Chapter 1043: 1028, Jue and Zhan’s Couple Extra (27) Chapter 1043: 1028, Jue and Zhan’s Couple Extra (27) Zhan Mingyan hurriedly wanted to pack it away, but Bai Jue snatched it first.
“Why pack it away? It’s perfect. We can slowly try them out tonight. Let’s not waste their kindness,” he said with a smile.
Zhan Mingyan blushed. Even a person who’s usually bold and unrestrained has a shy side, thought Bai Jue, finding it quite rare.
“If you want to try them out, you can do it yourself.”
Having said that, she tried to run away.
No matter how fast she was, she couldn’t outpace Bai Jue.
He circled her from behind, his cool hands firmly enveloping her soft ones. “I remember someone promised to give me a brood of little monkeys,” he reminded her.
Zhan Mingyan’s gaze fell, and she bit her lip without a word.
“Little Yannyan, it’s time to fulfill your promise. Let’s start working on it tonight,” he said, tilting his head to press his lips against her fair neck, causing her to shiver slightly.
Zhan Mingyan felt a current rush through her body, leaving her unable to move.
By the time she came to her senses, she was already on the bed, her nightgown nowhere in sight.
Zhan Mingyan’s face turned red. She reached for the blanket but was stopped by the man. Bai Jue took her hand and kissed her lips.
Their fingers interlocked, the intimate atmosphere rising steadily.
Suddenly, the crystal chandelier above dimmed, leaving only the warm yellow light from the bedside lamp.
“Mmm…”
A low moan drifted out, and Bai Jue, like a beast unleashed, transformed his tender kisses into ones that were domineering and forceful.
On that romantic night, the lovers finally came together!
After a night of passion, Zhan Mingyan woke up feeling as if she had been taken apart and reassembled, finding it hard to even lift her hand.
She curled up in the blanket, half-awake, while the man standing by the bed was already neatly dressed, picking out clothes for her.
On their first day of marriage, Zhan Mingyan lived the life of an empress dowager.
She was waited on hand and foot, utterly pampered.
After returning from Bali Island, the couple stayed at the Zhan Family residence for a few days before embarking on their honeymoon.
Before they left, Lu Hui specifically urged them to bring back a honeymoon baby, which almost made Zhan Mingyan want to hide in a hole.
After the honeymoon, just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lu Hui had been adamantly reminding them to come back for the holiday.
And here they were, arriving early in the morning with arms full of bags.
“It’s good to have you back. Why did you buy so much stuff?” Hearing the sound of the car, Lu Hui walked out quickly, her face breaking into a smile at the sight of Bai Jue and Zhan Mingyan unloading items from the trunk.
The number of gifts didn’t matter; it was the thought that counted.
“Mom, Bai Jue bought so many boxes of mooncakes, we won’t need to buy any more for this Mid-Autumn Festival,” Zhan Mingyan said, giving Lu Hui a big, happy hug.
“You don’t need to buy so many boxes just to give away as gifts,” Lu Hui said, amused and bewildered at the sight of nearly a dozen boxes of mooncakes on the ground.
Zhan Mingyan added, “I did say so, but Bai Jue wouldn’t listen. He bought so many that people might think he’s wholesaling them.”
In addition to mooncakes, there was also a plethora of tonics.
It felt like the couple had become personal shoppers.
Lu Hui called the servant to bring the things inside and saw Bai Jue lifting a large crate from the trunk, which left her speechless. “Bai Jue, what else did you buy?”
“These are wines Bai Jue brought back from M Country, for Grandpa and Dad,” Zhan Mingyan explained. When she visited Bai Jue’s home in M Country and saw a whole wall filled with various precious wines, she finally understood why Jian Qing had mentioned that Bai Jue’s place had a mini wine cellar.
Lu Hui exclaimed, “There’s so much?”
Bai Jue was holding a large box, grinning as he said, “Mom, it’s not much, next time Yanyan and I return to M Country, we’ll bring some more over.”
Lu Hui was amused by him, “Don’t, drinking too much alcohol is harmful to your health, and you shouldn’t drink too much either.”
“Exactly, did you hear that?” Zhan Mingyan, linking arms with her own mother, proudly lifted her chin towards Bai Jue.
Bai Jue hooked his lips into a smile, “At your command!”
As soon as they entered the house, the elder Mr. Zhan was circling around Bai Jue, or more accurately, around the box of fine wines that Bai Jue had brought.
As for Zhan Mingyan, she was pulled into the bedroom by Lu Hui to whisper about mother-daughter secrets.
“Mom, why did you pull me into the bedroom?”
“Other people’s honeymoons last at most a month, but you two have been on your honeymoon for over three months.” Lu Hui affectionately held her hand, winking playfully, “So, any good news yet?”
“What are you talking about?” Zhan Mingyan’s cheeks turned slightly red.
“What, you don’t know?” Lu Hui became more straightforward, “I mean, when can I become a grandmother?”
Zhan Mingyan covered her face, “Mom!”
“Why are you still shy with mom, are you pregnant or not?” It wasn’t that Lu Hui was impatient; it was just that every time she met with Rhee, and saw Seventeen and Nineteen, her heart would nearly melt.
Zhan Mingyan, “No, not yet.”
“Then you two should hurry up. Jian Qing is already on her second child, and you guys are way too slow,” Lu Hui complained.
“Bai Jue seems to be calling me, I’ll go downstairs to check on them.” Zhan Mingyan, seeing her mother hastening for a grandchild, quickly got up and ran out.
“Yanyan!” Lu Hui walked to the door, but Zhan Mingyan was already out of sight.
After spending the Mid-Autumn Festival in Beijing, Bai Jue and Zhan Mingyan didn’t stay for many days before the couple took off abroad once again.
In Switzerland, the two of them even ran into Xiya and her family of three.
Zhan Mingyan looked at the man riding the jet ski not too far away, her lips curving into a happy smile.
“Tsk tsk, you’re practically turning into a lovesick stone,” Xiya glanced at her, lifting her juice to take a couple of sips.
“Speaking of which, when are you two planning on having kids?”
Zhan Mingyan bit her lip lightly, “Actually…”
Seeing her hesitation, Xiya scooted closer, her gaze sweeping over Zhan Mingyan’s flat abdomen, “Don’t tell me, you’re pregnant?”
Zhan Mingyan looked at her in surprise, “You…”
She must have mind-reading powers.
Given her reaction, Xiya became even more certain.
“When did it happen, does Bai Jue know?”
Zhan Mingyan covered her mouth, shushing her.
“I only found out this morning myself.”
Her period was several days late, and though she’d experienced this before and hadn’t paid it any attention, this morning she felt a bit unwell and wanted to vomit. That’s when she took her own pulse and, not entirely trusting it, had sneakily bought a pregnancy test to try.
And it really was positive.
“You’re a doctor yourself and still so clueless,” Xiya said with a laugh, “And Bai Jue, that fool, didn’t even notice his own wife was pregnant. You two really are a match made in heaven.”
Zhan Mingyan smiled.
“Then why don’t you tell him?” Xiya looked up at Bai Jue, who was racing jet skis with Khan, and asked.
Zhan Mingyan answered, “I haven’t figured out how to tell him yet.”
