Chapter 647: 633, Send to the slum to stay (1)_1 Chapter 647: 633, Send to the slum to stay (1)_1 “Enough, I don’t want to hear anymore.” Khan stood up, pulling her up with him, his gaze icy as he stared at her.

“You should consider yourself lucky that Xiya and the child managed to survive, otherwise you wouldn’t be standing here in one piece.”

Upon hearing Xiya was okay, Daisy’s heart filled with even more jealousy.

That bitch, Xiya, was so lucky. She had fallen into the river and yet, could still save her child. If only she had arranged for someone to beat her up back then.

It would be best if she had miscarried.

While these thoughts flashed through her mind, her eyes gleamed with a cold light. Before she could recover, Khan’s next words instantaneously pushed her into an abyss.

“Daisy, I won’t send you to prison. That would be letting you off too easily.”

“Khan, what… what do you mean by that?”

Looking at the fear in her eyes, Khan sneered coldly. “I don’t think you’ve experienced life in the slums before. Spend the rest of your days there, reflecting on your evil deeds.”

The word “slums” hit her like a ton of bricks, and Daisy’s face turned pale instantly.

She inadvertently envisioned beggars rummaging through trash cans for food, their unkempt appearance, ragged clothes, living like ants beneath the earth.

No, she didn’t want to, she absolutely didn’t want to live like that.

“Khan, you can’t do this to me. We were together once, you can’t be this cruel to me.” She babbled, tears and snot smeared together, creating a truly disgusting sight.

“If I had a choice, I’d wish I’d never met you.”Khan’s deep gaze flickered with coldness, his face expressionless.

Daisy froze, her eyes full of disbelief.

Khan glanced at his watch. Thinking about Xiya and their child in the hospital, he suddenly lost his patience.

He pulled out a small black bottle from his pocket, something he had specifically requested from Bai Jue.

He let go and Daisy, caught off guard, fell to the ground.

“Thud–”

The heavy thud made everyone wince in pain.

Khan squatted down, forcibly pulling her up by her collar, making her lift her head.

Daisy spotted the little black bottle in his hand, a bad feeling developing at the bottom of her heart. Ignoring the pain on her cheek, she cried,”Khan, I truly love you. Xiya herself admitted that the child she was carrying isn’t yours. Stop being so infatuated, let’s start over again, can’t we go back to the way we were?”

Unmoved, Khan popped open the bottle’s lid, gripped her chin and poured the contents directly into her mouth.

“No, don’t…”

Daisy struggled, the bitter taste of the medicine filling her mouth caused her to grit her teeth.

As he emptied the entire bottle, he released her and casually threw away the bottle.

“Cough cough–”

Daisy coughed violently, her face turning red as if trying to cough up the medicine.

“Khan, what did you give me? What was it?”

She looked up at him, asking in panic.

Khan stood up, looking down on her, his eyes filled with a hint of disdain.

He turned around without uttering a word, leaving her only with a cold back.

“Khan, don’t leave, don’t go!”

Daisy struggled to move, her gaze fixated on the figure that was moving further away. Her shrill voice echoed in the room.

As the door swung open, Khan paused to look at the man waiting outside.

“The rest is on you.”

The fluency of his French was icy, the words slipping out from between his lips.

The man gave a respectful nod, “Understood.”

The man then handed the car keys to Khan.

Khan took them, starting the car without looking back.

The sound of the engine rumbled, the blue sports car disappeared into the night.

After half a minute, the man turned and walked into the warehouse.

After dealing with Daisy, Khan hurried back to the hospital despite feeling tired from the journey.

The moment he pushed open the door to the ward, the scene before his eyes instantly softened his icy demeanor.

On the hospital bed, Xiya was sitting up against the pillow, playing with the baby in her arms, her beautiful eyes shimmering with maternal love.

“Little sweetheart, give mommy a smile.”

Her voice softened; it bore no resemblance to her usual careless demeanor.

Khan tiptoed, but still managed to catch her attention.

“I thought you had something to take care of. How come you’re back so soon.”

Khan grinned. “I finished what I needed to do, so I came back as soon as I could.”

Xiya seemed to understand, returning her focus back to the child in her arms.

Khan stood next to the bed, gazing down at the baby in her arms, his peach blossom eyes shimmering with unadulterated happiness.

Feeling Khan’s gaze, the little baby looked up. Her large eyes, so similar to Khan’s, blinked, melting his heart.

Just by looking at her eyes, who would dare say she wasn’t his child?

Xiya noticed her daughter was staring at Khan, leaving her speechless.

Could her little girl be a fangirl?

“Xiya, can I hold her?” Khan’s hopeful eyes met hers as he asked cautiously.

Xiya glanced at him, teasing, “Do you even know how to hold a baby?”

“I can learn if I don’t, I promise I’ll hold her securely,” Khan answered seriously.

“As if you want to drop her?” she snapped back deliberately.

Khan, “Of course not.”

He would hurt himself before letting any harm come to his little darling.

Xiya looked at him with scrutiny, then relaxed. “Fine, I’ll let you hold her, but you need to wash your hands first.”

Hearing this, Khan was delighted. He took off his cold coat and hurried to wash his hands.

Shortly after, he returned, sat down by the bed, and reached out for the baby.

“Hold her gently.” Xiya carefully placed the baby in his arms and guided him on the correct way to hold her.

Khan had never held a baby before, so when he held his daughter for the first time, his eyes started to mist.

He seemed stiff holding the baby, but he couldn’t stop grinning.

“You’re grinning like an idiot. You’re going to scare my little darling.” Xiya made a blunt comment.

Khan didn’t mind her words, he kept his grin, his fingertips gently touched the baby’s soft cheek.

“Baby girl, I’m your daddy.”

His voice barely above a whisper, not wanting to startle the treasure in his arms.

Xiya, hearing his words, was about to retort. But noticing the redness in his eyes, she swallowed her words.

She decided to let it pass. She had enough restraint to not quarrel with him this time.

Her little one’s chubby mouth was blowing bubbles. She stared at Khan, her big watery eyes turning with curiosity, seemingly intrigued by the man who was holding her.

“Daddy’s little darling, can you give Daddy a smile?” Khan tried to persuade the baby, his gentle voice sounding irresistible.

Xiya snickered. She had been trying to make her little darling smile for so long to no avail. He had fat chance.

She was about to say something sarcastic when suddenly, she felt like she had taken a massive blow.
