Chapter 574: Chapter 62: Catastrophe
Just as Hua Cai was in despair, a loud noise came from the sky. Then an elven guard stumbled forward, "Your Majesty, it’s not good, our protective array has been breached!"
The Elf King coldly stared at Hua Cai, "You wretched woman, you actually have accomplices? Great Elf Elder, take people and capture her!"
The Great Elf Elder, who was still absorbing Hua Cai’s power, naturally refused, "Such a trivial matter can be left to subordinates to handle."
The Elf King ignored him, tacitly approving this approach. The elves had a deep foundation. Although there were no demigods, it would still take considerable effort for an external demigod to reach the royal court, and this delay was enough for them to completely drain Hua Cai, completing their transformation.
Unfortunately, before this Great Elf Elder could arrange his deployment, a sharp screech exploded in everyone’s ears.
A trace of hope ignited in Hua Cai’s desperate heart. Was someone here to save her? Was it that little fellow Lu Hong?
Hua Cai’s guess was soon confirmed as Lu Hong stood on Di Ti’s back, his face somber.
How could Lu Hong not see what was happening before him? Already disliking the elves, his disdain now grew into complete loathing.
"Damn it!" Lu Hong summoned the War Holy Sword, preparing to unleash its power.
"Lord Di Ti, please help me rescue the Hua Cai Heavenly God."
Since he was already involved, there was no way for Di Ti to stay out of it, so he flapped his wings, sending countless golden feather arrows raining down on the elf court.
Without needing orders from the Elf King, tens of thousands of elven soldiers mobilized their magic power, erecting a giant net of woven vines to protect the court.
Although Di Ti’s feather arrows were sharp, they could not penetrate this layer of defense.
"They’ve mobilized the power of the royal court, and such a Divine Artifact can’t be moved easily in a short time," Di Ti, somewhat knowledgeable about the elven court, acknowledged. This ancient artifact’s extraordinary function was a crucial reason why the elves survived despite their decline.
At the same time, countless elven armies surrounded them from all directions. Each elf was skilled with a bow and Magic, making them adept at dealing with a flying demon beast like Di Ti.
The royal court was formidable, and Di Ti couldn’t break through it quickly. Lu Hong, seeing the weary and aging Hua Cai, knew she couldn’t hold on for long. There was only one way now: to forcefully break through the Second Transition and use Bloodthirst’s power to shatter it!
Lu Hong, already close to the Second Transition, saw the densely gathering elven army around him. If he could slaughter them all, breaking through to the Second Transition would not be a problem.
Powered by his charged energy, a disquieting wave emanated from Lu Hong’s extremity, which the Elf King keenly perceived and immediately commanded, "Assemble the elven warriors into a defensive array and block this attack!"
"Block? What can you use to block my minutes-long charged energy?!" Lu Hong shouted as the War Holy Sword carved out a magnificent arc.
The attack unleashed at this moment, and its silver-gray Sword Qi, like the scythe of death, mercilessly reaped the lives of elven soldiers.
With this wave of slaughter, Lu Hong’s level smoothly ascended to the First Transition’s peak, but he was still a step away from the Second Transition.
In urgent circumstances, Lu Hong couldn’t concern himself with anything else. He switched to the Blood Holy Sword, delivering a Heaven Slaying strike down upon the elven army outside the court’s protection.
Another powerful Skill appeared, making the Elf King tremble. The elves did possess such a killing Divine Artifact, but all of them were within the court. With a demigod demon beast lurking outside the court, he could only watch as his people were mercilessly slaughtered, powerless to do anything, "Kid, you wait, once I break through to the demigod realm, I’ll grind your bones to dust!"
Saying this, the Elf King issued orders again for the elven army to flee. Using them against the demigod demon beast and Lu Hong, who wielded the slaughtering Divine Artifact, was not feasible, so it was better not to senselessly sacrifice anyone.
"Too late." Lu Hong grinned, and as he spoke, the sky turned crimson, with a blood-red shadow of a Divine Sword slowly descending from the clouds.
Lu Hong’s level successfully transformed from the First Transition, once again stepping into the realm of the Angry Blood Warrior’s Second Transition.
Even though he had just reached the Second Transition, the vigor and blood he possessed now were already at the level of the Second-Transformation Peak.
The Divine Sword’s shadow shattered upon contact with Lu Hong, transforming into a blood-colored divine light, which condensed into four large characters that hovered above.
Bloodlord!
The Elf King’s face was full of shock—the title "lord," a representative of the gods, was exceedingly rare even during the Era of the Gods. Such individuals often wielded powers beyond their level, bestowed by the gods, manifesting divine might.
Having ascended to the Second Transition again and acquired the title, Lu Hong now experienced something different. He fully sensed the blessing and augmentation from the title.
The Judgment mark engraved on his chest emitted searing heat, and the seed of rage instantly ignited Lu Hong.
The Bloodthirst Skill was activated once more, with a blood-red dragon roaring as it dove into Lu Hong’s body.
Feeling the strong summons from the Judgment Dual Blades, Lu Hong decisively recalled the Holy Sword and grabbed towards his chest with both hands.
The dual blades were pulled out from Lu Hong’s chest cavity.
Accompanied by the emergence of Judgment, a blood-colored tempest, with Lu Hong as its center, swept across the world.
Even Di Ti was incredulous, "He was only at the early stage of the Second Transition, yet this power surpasses that of a demigod. Who would dare believe it without witnessing it?"
Holding Judgment, radiating qi and blood that pierced the heavens, was not enough to ensure the complete destruction of the royal court’s protection, divine light descended once more.
"Heavenly God Descends!"
Mastering three great powers, Lu Hong grinned at the Elf King, "Old thing, today we’ll settle our old and new scores together!"
With that said, he leaped off Di Ti’s back, the Judgment Dual Blades spewing flames of anger, fiercely striking down upon the court’s protection.
Only a massive sound was heard as blood-colored flames filled everyone’s vision, and the Elf King was too frightened to breathe.
When the bloody light receded, the court’s protection still remained.
"Hahaha, hahaha," the Elf King forced the heart that had risen to his throat back into his chest, "Such a flashy display! I knew you couldn’t break my race’s artifact. Under the protection of my elven ancestors, you’re just a jumping clown!"
But in the next second, Lu Hong’s voice came from behind him.
"Is that so?"
The Elf King was instantly drenched in cold sweat, looking back only to find himself already beheaded, with his head rolling to the Great Elf Elder’s feet.
Simultaneously, the court’s array exploded, vanishing into thin air.
Witnessing all that had happened, Hua Cai’s eyes were now filled with Lu Hong. For countless years, it was the first time she felt the warmth of being protected. This feeling was... strangely wonderful, comforting, and she found herself infatuated with it.
Following the swift death of the Elf King, the remaining elven powerhouses could no longer hold out, abandoning their absorption of Hua Cai’s power and fleeing in all directions.
"Can you escape? Return all of Hua Cai’s power to me!" Lu Hong shouted as a tidal wave of blood poured down like a river from the heavens, engulfing these greedy strong ones.
"Explode!"
With Lu Hong’s will, the Blood River burst forth, causing the heavens and earth to change color once more.
Not one of those who had absorbed Hua Cai’s power escaped. After killing them all, Lu Hong isolated their qi and blood, reverberating it into the array that suppressed Hua Cai.
Hua Cai’s complexion swiftly blushed, once more restoring her past elegance.
Lu Hong brandished Judgment, forcefully slashing down on the array that imprisoned Hua Cai.
With a clang, the array shattered.
Seeing Hua Cai escape her predicament, Lu Hong could no longer hold on and collapsed.
Hua Cai reacted quickly, pulling Lu Hong against her chest, cradling him with affection in her eyes, murmuring softly, "Little fellow, I seem to have really fallen in love with you, what should I do?"
Witnessing the Elf King and all the high-ranking elders being wiped out, the remaining elven soldiers had no courage to fight against a few individuals and wished they had wings to escape faster.
Di Ti descended before Hua Cai, asking, "Are you the Heavenly God from the Eternal Continent?"
"Yes, thank you for your assistance," Hua Cai expressed her gratitude to Di Ti.
"No need for thanks," Di Ti continued, "Do you happen to know An Hou?"
"An Hou?" Hua Cai nodded, "I’ve crossed paths with it."
"Really?!" Di Ti became excited again, "Is An Hou really on your Eternal Continent?"
"It’s not on the Eternal Continent, but it’s not far. If you wish to see it, I can lead the way for you."
Di Ti nodded, "I agreed to accomplish something for Lord Lu. Once that is done, I will head to the Eternal Continent."
"Alright," Hua Cai condensed a ball of light and placed it on Di Ti’s forehead, "In here are the recorded routes from Shen En to the Eternal Continent, hoping to see you soon. Hua Cai shall welcome you with open arms."
After administering the Eldertree Dew to Lu Hong, there was no longer any need to worry about his injuries, so he was entrusted to Di Ti’s care.
As the saying goes, even a clay figure has a temper, not to mention Hua Cai’s supreme status. The humiliation she endured entering the Elf Royal Court was truly unacceptable, so an outlet was necessary, naturally targeting the other fleeing elves.
For two consecutive days, Hua Cai ceaselessly unleashed her fury in the territory of the elves, and when Lu Hong was about to awaken, she returned to the royal court, satisfied.
At this point, the elven kingdom completely collapsed. Though many elves escaped death, once outside the royal court, in the war-torn planes of Shen En, they were fated to become the casualties of others’ blades.
