Chapter 769: 755, When will wake up is an unknown (2) _1 Chapter 769: 755, When will wake up is an unknown (2) _1 Jian Qing looked up at Shen Hao, her face pale. “How are things going?”

“The surgery is not yet finished,” Shen Hao said, “We can only wait until Fu Heng comes out to know the situation.”

“Little Qingqing, don’t worry, sit down and have a drink of water. Director Wan said that you can’t get impatient now; it’s not good for you and the baby.” Rhee helped her sit down, reaching over to take the cup from Quan Hao’s hand and handing it to her.

Jian Qing held the cup, her gaze continuously falling on the tightly closed doors, a sense of foreboding always looming in her heart.

Xiaojing, you need to get better soon; our baby is still waiting for you.

After what felt like an eternity, the tightly closed doors finally opened. Those short two hours seemed to have passed like a century for everyone present.

Fu Heng in his white coat came out, taking off his surgical mask as he walked.

“Fu Heng, how is Xiaojing doing?” Jian Qing was the first to take off running, her frantic stride startling Rhee and the others.

“Madam, Boss…” Fu Heng’s gaze met Jian Qing’s, his expression somber, hesitating as if he were about to speak.

His pausing triggered a sinking in Jian Qing’s heart, “Speak clearly.”

“I have treated the wound on Boss’s back, he can recover with enough rest. But Boss has hit his head against a rock; it’s uncertain when he will wake up.” As he spoke, Fu Heng’s voice gradually faded.

With a loud thump, Jian Qing’s mind went blank.

“When he wakes up is uncertain”

Fu Heng’s words echoed in her ears for a long time, the tight string in her heart snapped.

Her sight went dark and she fell backward.

“Jian Qing!”

Mingxuan, who was standing behind her, quickly reached out his hand to hold her up.

“Quickly take her back to her ward to rest. Director Wan said she can’t take any shocks right now,” Rhee looked at the unconscious Jian Qing, forcing herself to calm down.

Mingxuan lifted Jian Qing and quickly moved towards the ward, with Yifei following behind.

“Fu Heng, is the situation really that bad?” Shen Hao asked.

Fu Heng nodded, “There is a blood clot in Boss’s brain. Unless it dissolves, Boss won’t wake up.”

“Fu Heng, isn’t there any other way?” Rhee grabbed his arm, asking urgently.

Fu Heng’s face was heavy. Just as he was about to shake his head, an image of a handsome face with a mischievous smile surfaced in his mind.

“That person may have a way.”

Quan Hao asked, “Who?”

“Bai Jue, Madam’s friend.” Fu Heng said.

He had witnessed Bai Jue’s medical skills on Solak Island; he might have a solution.

Bai Jue?

Shen Hao’s eyes lit up, interjecting, “Madam has already called Bai Jue on her way to the hospital; he should be arriving in Beijing soon.”

Having witnessed Bai Jue’s handling of Jian Qing’s previous car accident, Rhee and the others were aware of Bai Jue’s superior medical skills compared to Fu Heng.

Suddenly, everyone’s hopes were pinned on Bai Jue.

“So how is Jingwu doing now?” Quan Hao asked.

“Boss is OK for now, he needs to be moved into the ward.” Fu Heng said.

Rhee let out a soft sigh, a trace of worry crossing her features.

How could something like this happen?

VIP Ward

A faint golden ray poured through the crack in the window, sprinkling onto the sleeping figure on the bed.

Under the sunlight, the woman’s delicate face held an unnatural pallor; her knitted brows suggested an uneasy sleep.

“Xiaojing!”

She suddenly sat upright, her breath erratic.

Mingxuan, who was sitting next to her, was startled and quickly walked to her bedside.

Mingxuan, seeing her forehead streaming with sweat, asked gently, “Jian Qing, are you OK?”

Jian Qing raised her eyes to look around the ward, her gaze cold. “Where is Xiaojing?”

“Jingwu was moved into the ward, Fu Heng said he is not in any significant danger now.” Mingxuan rushed to explain.

Upon hearing this, Jian Qing threw off the blanket and moved to get off the bed.

“Take me to him.”

“Jian Qing, Director Wan said you need proper rest now. Don’t forget, you carry yours and Jingwu’s children in your belly. Don’t you care about them?” Mingxuan held onto her shoulder, a hint of helplessness in his gaze.

He knew she was desperate, but now that she was carrying twins, even if she didn’t consider herself, she should at least think of the children.

Jian Qing covered her abdomen with her hand, a hint of numbness in her gaze.

How could she not want them? They were her and Xiaojing’s treasures; she could not bear to hurt them. But everything would be meaningless to her if Xiaojing were not there.

Her gaze hardened, breast slowly regaining calm. “I will take good care of myself, but at least it would be by his side.”

No matter what state he was in, she wanted to be with him.

Upon hearing this, Mingxuan slowly removed his hand, giving her a conflicted look. “He’s in the ward next door.”

“Thank you.”

Jian Qing got up and slowly walked out.

“Brother, the third sister-in-law needs to rest right now; how could you let her leave?” Yifei looked at Jian Qing’s retreating figure and disapprovedly turned her gaze to Mingxuan.

Mingxuan asked, “Can you stop her?”

“I…” Yifei was speechless.

“Leave it. Just let her go. You see, without seeing Jingwu, even if she stays here, she won’t be resting,” Mingxuan said as he stood up and walked out.

Next Door Ward

“Yi Kai, you should go back to the company for now. Xiao Lu and the others are abroad; even if they rush back, it won’t be until tonight. The company needs someone at the helm now,” Shen Hao said.

Yi Kai glanced at Quan Jingwu on the sickbed and nodded, “I’ll go first then. Call me if something happens.”

“Okay.”

As Yi Kai turned and walked out, he ran into Jian Qing.

“Madam!”

Jian Qing nodded and she stepped into the room.

“Little Qingqing, why are you out of bed?” Rhee got up and walked towards her as soon as she saw her come in.

Jian Qing replied, “Mom, I’m okay now.”

“Jingwu is over there,” Rhee, sensing her thoughts, pointed to a bed nearby, “Jingwu will get better. Until he wakes up, you must take good care of yourself and the child in your belly.”

Jian Qing nodded, quickly moving towards the sickbed.

“Let’s sit in the outer lounge,” Quan Hao said, motioning to his own wife after watching Jian Qing sit down by the bed.

Rhee and the others walked out together, with Shen Hao the last to leave, shutting the door carefully behind him.

Under the light, the man’s deep-set features were flawless. His enchanting purple eyes were tightly closed, making one yearn to see them open, wondering how much more captivating they would look. Even with the bandage around his head, it couldn’t conceal the noble and intimidating air that hovered around him.

Jian Qing extended her hand; her cold fingertips resting against the bandage on his forehead, softly stroking it. “Xiaojing, you said you’d only sleep for a bit. You wouldn’t lie to me, would you?”

Her soft voice carried a hint of a nasal tone.
