Monopolize My Mysterious Wife -
Chapter 651 - 651 637 Call Maomao (2)_1
Chapter 651: 637, Call Maomao (2)_1 Chapter 651: 637, Call Maomao (2)_1 Chu Yihen held his temper, saying, “Mom, give me some time. I’ll handle it.”
His dark eyes silenced Jiang Fan’s concerns.
“Mom, if you’re okay, you should go back first. I have a meeting to attend.” Chu Yihen stood up and announced.
Jiang Fan picked up her bag, a bit hesitant, then she finally spoke up, “Yihen, Zhan Mingyan, from the Zhan Family, is back in Beijing. Why don’t you…”
“Mom, I’ll decide my own matters.” Chu Yihen interrupted her coldly.
“Yihen, the Zhan family isn’t inferior to our Chu family in both status and reputation. Your grandfather also thinks highly of Zhan Mingyan, you should consider…” Jiang Fan pressed further.
Having had issues with Ruohan recently, the Chu’s family’s reputation took quite a blow. A marriage alliance with the Zhan family would certainly be good news for them.
Moreover, his grandfather also shared this perspective, which was why she tried to test his reaction today.
Chu Yihen paused, turned to face Jiang Fan and said without any emotion, “Mom, I told you I’ll handle my own marriage. I do not like Zhan Mingyan. Let go of that idea.”
Jiang Fan frowned, discontentedly demanding, “Then who do you like, Jian Qing?”
She just couldn’t understand the charm of Jian Qing that drew her son like a magnet, disregarding his own sister.
In her opinion, Jian Qing was nothing but trouble, a vixen.
“Mom!” Chu Yihen raised his voice sharply.
Jiang Fan flinched at his shout, looking at him with despair, “Yihen, you put Ruohan in a mental hospital for Jian Qing before, and now will you abandon me, your mother who gave birth to you and raised you, for her?”
Chu Yihen remained silent, his face tense.
“Yihen, Jian Qing is already married. You two cannot be together, you should give her up, and stop messing with your life for her,” Jiang Fan continued, “Even if she weren’t married, she wouldn’t be suitable for you. She’s put our Chu family in this position, we can’t possibly accept her under any circumstances.”
Chu Yihen clenched both his fists, “Mom, let me say this one last time. I only want Jian Qing. I’m not considering any marriage partners.”
With his piece said, he turned around and walked out.
Jiang Fan watched his retreating figure, unwilling and insistent, “Yihen, the Zhan family is most suitable for our Chu family in terms of both social standing and prestige. Do not be foolish again for Jian Qing.”
Chu Yihen left without looking back. The sound of a slamming door echoed in the hallway.
…
In the blink of an eye, another year had passed.
People returned to work after the holiday, everything was back to normal.
After two weeks in the hospital, Xiya was ready to leave.
Early in the morning, she had Khan discharge her. Khan had no choice but to oblige.
In the back row, Xiya cradling the baby, looked up and noticed a familiar villa not far in the distance, she paused.
This didn’t seem to be the way to their home in Shijin Haoting?
It rather seemed like the way to his house.
“Hold on, Khan. Stop the car.”
Khan asked, “What’s wrong?”
Xiya replied, “Why are you bringing me here? I want to go back to Shijin Haoting.”
“Xiya, I told Jian Qing that you could move in with me. Everything is ready here, and I’ve already arranged for a postnatal care nurse.”
“You didn’t consult me, what gives you the right to make decisions for me?” If it weren’t for the baby, she would’ve snapped at him.
“Turn around. I want to go back to Shijin Haoting.”
What was the point of coming here? She’d be bored to death. At Shijin Haoting, at least she could visit Jian Luo and the others.
Besides, she and Khan weren’t married, why did she have to live his place?
“Xiya, listen to me. It’s not convenient for me to run back and forth looking after you and the baby if you stay there. As long as you’re willing to stay here, I promise I will listen to you on everything.” Khan pleaded while driving.
“Listen to everything I say?” Xiya questioned skeptically.
“Yes, as long as you agree to live with me.” Khan answered without hesitation.
Xiya looked at the baby in her arms, and thought for a moment before deciding, “Fine, but you promised to listen to all my demands, don’t back out later.”
Seeing her agree, a bright smile spread across Khan’s handsome face.
“Okay”
The last time she was here, the child hadn’t been born. And now, she was back again, this time with a newborn in her arms.
Looking at the room filled with toys, a stroller, and baby items everywhere, Xiya had to smile.
“Xiya, let me hold the baby. You can sit on the sofa.” After learning to take care of a newborn in the hospital, Khan could now confidently hold the baby with one arm.
He held the baby in one hand and helped Xiya with the other. She gave him a cold glance. Because she still had a wound on her abdomen, she had to walk slowly.
After helping her sit down on the sofa, he put the baby in a cradle, and then went to prepare some formula for the baby.
The cradle was on wheels. Xiya pulled it closer and gently touched the baby’s cheek.
“Maomao, are you hungry, hmm?”
‘Maomao’ was the nickname Xiya gave to the baby. When Jian Qing and her friends heard it, they couldn’t help but chuckle, with Bai Jue even straight up teasing her about her lack of imagination.
Carring a bottle of formula, Khan came over. It took him a while to accept the nickname ‘Maomao’
His baby girl was so adorable. How could she end up with such a nickname?
“Xiya, would you consider changing her nickname?”
Xiya gave him a slanted glance, adamantly replying, “No, I like this nickname. It’s good enough that you have a say in naming the baby. If you keep prattling on about it, I might just come up with another name for her.”
The baby’s nickname was given by Xiya, and the baby’s full name, Avila, was chosen by Khan.
Immediately, Khan surrendered, placating her with a smile, “No, no. I think the nickname Maomao is quite good.”
Xiya gave a small hum, acknowledging his understanding.
Khan picked up his adorable baby and sat down next to Xiya, skillfully placing the bottle to the baby’s mouth for her to suck on.
Xiya, on the other hand, lazily lay on the sofa, tenderly watching the baby.
Suddenly, her phone vibrated.
It was a video call from Jian Qing.
She quickly answered. On screen, Jian Qing wore a playful grin.
“Looks like the three of you are getting along quite well,” she teased.
Xiya rolled her eyes, “Oh, cut it out. Who told you we’re a family of three? Dear Jian, don’t jinx me, you’ll ruin my love life.”
Khan just chuckled at her comment.
“By the way, I should let you know, I’m going to R country in a few days, so I can’t drop by often.” Jian Qing said.
