Chapter 843: 829, Emotional Affairs (5) Chapter 843: 829, Emotional Affairs (5) Listening to the woman’s crisp laughter, Quan Jingwu strode toward her.
“You, what are you doing?”
The man walked over with an imposing aura, and Jian Qing hurried to the edge of the bed to hide, only to be trapped in his embrace as he got there first.
Quan Jingwu wrapped an arm around her waist and lightly bit her ear tip, “Seeing me at a disadvantage, are you that pleased, hmm?”
“Not at all, you saw wrong,” Jian Qing said, holding back her laughter.
Quan Jingwu snorted softly, “Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth; I think it’s better to verify it myself.”
With that, his well-defined hand began to wander downward.
“Wow, Quan Jingwu, you are a pervert.”
Jian Qing glared with dark eyes, quickly slapping his hand away and pushing him off before hurriedly running toward the twin babies’ crib.
“Seventeen, nineteen, save mommy.”
Quan Jingwu’s purple eyes narrowed, and with his long legs, he quickly walked toward Jian Qing, and for a moment, the two played a game of chase and hide around the room.
In the end, Jian Qing was still caught by the lord, who directly carried and threw her onto the bed. Saying thrown, yet he used skill, so she wouldn’t get hurt at all.
Jian Qing tried to sit up but was met with a shadow overhead; the man pinned her hands, and his tall frame shielded his darling completely.
Quan Jingwu looked down at the person beneath him. With her little face rosy and a light smile easily stirring his heartstrings.
Jian Qing looked up into his purple eyes, catching the subtle grievances hidden deep within, her smile crafty, “Xiaojing, on such a memorable day, we should celebrate with the babies. I’ve decided, the four of us will sleep together tonight.”
Quan Jingwu, “…”
All plans considered, and yet he forgot to account for that time of the month, truly speechless.
“Okay, okay, don’t be upset anymore, my stomach still hurts,” Jian Qing hugged his neck, tilted her head up and kissed his lips, coquettishly said.
“Does it hurt a lot?” Hearing her discomfort, he immediately started to rub her lower abdomen.
“Just a little.”
His brows slightly furrowed, he stood up, “Stay here, I’ll be right back.”
“Where are you going?”
“To make you ginger tea with brown sugar,” he said as he walked toward the outside.
Jian Qing laughed and fell back onto the bed, how could her King Jing be so adorable?
Due to the sudden arrival of her period, Jian Qing spent a very uneventful wedding night.
In the morning, golden light poured in, driving away the darkness of the room.
The man got dressed, turned around, and caught sight of a cute little treasure.
Two pairs of identical purple eyes met in the air; suddenly, the little one smiled broadly, melting away the frost in his daddy’s eyes.
Quan Jingwu rolled up his sleeves and walked over quietly, lifting Nineteen into his arms, while from the corner of his eye, he saw Jian Qing and Seventeen still sleeping on the bed, his lips curving into a light smile.
He cradled nineteen in one arm, took out his little clothes from the wardrobe, and helped him change. While at it, he also made him a bottle of milk, then walked out holding him.
As last night’s wedding party had gone on late, all the guests rose late. After breakfast, they weren’t in a rush to leave but wandered around the island. The young masters and daughters formed groups and headed to the beach to play.
Quan Jingwu strolled out holding nineteen, watching the noisy scene on the beach with a frown. Nineteen nestled in his arms, drinking milk, his little feet gently swaying, looking quite content.
After pausing for just a few minutes, he turned around with nineteen in his arms to go back, just as a white figure was coming towards him at a slow pace.
Both stopped in their tracks as black eyes met purple eyes, locked in an invisible standoff.
After a while, Chu Yihen was the first to look away, his gaze falling on nineteen in Quan Jingwu’s arms. Despite sharing Quan Jingwu’s purple eyes, the child’s features resembled those of the woman he could not have.
Mesmerized by Chu Yihen’s focused gaze, nineteen lifted his little head to look at him, but after just a few seconds, he lowered his head again and concentrated on his milk.
Uh-uh, not as good-looking as my Daddy.
Quan Jingwu averted his gaze and left without a word.
Chu Yihen watched their father and son figures disappearing in the distance, a light smile playing on his thin, water-colored lips, and a shadow of malice flickered in his eyes.
In the afternoon, the beach was buzzing with even more activity. It was the guests’ last night on the island, and after tonight, they would all have to leave the island early the next morning.
A luxurious cruise ship was moored on the azure sea, hosting a lively party, mainly attended by young people.
Unlike the sultry summers of Beijing, the climate around the island was relatively cooler, although the sun was quite fierce.
Under the sunshades, groups of well-dressed ladies sat in twos and threes, most of them wearing cool, strappy long dresses that fluttered in the breeze, presenting a charming sight.
“Mingyan, what happened to your foot?” Xiya asked, surprised, as she looked at the swelling around Zhan Mingyan’s ankle.
“I twisted it by accident, it’s nothing,” Zhan Mingyan said indifferently, glancing at her swollen ankle.
Xiya leaned against the railing on the cruise ship, her wine glass wobbling in her hand, “You’ve been distracted since this morning. Is something on your mind?”
“No,” Zhan Mingyan replied with a forced smile.
Xiya smiled meaningfully, “That’s not true. Your expression has already betrayed you. Could it be a romantic issue?”
At that, Zhan Mingyan fell silent.
Excited, Xiya’s hand trembled, spilling a few drops of wine on herself, “Did I guess right? Come on, let your sister give you some advice.”
Zhan Mingyan kept her head down, still not speaking.
“Is it about Bai Jue?” Xiya pressed further.
Zhan Mingyan neither denied nor admitted it, but silence was the answer for Xiya.
“What’s wrong, did Bai Jue mistreat you?” Seeing her troubled expression, Xiya felt as though she was looking at her past self.
Zhan Mingyan shook her head and after a moment of contemplation, she looked up at Xiya with a trace of bewilderment in her eyes, “Xiya, Khan used to be quite notorious in the jewelry industry with lots of gossip. How did the two of you end up together?”
Khan had a prominent reputation in the jewelry industry, and his scandals were not meager. Every few days, he was linked to either this model or that wealthy heiress. With Xiya’s carefree and uninhibited personality, how could she have fallen for someone like Khan?
Xiya couldn’t help but laugh quietly, knowing in her heart that Zhan Mingyan had lumped Khan and Bai Jue together, but her thoughts weren’t wrong. After all, the rumors about Khan were true, and remembering that flirtatious rascal made her grit her teeth.
