Chapter 620: 606, Bai Jue Surrounded by Beauties (3)_1 Chapter 620: 606, Bai Jue Surrounded by Beauties (3)_1 “Wen Ru, what you’re doing is against the law,” said the woman who had brought Quan Yifei and the others in earlier.

“Shut up,” Wen Ru snapped with a malicious glare, “If you don’t want to end up like them, you better stay out of it.”

Not everyone present was from a privileged background. Aside from Zhan Mingyan and Quan Yifei who had the most influential backgrounds, Wen Ru was next in line, giving her an intimidating hold over those alarmed by her family’s influence.

After all, it was in their best interest to remain neutral at this time and avoid offending one party by helping another.

“Mingyan, let’s get out of here.”

Quan Yifei realized the danger and attempted to make a quick escape with Zhan Mingyan.

“Stay where you are!”

Wen Ru quickly blocked them and locked the door.

Zhan Mingyan braced herself against the wall and grabbed a bottle of wine from the table, using it as a shield.

“Wen Ru, if you dare touch us, I swear I won’t let you go.”

“Yes,” Quan Yifei scoffed, “Wen Ru, don’t forget that this Dihao Bar is my elder brother’s territory. If you cause trouble here, you’re not only going against the Zhan Family, but also against our Quan Family. Think about that.”

Wen Ru burst into a deranged laughter, “Since I dared to do this, what’s there to fear? If you two were violated here, I’ll naturally record it. If you’re not afraid of your lascivious acts being seen by everyone, go ahead and take your revenge.”

She turned to the men beside her and ordered.

“What are you waiting for? Get them.”

“Dare you, and bear in mind whether the Quan family and Zhan family are ones you can provoke,” Quan Yifei warned, her gaze apprehensively following the men approaching them.

At the mention of the Quan family and Zhan family, the men hesitated.

“Wen Ru, as you dare to use such despicable methods, there’s no need for me to be polite,” Zhan Mingyan, with a sudden burst of energy, lunged at Wen Ru, brandishing the wine bottle at her head.

Her rapid actions caught everyone by surprise.

At least she had spent several years in the army and was far superior in physical combat than delicate Wen Ru.

Caught off guard, Wen Ru froze and before she could react, the wine bottle hit her head.

“Bang––”

The bottle shattered, and the heavy scent of wine permeated the air. A mixture of pale yellow liquid and bright red blood trickled down Wen Ru’s forehead.

“Sss––”

The spectators were flabbergasted.

Warm liquid flowed down Wen Ru’s cheek. Touching it, she saw her own blood.

“Ah!”

She screamed, her face distorting terribly.

“Zhan Mingyan!”

Discarding the shattered bottleneck, Quan Yifei seized the opportunity, pushed Wen Ru away, opened the door, and ran out with Zhan Mingyan.

Cornered, Wen Ru turned only to see Quan Yifei and Zhan Mingyan escaping. In shock, she ignored her injury and gave chase swiftly.

If she let Zhan Mingyan escape, she would not only gain nothing but also land herself in hot water.

“Zhan Mingyan, stop!”

The unforeseen turn of events left the observers in the private room speechless.

In the hallway, Quan Yifei sprinted with Zhan Mingyan. Lucky they had chosen Dihao today, or their chances of survival would be slim.

“Yifei, where are we going now?”

Having used up most of her energy in the assault, Zhan Mingyan was now pushing through on sheer determination.

“We’re going to my brother’s private room. It’s safe there.” Quan Yifei dragged her into the elevator just as Wen Ru arrived; the elevator doors closed just in time.

“That was exhausting.”

Inside the elevator, Quan Yifei slumped against the wall, panting heavily.

They had narrowly avoided falling victim to that vile Wen Ru.

“Mingyan, where’s your phone?”

Zhan Mingyan shook her head, “I left it in the private room.”

Quan Yifei sighed helplessly just as the elevator dinged to a stop.

“Let’s go, before we’re caught.”

She managed to stand up, pulled Zhan Mingyan along, and they continued their escape.

The hallway was eerily quiet; this floor was almost a private domain for Han Yue and his company, where outsiders usually did not tread.

They staggered along, leaning on the wall for support.

“Yifei, is your brother here today?”

Quan Yifei replied, “I don’t know. My brother seemed to have arranged to meet Brother Han Yue out somewhere. I don’t know if he made it here.”

“Zhan Mingyan, where do you think you’re going?”

While they were talking, Wen Ru had caught up with them.

Quan Yifei’s face hardened when she saw the private room was a few steps away. She pulled Zhan Mingyan and they ran towards it.

“Mingyan, hang on a bit more, we’re almost there.”

Once they reached their brother’s private room, they would be safe, and then they could notify her brother to come and fetch them.

Quan Yifei punched in the password at the door, and the tightly shut door beeped open.

“Mingyan, hurry in.”

She pushed Zhan Mingyan in ahead of her and hastily went in herself, shutting the door on Wen Ru.

Inside the private room, the chatters came to an abrupt stop.

Quan Mingxuan and his friends observed the two women who had just barged in. One of them looked oddly familiar to Quan Mingxuan.

“Yifei?”

Closing the door, and short of breath, Quan Yifei turned around and relaxed when she saw the people in the room.

“Brother!”

She collapsed to the floor, her mind finally relaxing, but a wave of dizziness followed.

Perceiving something was wrong, Quan Mingxuan promptly approached her.

He stooped down and touched her shoulder, “Yifei, what happened?”

“Brother, someone drugged us,” she feebly reported.

Quan Mingxuan’s handsome face darkened at that, “Who?”

“At the door, quickly get someone to catch her.” Quan Yifei pointed lethargically at the door and then, her eyelids heavy, passed out in Quan Mingxuan’s arms.

“Yifei!”

“Axuan, what happened?” Han Yue approached them, glanced at the unconscious Quan Yifei, his expression also souring.

“Someone drugged Yifei and her friend. Ayue, seal off Dihao. Don’t let anyone out,” Quan Mingxuan commanded in a low voice while cradling Quan Yifei in his arms.

Daring to attack the Quan Family was asking for trouble.

“I got it, you look after Yifei first.” Han Yue nodded, then turned to Zhan Mingyan, whose face was also deathly pale.

“Mingyan, were you drugged too?”

Zhan Mingyan’s eyes were locked onto the man on the couch surrounded by beautiful women, the sight a pang to her heart.

Bai Jue didn’t expect to run into Zhan Mingyan here. Under the lights, her face was unnaturally pallid, her lively eyes dimmed by a hint of desolation.
