Chapter 1061: 1046. Locke Side Story (15) Chapter 1061: 1046. Locke Side Story (15) “Eating so much ice cream, do you want to land in the hospital?”

Jian Luo stood up, directly confronting him, “Mind your own business.”

Wasn’t he ignoring him? Why bother with how much ice cream he’s eating.

“If I don’t care about you, who will?” Black Jack blurted out.

Jian Luo’s face showed surprise, and seeing his stunned look, Black Jack instantly lost his temper, “Sorry, I was in a bad mood the other day and was a bit harsh on you.”

He apologized, and Jian Luo’s anger dissipated instantly. He snorted, “A bit harsh? You were really rude.”

Hearing this, Black Jack finally smiled, “Then let me make it up to you, I’ll join you at the shooting range later, and I’ll treat you to dinner tonight.”

“Didn’t you just say you were going back to Y Country?” He had a good memory,

Black Jack replied, “Going back two days later doesn’t matter, especially since someone here failed their German exam again, and I have to stay to help him cram.”

Jian Luo’s face turned red—how had his sister spilled the beans on him again?

After this little spat, the two were on good terms again.

Jian Luo seemed to remember something, raising his eyes to Black Jack, “Oh right, you and that Lis…”

“There’s nothing between us,” Black Jack said patiently, recalling Jian Qing’s words. “And there won’t be anything in the future.”

Getting angry with Jian Luo, this dummy, only made him frustrated.

Jian Luo acknowledged with an ‘oh’, the corners of his mouth unconsciously turning up.

“Then I’ll send a message to Bai Jue to hurry over.”

Black Jack watched the person texting, a hint of helplessness crossing his profound gaze.

Jian Luo, Jian Luo, you really are my nemesis.

The July weather was so hot it left people gasping for air.

On the basketball court, the game was in full swing.

“Jian Luo, Jian Luo, Jian Luo…”

In the basketball court stands, a group of girls excitedly chanted Jian Luo’s name, their eyes sparkling with big hearts as they watched the tall, lean figure on the court.

“Black Jack, if you wanted to watch a basketball game, you could’ve just come by yourself. Why drag me into this? Can’t you feel sorry for the guy who just got off the plane at midnight?” Bai Jue sat in the stands, hands behind his head, speaking in a plaintive tone.

Black Jack’s deep eyes focused on the white figure sprinting back and forth on the court, looking even taller in his loose sportswear.

With long arms skillfully handling the ball, Jian Luo took a leap and the basketball left his hands, tracing a beautiful parabola in the air.

“Thud—” The ball smashed through the hoop, a stunning three-pointer.

Time seemed to freeze for a few seconds before an uproar of cheers burst from the basketball court.

Jian Luo’s chestnut hair, wet with sweat, glistened under the sunlight, and his pale lips curved slightly upward in a faint smile that set off a surge of screams from the girls in the stands.

“Tsk, tsk, it looks like Jian Luo’s popularity is on the rise,” Bai Jue commented, glancing at the person next to him as if it were an afterthought.

Black Jack, listening to the screams around him, furrowed his brows and kept his gaze fixed on the boy chatting with others on the court, his eyes darkening.

“Let’s go.”

He stood up, casually grabbing a bottle of mineral water.

Bai Jue whistled, then flashed a meaningful smile.

After the game, Jian Luo was surrounded by a group of girls before he could step off the basketball court.

Drinks and towels kept being offered to him, but Jian Luo thanked them without accepting, “Sorry, please make way.”

He squeezed out of the throng and ran towards Black Jack and Bai Jue, standing in the shade of the trees, still overwhelmingly hot.

“Why are you two here, when did you get back?”

Black Jack handed him a towel, “You don’t sound like you wanted us to come.”

“Don’t twist my words,” Jian Luo wiped his sweat and said irritably.

Bai Jue teased, “Jian Luo, it seems like you’re having a great time without us, surrounded by beauties. You lucky dog.”

Jian Luo, “The lucky one should be you.”

“Here you go.” Black Jack casually tossed a bottle of mineral water to him, and Jian Luo caught it with a grin, twisted off the cap, and took several big gulps.

“I’m free after this, wanna hit the racetrack?” Jian Luo asked while drinking water.

Bai Jue waved him off, “No thanks, I’m going back to catch up on some sleep.”

“Let’s go, head back first,” Black Jack said.

Jian Luo crushed the bottle and then threw it into the trash can, quickly catching up with them.

But before he had taken two steps, a wave of dizziness surged up, and the figures of Black Jack and Bai Jue started to blur.

He clutched his head, then suddenly everything went dark, and he fell to the side.

Black Jack wondered why he hadn’t caught up, turned his head, and the sight that met his eyes was him falling down.

“Jian Luo!”

His face turned pale with shock, and he hurried over.

Seeing this, Bai Jue was also startled and squatted down to check on Jian Luo, “Black Jack, he’s got heatstroke, we need to get back to the Manor.”

Black Jack uttered an acknowledgment, quickly picked him up, and ran toward the parking lot.

By the time Jian Luo woke up, it was already evening.

The clouds in the sky were burning with the last traces of crimson with abandon.

He pinched the bridge of his nose and slowly sat up.

At that moment, the sound of a door opening was heard.

Black Jack entered through the door and seeing that he was awake, walked over quickly.

“Awake?”

Jian Luo hummed, his voice a bit hoarse, “What happened to me?”

“You had heatstroke,” Black Jack said as he poured a glass of water and handed it to him.

As Jian Luo drank the water, he asked, “Did you bring me back here?”

“What else?” Black Jack sat on the edge of the bed, “Did you teleport yourself back here instantly?”

Jian Luo was silent, that cold joke was really cold.

He put down the water glass, lifted the covers, and got out of bed.

Black Jack, “Where are you going?”

“I’ve barely eaten all day, I’m starving, I’m going to look for food,” Jian Luo said as he put on his shoes and stood up.

Downstairs, Jian Qing was talking business with Bai Jue when they heard footsteps, and both of them looked towards the stairwell simultaneously.

“Luo Luo, feeling better?” Jian Qing asked.

Jian Luo leaped down the stairs in two or three steps and bounced on the spot twice, “I’m fine.”

“Jian Luo, you need to work on your stamina, getting heatstroke just from a basketball game, that’s pretty weak,” Bai Jue joked, seeing that he was all right.

Jian Luo couldn’t be bothered to argue with him and headed to the kitchen to look for food.

Jian Qing glanced at Black Jack following him and a deep meaning flashed in her eyes, then she casually withdrew her gaze.

After he and Black Jack got their marriage certificate, Jian Luo didn’t deliberately announce their marriage to the public. As far as he was concerned, as long as the people close to him understood and supported them, the opinions of others didn’t affect them at all.

As for whether news of their marriage would leak, he left it to fate.

Both of them, one an earl of the Sophallo Family and the other a globally famous designer known as March, had status that ensured they had a massive amount of work every day.

Black Jack returned to the Fortress from a business trip in R Country, and by the time he arrived, it was already late at night.
