Chapter 911: 897, One Move Ahead (2) Chapter 911: 897, One Move Ahead (2) “Black Jack brought me the chocolate from the store we always eat at,” Jian Luo said openly in response to her suspicious gaze.

Jian Qing couldn’t help but laugh.

Indeed, the temptation of chocolate was strong.

“Would Black Jack feel disappointed if he knew he’s not as attractive as a box of chocolates?” she teased.

Jian Luo took a few sips and half of the large iced coffee vanished instantly, “No worries, he’s known this not just since today.”

He must have been used to it since childhood.

Jian Qing silently sympathized with Black Jack for a second and then said, “I should head back first.”

“Okay, there’s also cake,” Jian Luo opened the car door and placed the cake in the back seat.

Jian Qing closed the car door, rolled down the window, and waved at him, “I’ll bring Seventeen and the others to Shijin Haoting to find you guys tomorrow.”

“OK!” Jian Luo nodded.

Watching the sports car drive off, Jian Luo squinted his eyes, finished the last sip of iced coffee, and then threw the cup into the trash bin to leave no trace.

He looked down at his wristwatch and leisurely started walking away.

M Country

In the spacious living room, the atmosphere was somewhat subdued.

On the sofa, the man reclined with his hands on his abdomen, eyes closed as if resting.

“Second Young Master, we’ve been waiting here for over two hours. How about we head back first? Eldest Young Master probably got held up with something and won’t make it today,” A’er couldn’t help but say.

Shen Yan’s eyelids didn’t lift an inch, “He will come!”

Seeing his certainty, A’er didn’t press further and stood quietly to one side.

After a while, steady footsteps approached from a distance.

“Eldest Young Master!”

As the person arrived, A’er bowed slightly and greeted him respectfully.

Against the light, the man exuded an unrelievable chill, his eagle-like eyes lifting with an intimidating coldness.

Shen Hua gave him a cursory glance and focused on the person feigning sleep on the sofa, “Ayan, when did you get here?”

“Brother, let’s skip the pleasantries between us,” Shen Yan opened his eyes and looked up at the person opposite him, a faint smile playing on his lips.

He probably knew his whereabouts as soon as he left the island.

Shen Hua’s gaze paused briefly, “What are you doing in M Country?”

“Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that?” Shen Yan met his gaze directly, counter questioning.

“The group has some affairs to deal with over here and I’m here to inspect the branch office incidentally,” Shen Hua said without change of expression.

Shen Yan’s smile took on a mocking edge, “Brother, don’t use that excuse on me. You know I don’t believe it.”

“Whether you believe it or not is your business. Your health hasn’t fully recovered yet. If you have no urgent matters, you should head back to the island,” Shen Hua said.

“Brother, let’s be frank, what are you really planning?” Shen Yan didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly.

“Worried I’ll make a move on Jian Qing?” Shen Hua’s eyes targeted him as he coldly chuckled.

“Brother, I don’t want to repeat myself. In one sentence, if you dare touch Jian Qing or her child, you’ll force me to regard you as an enemy,” he said indifferently, a sharp glint crossing his eyes.

“A’er, let’s go.”

He smoothed his sleeve, stood up, and his lean figure was still as slender as ever.

“Eldest Young Master, we’ll be taking our leave,” A’er bowed respectfully to Shen Hua and then followed Shen Yan out.

Shen Hua remained silent, watching as his figure disappeared at the door, a bone-chilling coldness seeping into his eyes.

“Ada, keep an eye on Ayan and make sure he returns to the island,” he commanded.

Nothing could be allowed to disrupt his plans, not even if that person was his own younger brother.

“Yes,” Ada nodded and quickly left.

In the car

A’er was driving, with Shen Yan sitting in the backseat. The window was rolled down, allowing a cool breeze to rush in, messing up his hair and blurring the expression on his face.

“A’er, get the crew ready.”

After so many days, his brother’s patience must have reached its limit.

A’er’s grip on the steering wheel tightened, “Second Young Master, do you really want to do this?”

It really meant standing against Big Young Master.

Shen Yan rolled up the window, “I have no choice.”

He was forced into this.

“I understand, but Second Young Master, will you be staying in Beijing or M Country?” A’er glanced up at the rearview mirror, met his gaze, and asked.

Shen Yan spoke in a calm voice, “Prepare the plane, I’m headed to Beijing tonight.”

“Understood.”

In an unseen corner, a red light flashed under the seat, then disappeared into the darkness.

Shen Yan lightly tapped his brow, his warm features shrouded with a layer of coldness.

Brother, if you want to fight, I’ll join you. Let’s see who has the upper hand this time.

The scorching summer sun felt as if it could melt people.

“So hot, I’m dying from the heat.”

Quan Mingxuan rushed in with his butt on fire, a thin sweat breaking out on his forehead.

Old Madam Quan saw him return and expressed her surprise, “Axuan, why have you come back?”

“Grandma, I’m heading to S City for a few days; I came back to get some luggage,” Quan Mingxuan said, and then immediately went to the two little treasures.

“Seventeen, Nineteen, quickly call me Uncle, and I’ll bring you snacks when I come back.”

Watching Quan Mingxuan reach for his son, Quan Jingwu grabbed his collar at the neck with a disdainful glance, “Go wash your hands, then you can hold my son.”

“Stingy.” Quan Mingxuan withdrew his hand and pouted.

“Axuan, finish your sour plum soup to relieve the summer heat,” the old Madam Quan offered a bowl of sour plum soup and passed it to him.

“Grandma is always the best to me,” Quan Mingxuan said casually, draping an arm over the old madam’s shoulder.

Old Madam Quan shook her head with a smile, “Oh you.”

“Daddy!” Nineteen, who was playing happily with Seventeen, suddenly turned and clutched Quan Jingwu’s hand to shake it.

“What is it?” Quan Jingwu picked him up, “Are you hungry?”

“He just had lunch, he can’t be hungry so soon,” Jian Qing commented while helping Seventeen with the toy bricks.

“Daddy, big, big lollipop,” Nineteen mumbled, grasping his little hand, his clear purple eyes sparkling with joy.

“Big lollipop.”

“Cough cough, hahaha, Nineteen, you still remember your big lollipop.” Upon hearing this, Quan Mingxuan choked on the sour plum soup he hadn’t yet swallowed, successfully making himself cough.

Poor Nineteen had no idea that his super big lollipop had already been thrown into the trash by his dad.

Jian Qing glanced at Nineteen and a faint smile appeared on her lips.

The little guy had a good memory, especially for his favorite lollipop—how could he possibly forget?

Quan Jingwu lowered his eyes to look at Nineteen in his arms, meeting the bright smile on his face, with a hint of helplessness flickering deep in his eyes.

He cleared his throat and said, “Nineteen, the lollipop was eaten by Snowball.”

Snowball, who was sleeping not too far away, suddenly felt a chill on its back.

It rolled over, snorted through its nose, and continued sleeping.

Nineteen’s delicate little face scrunched up, his rosy lips pouting.

The big lollipop was gone.

Nineteen’s lollipop had been eaten by Snowball.
