After this great war, Konstantin reflected deeply on the pain and, in union with many of his high officials, formulated new methods for the administration of his subordinate planes to tighten control and prevent similar incidents from happening again.

As for the Beastman Empire, not having suffered any losses during the Tide of Naga, now was their prime opportunity to wage war and unify the Continent of God’s Grace.

The Sacred Empire and the Snowy Region were essentially on guard against a sudden strike from the Beastman Empire, but Tai’e didn’t act on it, suppressing countless petitions within his court urging for war.

The reason for Tai’e’s restraint was known only to the Gold Lion and the war instructor Balay. For the Beastman Empire, something far more important than waging war to unify God’s Grace was at hand:

This matter goes back three years. Three years ago, during a routine inspection of a plane, the Gold Lion detected something amiss. The normally docile demon beasts had all become irritable and had grown significantly in strength, which caught the Gold Lion’s attention. After a detailed investigation, it was discovered that these demon beasts had experienced breakthrough growth far exceeding their original limitations.

The Gold Lion stayed in this plane for several months, and even in his dreams, he felt the call of an ancient will, prompting a breakthrough in his Lionheart bloodline.

This was no small matter; such a spontaneous advancement was crucial for the Lionheart royal family.

The Gold Lion urgently reported his findings to Tai’e in a nighttime missive.

Tai’e left the Continent of God’s Grace upon receiving the message and arrived at this plane. During a year-long investigation, Tai’e’s once lifeless bloodline revived and his strength broke through, propelling him to become a true demigod.

Then, war instructor Balay, hearing the news, rushed over with other members of the Lionheart royal family.

However, unlike Tai’e and the Gold Lion, they didn’t experience a breakthrough. Tai’e deduced that the ancient breath that facilitated their advancement was from the world itself and had been intentionally intercepted, preventing its further dissemination.

"Father," the Gold Lion pushed open the study door and approached Tai’e.

"Have you found anything?" Tai’e asked this question every day, a practice he hadn’t missed for years.

"We have."

Today, at last, Tai’e received the answer he had been seeking.

"Tell me." Calming his excitement, Tai’e listened attentively.

"In a region controlled by the Sacred Empire, there’s an Abyss of Extreme Demons guarded by the empire’s two strongest legions, the Demon Hunters and Demon Slayers. Highly secretive in location, according to intelligence returned by spies, the demonic variations within this plane surpass all others. It is undoubtedly the source of the breath you spoke of."

"Abyss of Extreme Demons..." Tai’e repeated, pondering, yet finding no memory of such a place.

"Send more people, ensure a thorough investigation!"

Another month passed, and with the full force of the Beastman Empire, the true nature of the Abyss of Extreme Demons was finally revealed to Tai’e.

Clutching the investigation report, Tai’e’s expression darkened, "The Human Race! Shameless Human Race! They’ve dared to sever the Beastman Empire’s lifeline of a million years!"

"Father, we should strategize for the long term," advised the Gold Lion. "Following the Tide of Naga, the Human Race is weak, and it’s the perfect time for us to strike, to seize the Abyss of Extreme Demons and restore the Beastman’s era of divine splendor!"

"Immediately summon all Dukes and Lords; we shall strike at the Abyss of Extreme Demons!"

"Father, why not directly attack Jinrui City?" The Gold Lion was somewhat taken aback.

"Attacking the Sacred Empire now, the Snowy Region would find itself in dire straits. Although both empires suffered losses in the battle against the sea clans, their top forces remain intact. Once war begins, we will face enemies on two fronts, not a position of advantage. Hence, we should focus our forces on a strong assault of the Abyss of Extreme Demons. Once seized, and when our elite bathe in the ancient breath and achieve their breakthroughs, the Snowy Region and Sacred Empire will pale in comparison."

Tai’e spoke sense, and the Gold Lion nodded, "I shall see to it immediately!"

Konstantin was not oblivious to the Beastman Empire’s array of motions. Philosophers had already informed him of the exposure of the Abyss of Extreme Demons.

Konstantin had long been prepared for this matter.

The Snowy Region’s army also entered the Star Sea with the help of the empire, joining forces with the Human Race’s great army to encircle the Lion King Tai’e.

Tai’e, who had broken through to the Demigod realm, was like a reborn demon god. Even the combined forces of the seven Tower Masters summoning the Heavenly God could do nothing against him, leading to a stalemate between the two sides.

Even with the strong alliance between the Snowy Region and the Sacred Empire, they could only just manage to hold back the tide of the Beastman invasion. The war dragged on for three months, and they were at a stalemate.

But the situation changed when Soutu arrived with many mysterious powerhouses, breaking this balance.

As Soutu, capable of fighting several rounds against a Demigod beast, demonstrated unquestionable power, he quickly shattered the balance, and the Beastman Empire began to show signs of collapse.
