteen crying.

It had been so many days, and she didn’t know if they were being mistreated, if they had enough food and clothing, if they were crying for their daddy and mommy.

Quan Jingwu’s hand paused as he stroked her hair, his gaze growing deeper, “Seventeen and Nineteen are smart; they will be okay. They are still waiting for us to take them back home, they will be okay.”

Suddenly, the sound of a phone ringing broke the silence.

Jian Qing pulled away from him and took out her phone. It was Jian Luo calling.

“Luoluo!”

“Sis, have you found anything? By the time Black Jack and I arrived, the base here in Y Country was already empty,” Jian Luo said.

Upon hearing this, Jian Qing closed her eyes, “No, they got away.”

“Sis, take it slow. We’ll head to the next base and keep in touch at all times.”

After the call ended, Jian Qing gripped her phone, a fierce glint flickering in her eyes.

Shen Hua, if you dare, keep hiding like a turtle retracting into its shell.

I want to see how many bases and facilities you have left for me to destroy.

“Let’s go.”

Quan Jingwu took her hand, and the two of them left together.

“Master, the goods in F Country have been handled,” Ada reported expressionlessly.

Shen Hua responded faintly with his back to Ada.

“Move the inventory from the other bases to F Country to cover this loss, and make sure to notify them to rush out the goods for the other trading parties.”

Ada’s expression changed slightly, “Master, there’s something else I have to tell you.”

“Speak.”

“Jian Qing and Quan Jingwu have located quite a few of our bases and strongholds. Over the past few days, they have already destroyed four bases and six strongholds,” Ada finished, holding his breath, waiting for Shen Hua’s explosive rage.

A cool breeze passed, and there was a deadly silence.

After a moment, a frightening ferocity flashed in Shen Hua’s eyes as he bit down on his teeth, “These two ignorants.”

Did they really think he wouldn’t dare to touch their sons?

“Where are the two little ones?”

Ada looked up, unexpectedly meeting the malevolent gaze in his eyes, and a chill flashed through his heart.

“Master, please, calm down a bit.”

“Heh, calm? Am I not calm enough already?” Shen Hua sneered coldly. It was exactly because he was too calm that Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing had been so presumptuous.

“Ada, are you also planning to side with Ayan in protecting those two little brats?”

Ada repeatedly shook his head, lowering it and saying, “I wouldn’t dare.”

Shen Hua snorted coldly and strode out.

With Shen Yan around, the two little ones were quite adapted to life on the island. Despite crying out for daddy and mommy every day, Shen Yan was quite skilled in comforting children, always managing to soothe them.

As per usual, Dr. Kesen would come to check on Shen Yan’s health every day.

Shen Yan looked at the obvious scar over his chest, smiled indifferently, and slowly began buttoning up his shirt.

“Young Master, starting today, your medicine will have a few more ingredients added,” Dr. Kesen said as he took the prepared medication from his medical box and handed it to A’er.

Shen Yan offered a faint smile, “You have taken great effort, Dr. Kesen.”

After all, he had been a medicine jar since he was young; eating more or less medication had long been a routine matter for him—it didn’t really make any difference.

“Right, about the medicine I discussed with you before, have you succeeded in developing it?”

Dr. Kesen dreaded Shen Yan bringing up this matter. Facing those perceptive eyes, the words he intended to say got stuck in his throat.

Noticing his hesitation, Shen Yan tapped on the desk lightly, “Dr. Kesen, you should know, I don’t like being lied to.”

“Young Master, please don’t make it difficult for me. I’ve already made very clear to you the effects of that medicine; you really should not take it,” Dr. Kesen earnestly advised.

Shen Yan knew he was concerned about his health, and his lips curled slightly, “Don’t worry, I know my measure. You just need to answer my earlier question.”

“That medicine is nearly ready; the experiment still needs a few more days’ time,” Dr. Kesen said with reluctance.

Shen Yan, “How many days exactly, I need a precise time.”

“At least one week.”

“Fine, bring the medicine directly to me after one week. Remember, not a word to my brother,” Shen Yan said in a low voice.

“Yes.”

After sending off Dr. Kesen, A’er entered.

“Young Master, are you really sure about this?”

If he were to make this move, it would mean walking straight towards death.

Shen Yan smiled as if he hadn’t a care in the world, “What’s there to be sure about? My end won’t change; it’s just a matter of sooner or later.”

His fate had been sealed from the moment he was born.

With the way his brother was, he was probably running out of patience. He needed to think of a countermeasure quickly.

The expression on A’er’s face was indescribably complex, and the look in his eyes became even more concerned when he glanced at Shen Yan.

“By the way, where are Seventeen and Nineteen?”

“They should be playing in the garden outside,” A’er said.

“Let’s go and have a look.”

Shen Yan straightened his slightly disheveled shirt and stepped out.

Just as he descended the stairs, a servant came running over in a frenzy, almost colliding with A’er.

“What happened?”

“Young Master, it’s terrible. The two young masters somehow got into the oldest master’s study and spilled water on the oldest master’s computer. The oldest master is throwing a fit in the study right now,” the servant stammered in panic.

Upon hearing this, Shen Yan’s expression changed slightly, and he hurried out.

“What’s going on? Weren’t you told to watch the children?” A’er glared at the servant with angry eyes and scolded coldly.
