Chapter 1716: Chapter 1716: Convergence

The people from the Blood Clothes League were on the verge of tears when they heard Jin Jin’s comments. Damn it, which eye of hers saw us bullying her big brother?

Clearly, it is us who are being bullied. Up until now, we’ve lost more than half of our people, yet Prairie Fire hasn’t even lost a drop of blood.

The two dragons frenziedly massacring Skeletons aren’t even worth mentioning, as no one can withstand them.

Then comes the Magic Armor squad which they can’t defeat either. As if the Succubus Queen’s ongoing slaying of Skeletons weren’t enough, she keeps summoning Hellhounds.

In just this short amount of time, the number of Hellhounds has surpassed a thousand.

As for the Mechanical Avatar, it’s ridiculously fierce, swinging a massive Skeleton General around and smashing everything in its path. Who the hell can stop it?

If it weren’t for their sacrifice of over twenty people to use the Undead’s Hymn, they would be wiped out by now.

Who’s bullying whom, really? The Druid commander is about to cry.

He hasn’t been devoid of despair before. The team he led was also forged and tested through trials, and his command isn’t Unparalleled, but certainly among the best.

He’s experienced all sorts of scenarios, yet feeling this powerless and at a loss is a first.

He trusts his judgment. Every decision targeted Li Yao’s weak points; strategically nothing seemed amiss, yet the results are simply unbearable.

The Druid feels no resentment. When playing games, the rule is either to kill or be killed, and it’s just normal.

Especially under such harsh rules, their own formidable team was used to block other teams’ entry here.

Countless teams have been obstructed by them, with hundreds of players killed. If injustice was to be claimed, those would be worse off.

Prairie Fire wanted to pass through here, but they initially aimed to kill him, only their strength wasn’t enough, leading to their obliteration, all the way with a bloodbath.

Even when their core group ganged up, it wasn’t a match for him alone. He feels he did his best but had lesser skills, so no complaints.

Still, even if facing annihilation, he prefers the Starfire Team not to benefit from their demise.

So the Druid commander begins shouting furiously.

"Are you all just standing by your respective channels watching the drama? You know the rules here. In this place, avoiding combat won’t bring victory."

"To get out or ascend higher, we need slaughter. We’ve only hesitated due to each other’s power, not wanting someone else to profit from it."

Teams from other channels are quietly watching this side, listening to the Druid commander’s words.

"You’ve witnessed Prairie Fire’s strength firsthand. He composed a team solo and broke through our defenses. What does that indicate? That he can pierce through your defenses too. Sure, some teams are stronger, but the strength gap isn’t huge. We’re all roughly on par. He single-handedly fights our hundred-core team, and our Blood Clothes League is considered a top-tier guild."

Many players are moved, their expressions starting to be uncertain.

"Starfire was already very powerful, confronting two guild core teams before Prairie Fire arrived, and still winning. As for Prairie Fire, he could solo challenge our group and remain unharmed. If he returns to his team, it won’t be mere addition."

"Everyone’s smart. I’ll leave it at that. It’s up to you how to proceed."

The Druid commander doesn’t demand anything specific, but his intentions are clear to all.

The Starfire Core Group was already formidable, and with Prairie Fire joining, it equates to countless teams, something many can’t imagine.

At this juncture, everyone pays a price to enter this dungeon. Many teams have lost experience levels.

During this push to full level, levels and experience are invaluable.

For ordinary dungeons, they could just walk away if they couldn’t handle it, but not here, unless wiped out, they can’t exit and arguments are futile here.

Not even considering the final rewards, merely surviving requires killing others.

The Starfire Team was potent, but with Prairie Fire’s presence, they become horrifying, consistently achieving main quest first kills isn’t a joke.

Facing such a situation, even if unwilling to confront Starfire, they must, otherwise it’s either Starfire wiping them out or being defeated by Starfire pursuers.

The logic is simple. The strongest are always feared, and if an opportunity arises to eliminate the strongest, there’s no hesitation.

Moreover, Starfire’s levels are generally very high. If the Starfire Core Group is annihilated, their levels will fall behind.

For now, Starfire ignores everything else and jumps directly into the battle.

Under Li Yao’s pressure, the Blood Clothes League team was already teetering. With Starfire’s powerful entrance, the League with fewer than half its members completely collapses.

Defeat comes swiftly, with Li Yao’s stony blows causing a near wipeout, and Starfire delivers the final blow.

In less than ten minutes, the Blood Clothes League is almost entirely slaughtered, wiped out.

If any remain, they’re insignificant, unable to spark any waves.

Gathering together, Li Yao observes, indeed, the Starfire Hundred Core Team is here, though not a full hundred, showing they incurred losses, as not all who died could be revived.

"Weren’t you upgrading in the Emerald Swamp Drowsy Valley, how did you arrive here?"

Li Yao wonders, as he provided this upgrade location to the guild.

This place harbors peculiar worms with unpredictable attack modes.

Players venturing inside repeatedly perished, necessitating a special tool to mask their aura, avoiding the worms’ relentless attacks.

Moreover, occupying a prime location and splitting among several squads allows for optimal upgrade speeds.

Qin Feng Yi explains, "Sister Li was performing a professional task, the precursor to the Road of the Strong. Her mentor said an old friend was trapped and needed rescue. Completing the prior missions led to discovering this was a side task of a major world-class main quest, extremely valuable. Guided by Sister Li’s mentor, we formed the core group for this mission, but this place proved unexpectedly perilous."

Li Yao nods, acknowledging that for main quests, individuals and guilds would go all out with clues since they leave glory-filled legacies.

And main quests’ rewards are notoriously abundant, yet the Arcane Tower rules are remarkably tough, permitting no exit once entered.

"By the way, big brother, how did you end up here? Weren’t you getting equipment for the guild?" Jin Jin curiously asks Li Yao...
