Chapter 1549: Chapter 1549: Total War

The Demon Marshal was simply too domineering; with the Demon Marshal as the arrowhead, the Melt Flying Dragons as the vanguard, and the Pterosaurs as the main force, the air force was virtually unmatched.

The leader of the Night Ghosts was a strong general of the Chaos Camp’s air force, but he was too conceited, misjudging the power of the Demon Marshal and was instantaneously killed in their first clash.

And although his powerful attack did injure the Molten Flying Dragon King, the Demon Marshal’s Death Siphon instantly healed the damage and even made her stronger.

With the Demon Marshal’s continual slaughter and the frenzied dance of the touch of darkness, the combination of the Demon Marshal and the Molten Flying Dragon King was simply invincible; not to mention finding a rival, there was no one who could even withstand a single blow from her.

In such a situation, another air force leader simply did not dare to show his face; he just continued to pretend to deal with the ground Legion, certainly not foolish enough to court death.

As for the leaders of other races in the Chaos Camp, they were mostly ground races, the vast majority of which had no experience in aerial combat, and even those with experience dared not show themselves – if the professional air force was no match, much less these amateur air forces.

Now everyone was pinning their hopes on the Werewolf leader; as the person in charge of the United Army of the Chaos Camp, it was his duty to respond.

The Werewolf leader had no solutions, no one was clearer about the strength of the Demon Marshal Alice than he was.

The subtle light released from her eyes nearly cleaved him in two; now it was aerial combat, what could he do? He too was in utter despair.

The only thing he could do was increase the military merit rewards.

Under the promise of high rewards, there must be brave men; at least the Player Guild’s elite air forces were dispatched one after another in response to the Werewolf leader’s reward.

But this was essentially a stopgap rather than a cure; as long as there was no one to block the powerful Demon Marshal Alice, no amount of troops would suffice, for the Demon Marshal alone had enough killing power, let alone the formidable army that accompanied her.

The aerial battle was like a bottomless pit for the Chaos Camp; no matter how many players dispatched their air forces to the battle, it was like sending lambs to the slaughter.

Below the aerial combat, a vast number of corpses had already piled up.

"Damn it, we can’t keep sending air forces to their deaths; otherwise, we’re also in danger. To earn military merits, we can’t play like this," a guild leader of the Chaos Camp tried to stop himself from loudly venting his dissatisfaction.

"This lousy camp, just look at the United Army of the other Camps, each as stable as Mount Tai; at least the Legions close to the Camp Legion can fend for themselves. Look at us, even fighting with all our might, we can’t see any hope," another guild leader also had a gloomy expression.

The other guild leaders’ faces did not look good either; even the Earth players’ guilds, which they looked down upon, had so many hubs for other guilds to attach themselves to.

Especially towards the distant Starfire hub, their defensive line and combat strength were no less than the hubs formed by the Camp Legion of other camps, with everyone orderly defending and then collectively mobilizing Legions to counterattack Uldaman.

And on their side of the Chaos Camp? There were only one or two hubs, and they were too far away to reach, so they could only rely on the NPC Legions of the camp. Yet, frustratingly enough, the NPC United Army not only utterly lacked coordination, they did not receive protection but instead became cannon fodder and sacrificial lambs.

"Looks like we have to resort to some drastic measures, and bring out our trump card; our guild’s elite troops are too few to withstand such attrition," finally, a guild leader made a decision, knowing that if things continued this way, they would all be finished.

"Not good, the air force has collapsed again, and they’re coming down this time. Everyone, take care!"

In the sky, the Demon Marshal once again showcased her divine might, the Death Siphon broke through the defensive line of this wave of players’ dispatched air forces, leading to another collapse of the air force.

Countless corpses fell, their desiccated bodies turning into dust clouds before even reaching the ground.

Hu...

The sky seemed to rain down Flaming Meteors, as each Melt Flying Dragon rolled into a ball, engulfed in a large amount of magma, falling like meteors.

Like giant meteors chasing after the dragon, and the Molten Flying Dragon King formed the largest of them all, pressing down like a massive volcano.

"If you’re still thinking about holding back, then just wait for the United Army to collapse."

The Werewolf leader let out a crazed howl, then quickly commanded: "All Werewolves, heed my order, fire a barrage of Arrows!"

Ha!

All the Werewolves drew their great bows, and arrows shot into the sky en masse. These rising arrows shattered into countless fragments, surging into the heavens like a canopy.

Bang bang bang bang...

Many of the Melt Flying Dragons’ magma meteors exploded, flinging magma in all directions, causing severe burns to numerous Werewolves.

Despite this, it was still much better compared to other places.

Other tribes organized counterattacks too, but none were as formidable as the Werewolves.

Especially on the Demon Marshal’s side, the enormous Molten Flying Dragon King fell, crushing many soldiers from the Chaos Camp, followed by powerful shockwaves that blew countless soldiers away.

Then just like a real volcanic eruption, it wasn’t just one, but many erupting like volcanoes, truly a breathtaking spectacle.

Races from the Chaos Camp could no longer restrain themselves from using their ultimate moves. Each Race had its own heritage, but the cost of such moves was so great that they would not be lightly used unless it was a matter of life and death.

For example, the Werewolf Legion, they consumed a one-time magic item that was incredibly precious, giving all Werewolves a temporary boost of Advanced Fire Resistance. Only with this were they able to temporarily stabilize the front line. Such Legion-wide one-time buffs are overly precious, one less every time it’s used, and the Werewolf leader would never have used it if it wasn’t for this moment.

"What Chaos Camp, what a self-flattering title, trying to copy the three major Camps, it’s nothing but a laughingstock. Such unsuitable forces simply do not qualify to be my opponents," sneered the Demon Marshal atop the Molten Flying Dragon King, looking down at the Camp Legion below, which had just used various ultimate moves: "A grand United Army, without a single warrior daring to face me in battle, is truly worthless. I have no interest in playing with trash any longer."

Powerhouses from the three major Camps were watching as if it were a joke, but their expressions changed when they heard the Demon Marshal’s words; it seemed the Demon Marshal was preparing to attack them next.

From the moment the Demon Marshal launched the counterattack until now, four to five hours had passed. In that short span, both sides suffered horrific casualties—a terrifying number.

The battle was extremely fierce, particularly for the Chaos Camp. The Chaos Camp’s Air Force was practically decimated.

With land and air strikes from two fronts, each Race suffered heavy casualties, only stabilizing temporarily with the use of their final trump cards. It is fair to say that the NPC legions of the Chaos Camp were seriously wounded.

The Demon Marshal’s last stand could be said to have had a very good start, and what comes next would depend on the performance of the remaining three Camps...
