Chapter 96: Chapter 96: You blocked me for so long, and now you’re finally willing to unblock me...

Melody Parker wasn’t foolish; she surely didn’t believe that everyone was taken aback by her appearance as they watched her leave.

Although she was indeed beautiful, it was clear that their gazes meant something else entirely.

It seemed that this guy put on too good of an act normally.

If it weren’t for his deliberate "women keep away" demeanor and those rumors outside,

these people wouldn’t react as if they’d discovered an earth-shattering secret just because she stood a little closer to him. fr\(e)ew(e)b.(n)o (v)(e)l.com

Yet, why did she feel a small sense of pride under such scrutiny?

Soon enough, the private elevator the two of them were on reached the underground garage.

Adrian Davies and Melody Parker walked out of the elevator.

Ned Faris, in his black suit, stood straight beside the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

As soon as he saw Adrian Davies and Melody Parker approaching, he immediately opened the back door.

"Director!"

Adrian Davies and Melody Parker got into the car, Ned Faris closed the door, and quickly entered the driver’s seat up front.

"What do you feel like eating? Western or Chinese?" Adrian Davies asked Melody Parker after settling in.

Melody Parker smiled gently and said, "Anything is fine. Since I’m dining with Director Davies, I’ll go with what he prefers."

"Alright." Adrian Davies nodded and instructed Ned Faris, "Go to Blooming Dreams."

"Yes, Director." Ned Faris acknowledged while starting the car.

Melody Parker was familiar with Blooming Dreams.

It was a renowned private dining Chinese restaurant with a strict membership policy in River City.

No one knew who the owner was, but those who frequented it were all prestigious members of high society.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped in front of Blooming Dreams.

Adrian Davies and Melody Parker got out of the car and walked into Blooming Dreams side by side.

As a first-time visitor, Melody Parker instantly fell in love with the place as soon as she stepped inside.

The decor was elegantly traditional, a perfect representation of classical charm, unlike the spacious and minimalistic European style.

With small bridges over flowing water, the scenery was ancient and charming.

With pavilions and gauzy curtains, the setting was beautifully surreal.

Melody Parker thought to herself that the owner must be a poetic and beautiful woman full of artistic flair.

The two entered a private room, and through the uniquely designed classical window drapes, they admired the distant scenery and listened to the melodious music, while enjoying the delicious traditional cuisine. They found themselves unconsciously relaxing.

After dinner, the two of them came out together.

Ned Faris had already driven the car over.

Adrian Davies’ dark eyes looked at Melody Parker, "Let’s go, I’ll take you home."

Checking the time and seeing it was still early, Melody Parker politely declined, "No need, Director Davies. How about you head back first? I still have something to do and won’t be returning for now."

Adrian Davies frowned slightly upon hearing this, "Where are you going at this hour?"

Melody Parker looked at Adrian Davies and smiled, "The chief designer of ’Encounter’ is my best friend, and since ’Encounter’ was such a success, I want to celebrate with her."

Adrian Davies’ frown eased as he looked at Melody Parker and asked, "Where to?"

Melody Parker thought Adrian Davies wanted to drop her off at the celebration location, so she replied, "Any pub will do."

Then she continued looking at Adrian Davies, "There’s no need for you to take me, Director Davies. I’ve arranged to meet Luna, and we’ll just grab a cab over."

Adrian Davies’ expression hardened, "We’ll go together."

Melody Parker: "..."

Isn’t she supposed to celebrate with her best friend?

What’s he going to do tagging along?

Doesn’t he think it would be awkward?

Seeing Melody Parker’s speechless expression, Adrian Davies coldly said, "What, I can’t?"

Melody Parker chuckled awkwardly, "Of course you can, Director Davies. Celebrating with Luna together is a great honor for her."

Kidding, she’d already upset him by helping Luna this time, so how could she dare to say no?

Adrian Davies was quite satisfied with Melody Parker’s response, his dark eyes looking directly at her, "Go contact your friend and let her know to head to CC Pub."

Without waiting for Melody Parker’s response, Adrian Davies had already taken out his phone, removed Malcom Moore from the blacklist, and dialed his number.

The phone barely rang once before Malcom Moore picked up swiftly, "Adrian, really? You’ve had me blacklisted for so long, and now you finally decided to remove me?"

Adrian Davies ignored Malcom Moore’s question and coldly stated, "Prepare the private room, I’ll be there shortly."

Without waiting for Malcom Moore’s reply, he added, "When I arrive, don’t let me see anything inappropriate."

Since Adrian Davies had him blacklisted for making too many calls, Malcom Moore dared not provoke him anymore and replied cheerfully, "Adrian, don’t worry. I’ll roll out the red carpet and wait for your grand arrival."

"Okay," Adrian Davies responded, hanging up the phone immediately.

While Adrian Davies was on the phone, Melody Parker also contacted Serena Sterling, telling her about the plan to celebrate at CC Pub.

Serena Sterling readily agreed and said she would head there immediately.

After hanging up, Melody Parker looked at Adrian Davies, who had finished his call, "Let’s go, Luna is leaving from home, so by the time we get there, she should be about ready to arrive too."

...

At CC Pub, after finishing the call, Malcom Moore immediately had his private room cleaned up once more.

Once the room was tidied, and drinks were ordered, Malcom Moore relaxedly waited inside for Adrian Davies’ grand arrival.

Ten minutes later, Adrian Davies and Melody Parker arrived at CC Pub, directly pushing the private room door open as they entered.

Seeing the two enter together, Malcom Moore asked in shock, "Adrian, Melody, why are you together?"

Adrian Davies’s dark eyes coldly stared at Malcom Moore, "Is there a problem with us being together?"

Malcom Moore: "..."

Can he even say it might be a problem?

Melody Parker smiled softly at Malcom Moore, "Young Master Morris, I’m here to celebrate with my best friend today, so..."

Before Melody Parker could finish, Malcom Moore asked, "Your best friend? You mean Miss Sterling will be here too?"

Melody Parker nodded, "Yes."

"Does she know it’s this private room?" Malcom Moore asked and then kindly offered, "Why don’t I inform someone to guide her here directly?"

Melody Parker shook her head, "No need, she’ll call me when she gets here."

"That’s too much hassle; I’ll just inform them," Malcom Moore said, preparing to go out and arrange it.

Just then, Serena Sterling pushed the door open and walked in.

Malcom Moore’s dark eyes lit up intensely upon seeing Serena Sterling.

This girl was no longer the frail one who had fainted from crying in front of her father’s coffin.
