Chapter 143: Chapter 137: First Entering Mandarin Duck Flowers

"Hegar, how did you end up getting together with the bar owner?" While Hegar was describing the teleportation formation, Lu Hong couldn’t hold back.

This speed of flirting is too fast, isn’t it? He barely arrived two days ago, and he’s already picked a flower from the small town?

"It was just a case of falling in love at first sight. I must thank Master Tu for bringing me here, otherwise how could I have met the beautiful Miss Zhan Haixin?" As he spoke, a passionate sparkle appeared in Hegar’s eyes.

"Alright, I don’t know what her background is, but it seems like she has some, so be careful not to stumble," Lu Hong patted Hegar’s shoulder and took the lead into the teleportation formation that Hegar had just opened.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please." Hegar politely escorted Elder Hanke and the others through, then turned back to take a few more glances at the bar, muttering, "Snow Maiden, I think I’ve caught you." He said, revealing a cold smirk at the corner of his mouth.

Through the portal, a vast steel city descended from the sky. All the buildings here were cast from platinum, the sheer cost of which was staggering; this was definitely a top-tier fortress built specifically for war.

"Welcome everyone to the Empire’s Hub, the Unfallen Throne." Hegar walked to the front and introduced, "This is the most important fortress in the Empire’s conquest of myriad worlds. Since this place is of critical importance, there are many restrictions; please stick close to me and don’t wander off."

Passing through numerous checkpoints, Hegar led everyone to the breach point leading to the Yuanhua plane, where a garrison of nearly ten thousand soldiers was stationed.

"Pass!" The guarding soldier stepped forward to stop them, and Hegar pulled out his token to verify his identity and said, "Please open the teleportation gate leading to the Yuanhua plane, the team behind me is the squad appointed by the emperor for support to Yuanhua."

"Support to Yuanhua?" The head of the guarding soldiers smirked dismissively, "You’re timing is just perfect; the Gold Family had recently launched a surprise attack on our teleportation establishment in Yuanhua, and the teleportation gate has been shut down from the other side, temporarily disabling any transport."

"We lost?!" Hegar was stunned, knowing full well that the teleportation point was the Empire’s last line of defense; its loss essentially signaled the failure of the war.

"Not quite," the head responded, "Judging from the fluctuations when the gate was shut, it seems the other side was also in a hurry. It must have been a sudden attack meant to cut off our troop deployment to Yuanhua."

"Isn’t there any other way to get to Yuanhua?" Lu Hong stepped forward and asked, now unclear about the situation in Yuanhua and unable to rely on them to repair the gate voluntarily.

The head of the soldiers glanced at Lu Hong and said, "There is, but the destination of teleportation is highly random; it could be anywhere on the Yuanhua Continent. So, do you want to give it a try?"

"Okay," Lu Hong nodded. As long as they could enter Yuanhua, everything else could be discussed.

"Alright, I’ll arrange it right away, but let me warn you first—if you’re unlucky and teleport into the enemy’s camp, don’t blame me." Saying that, the head turned and shouted to the space mages among the soldiers, "Get up, time to work!"

As a group of space mages began chanting, the gigantic teleportation gate slowly twisted, bursting into a surge of emerald magic light.

"Quick, get in!" the head urged sternly.

Lu Hong and the others did not dare delay and hurriedly rushed through the teleportation gate, disappearing from the Unfallen Throne.

"That’s it, my task is also done," Hegar sighed with relief, but then suddenly remembered that he hadn’t gotten his money back from Lu Hong! Going to Yuanhua was a life-and-death adventure, it seemed that huge sum was out of reach now, which was rash of him.

The location where Lu Hong and his group arrived wasn’t bad; it was a dense forest with no enemy in sight.

"Where are we now?" Elder Hanke asked.

"How would I know?" Lu Hong replied irritably, "Let’s first find someone to ask."

"Agreed." Elder Hanke turned to the vigilant Thunder Warriors and said, "You wait here, I and Tu the Younger will go scout the area. If anyone approaches, kill them relentlessly!"

After giving instructions, Lu Hong and Elder Hanke randomly picked a direction and started walking.

"Hey, do you know what the Unfallen Throne we just briefly stepped into was all about?" On the way, Elder Hanke casually asked Lu Hong.

"I don’t know." Lu Hong shook his head, "It’s the first time I’ve heard of this fortress; I don’t recall seeing it on the Empire’s map before."

"You really are uneducated," Elder Hanke laughed, "Unfallen Fortress isn’t located on the Continent of God’s Grace, but is a bastion established in the void. It was once a destroyer of All Heavens and Myriads of Worlds; at the dawn of its construction, the Empire used it to drift towards other unknown planes for brutal plunder and destruction."

Thus, the Unfallen Fortress was the Empire’s war machine; on the Continent of God’s Grace, it wasn’t of much use, but each invaded plane recorded its history heavily, calling it the Doomsday Fortress, the destroyer of worlds.

"Now, it serves as a stable strategic base for the empire to deploy troops to various dimensions," Old Hank said. "If we destroy it, I guarantee that the empire will instantly lose its dominion over millions of dimensions."

Lu Hong looked at Old Hank and said, "That’s a great idea."

"Ha ha, I was just saying," Old Hank added. "This broken fortress also breached the gates of the Storm Dimension back in the day. But now I’m half an imperial myself, just kidding."

"Be careful!" Lu Hong suddenly pulled Old Hank back as a young girl was leisurely wandering nearby.

"Capture her!" Old Hank blinked and signaled Lu Hong to go ahead. Lu Hong nodded and stealthily approached, seizing the girl unaware.

"Who? Who? Who?" The girl cried out in panic, "Help——"

Before she could finish, Lu Hong covered her cherry lips.

Lu Hong threatened fiercely, "Don’t make a sound! Or I’ll kill you!"

With tears in her eyes, the girl nodded quickly, indicating that she understood.

Lu Hong let her go and asked, "What’s your name?"

"Lulu, my name is Lulu," the girl said timidly. "What do you want to do? My father is the Clan Leader of the Gold Family. I can give you whatever you want."

"Your father is the Clan Leader of the Gold Family?" Old Hank approached Lulu, his eyes going cold as he prepared to make his move. What luck, they had stumbled across a big fish right away.

"Wait a minute." Lu Hong stopped Old Hank and then asked Lulu, "Where is this?"

"This is the Gold Family’s estate," Lulu responded. "Did you guys get lost?"

"The Gold Family’s estate?" Okay, this teleportation was indeed accurate, sending them directly behind enemy lines. Were they expected to engage in guerrilla warfare?

Through pressuring Lulu, Lu Hong had a rough idea of their location. The estate they were in used to be the residence of the Gold Family but had been abandoned due to some family calamity. Located relatively far from the main battlefield and away from the core of the Gold Family’s power, it was on the fringes of the battlefield.

"We should kill her, then find a way out," Old Hank always showed no mercy toward the main bloodline of the Gold Family.

"Let it go; she’s just an innocent woman," Lu Hong suddenly felt a pang of pity. From the moment they had captured her, it was clear that Lulu, this woman named Lulu, had no real strength, merely a fragile woman.

"Kill her, or our location will be exposed!" Old Hank said sternly. "It’s wartime, don’t harbor any needless mercy!"

Lu Hong knocked Lulu out, saying, "She’s just an ordinary mortal. I’ve now knocked her out—she won’t wake up for at least a day, giving us enough time to escape."

"But, ultimately, she will still expose our presence."

"Do you think that after we leave here, no one will notice us?"

"Humph!" Old Hank grunted, displeased, but Lu Hong was right—their elite team, noticeable wherever it went, was bound to be discovered sooner or later.

"Whatever you want." Old Hank then continued exploring the area the girl had come from, and Lu Hong, having stashed her away, followed.

After scouting the surroundings clearly, Old Hank led the strike team out.

"Miss, they’ve all left," an old man in butler attire respectfully reported to Lulu, now standing in front of her. "Why did you not let me kill them directly?"

"That old man, I know him; he is the current Clan Leader of the Thunder Family," Lulu, who should have still been unconscious, strangely woke up and rubbed her neck, sore from Lu Hong’s strike. "You’re no match for him. Also, this group absolutely has a special mission. Notify Feren immediately to block these people for me—bring that man who dared to lay a hand on me to me alive!"

"As you wish!"

Unaware, Lu Hong was actually dealing with the highest commander of the entire Gold Family—it was under her command that the Gold Family could counterattack the empire and even set up an ambush to eliminate Nono. If not for Lai Li’s formidable strength, they would probably have been doomed long ago.

Unbeknownst to Lu Hong, he was now leading his men toward the nearest town Lulu had mentioned. There, an ambush prepared by the Gold Family awaited them.
