Chapter 685: 671, Experience comes from practice (1)_1 Chapter 685: 671, Experience comes from practice (1)_1 Chu Yihen did not expect to encounter Quan Jingwu and Jian Qing in R Country on a business trip. No wonder he hadn’t heard anything about them in Beijing these past few days; it turns out they had come here.

He shifted his gaze, locking onto the exquisite beauty of the woman standing in the light. Her brilliant smile was breathtakingly beautiful.

He admitted that he was jealous of Quan Jingwu, jealous that he could win Jian Qing so effortlessly, and even more jealous that her smile was reserved only for him.

“CEO, it’s almost time for your meeting with Chairman Fujino,” his assistant reminded him softly from the front seat.

Chu Yihen’s eyes deepened, and he rolled up the car window, blocking the dazzling scene. “Start driving,” he ordered.

“Okay, you can’t eat anymore.” Quan Jingwu watched her eat several meatballs without stopping, he took the skewer from her hand and closed the box.

Jian Qing looked at him longingly, or to be precise, coveted the box of meatballs in his hand. With a soft voice, she pleaded, “Xiaojing, there are still several left. It’s a waste not to eat them.”

Quan Jingwu shook his head, put the box away and pushed it away, “No more eating. You’ve already eaten half a box. If you keep eating, you’ll be bloated and your stomach will be uncomfortable.”

Jian Qing wrapped her arms around his, coquettishly shaking him, “That won’t happen, they’re just a few meatballs. They won’t fill me up. Let me have one more, just one more.”

Quan Jingwu gazed at her deeply, uttering softly, “After we left this morning, you’ve had pastries, sushi, noodles…”

With every word, Jian Qing’s head drooped a little lower.

Had she really eaten so much?

Wait, she was eating for two now, wasn’t she?

Remembering this, she lifted her head confidently, retorting, “The baby’s hungry too. Do you despise us for eating too much?”

Quan Jingwu gently rubbed her nose, his eyes filled with a helpless smile, “You know I worry about you overeating and deliberately contradict me, don’t you?”

“But I’m still not full, see for yourself.” She blinked, looked at him with innocent eyes, and took his hand to her belly, speaking earnestly.

“I’ll cook for you when we get home. It’s hygienic and healthier than eating all these street foods.” If it weren’t for her poor appetite these past few days, he wouldn’t have agreed to let her eat so much street food today.

Jian Qing’s eyes flashed mischievously, she nestled against his chest and rubbed against him lazily.

“Xiaojing, give me one more. I promise I’ll only have one more. Please?”

Her soft, tender voice, with a slight upward inflection, touched the softest part of Jingwu’s heart.

He raised his hand to stroke her long hair, and a mellow laughter escaped his lips, “I really can’t win against you, one last one.”

“Hmm.” She looked up, her eyes sparkling.

He took the box again, picked up a meatball, and held it to her lips. Jian Qing opened her mouth and bit down, finishing the ball in a few bites.

Quan Jingwu took a tissue to clean the traces from the corners of her mouth, leaned down and gave her a light peck, “Where else do you want to go?”

Jian Qing pursed her lips, thought for a moment, then reached into his pocket and took out his phone. Quan Jingwu watched her and raised his eyebrows.

“Xiaojing, look up.” She held up the phone high, the camera lens squarely aimed at them.

Quan Jingwu chuckled knowingly, and raised his head to oblige.

Just as she pressed the camera button, he turned his head and kissed her tender cheek. Jian Qing’s eyes were filled with laughter as the camera captured the moment.

“You surprise attacked me!” Jian Qing protested with amusement.

Quan Jingwu looked at the photo and smiled happily. He took the phone from her, and Jian Qing peered over to see him posting on Facebook.

Jian Qing was accustomed to his occasional PDA on Facebook. She looked up at the cherry blossoms falling on the roadside, a faint smile on her lips.

An idea struck her, and she whispered, “Xiaojing, after our child is born, can we all come together again?”

Having just finished posting on Facebook, Quan Jingwu heard her and agreed with a light press of his lips.

Thinking of what small gifts to bring home to their family, Jian Qing and Quan Jingwu spent the whole afternoon shopping. When it was almost dark, they finally returned home.

Jian Qing took off her coat and nestled comfortably in the sofa. Listening to the sounds coming from the kitchen, an idea suddenly occurred to her.

She slipped on her slippers and moved towards the kitchen.

Upon entering, the man’s tall figure was reflected in her eyes. Jian Qing lightened her footsteps and hugged him from behind.

“What’s the matter?”

As soon as she approached, Quan Jingwu knew she was there. A hint of a smile curled at the corners of his lips.

Peeking out from behind him, Jian Qing’s eyes sparkled with enthusiasm, “Xiaojing, how about I cook dinner tonight?”

“You?” Quan Jingwu paused in washing the vegetables, looking at her sidelong.

“Yes, me.”

Remembering the comments made by Jian Luo and others, Quan Jingwu dried his hands and turned to look at her leisurely, “How did you come up with the idea of cooking all of a sudden?”

“No reason, I just suddenly wanted to cook for you.” Jian Qing looked away, answering evasively.

She certainly wasn’t going to tell him that she had seen a shopkeeper cooking for her husband earlier that day, and remembered that she had never cooked for him before.

“Darling, your lying skills aren’t quite there yet.” Quan Jingwu chuckled softly, pulling her into his arms.

Jian Qing coughed lightly and pretended to be angry, glaring at him, “You don’t trust my culinary skills?”

“Darling, do you remember what you told me? That even a dog wouldn’t eat the food you cooked. Right?” Quan Jingwu said, trying to hide his laughter.

“…”

Jian Qing choked, she had almost forgotten about that.

She pushes him away and slipped out of his arms. “Times have changed. I’ve improved, you know.”

“Where’s this experience coming from, sweetheart?” Quan Jingwu’s eyes twinkled mischievously, taunting her with a laugh.

Jian Qing quickly countered, “From watching you cook.”

“Be a good girl and sit outside. In our home, I cook and you just need to eat.” Quan Jingwu stretched out his hand to pinch her cheek, but she dodged.

She hummed lightly. “You underestimate me.”

“You really want to do it?” Quan Jingwu found her determination both exasperating and amusing.

Jian Qing hummed in affirmation. Seeing his lack of faith in her, she smiled and held onto his arm,”Or how about this, I’ll just fry an egg. You can handle the rest.”

Regarding her culinary skills, some form of self-awareness remained.

No matter what, it would count as her having cooked for him.

Quan Jingwu assumed that even if she attempted to fry an egg, the worst-case scenario would be that it got slightly burnt. He nodded and agreed.

“I’ll teach you.”

“No need, it’s just frying an egg. I’ve done it before.” Though it had looked a little tragic.

“Then I’ll stay here with you.” He voiced his concerns.

“No need, I’ll be done quickly. You wait outside.” Saying this, Jian Qing pushed him out and closed the glass door behind him.
