Chapter 266: Chapter 266 Darkness Double Absolute (2)_1

"My lord, are we not dealing with those people anymore? My Giant Array is still very formidable," Chi said reluctantly.

"Your tactics might be suitable for dealing with foreign tribes, but even if they came in double the number, they would not be enough for her to practice with," Sha said, then turned into a wisp of black smoke and disappeared.

Seeing that Sha had left, Chi could only summon back all the giants, then glared at them hatefully before vanishing into thin air.

"They’re just leaving like that?" Qie Yue said, stunned as she watched the giants shrink back into the ground one by one and the shadows disappear into the air.

"What, you’re not willing to let them go?" Hei Zi said as he slapped Qie Yue on the head.

After all the monsters had vanished, Baili Ruyan turned around and looked at Dugu Qianye, extending his right hand with his palm facing Dugu Qianye. Dugu Qianye smiled, reached out his right hand and slapped it, palms touching. Then they twirled their hands in an elegant gesture and gripped each other tightly.

"It’s really good," Dugu Qianye said.

You’re still alive, that’s really good!

"It is very good!" Baili Ruyan said.

Being able to find each other again, truly very good!

"Hehe." The two of them laughed, then hugged each other tightly. They separated after two minutes.

"I mean, you guys are reminiscing, shouldn’t you find a better environment for that?" Zi Xiao’s voice came from behind Dugu Qianye.

"Cough cough, let me introduce you, this is my dear companion Baili Ruyan, and these are Zi Xiao, Hei Zi, and Qie Yue. Ruyan, let’s leave this place," Dugu Qianye said.

Baili Ruyan nodded and left with Dugu Qianye on Xiaohuo. Zi Xiao, Qie Yue, and Hei Zi left on Hei Zi’s Contract Beast.

The group arrived at a lakeside not far from that mountain and then set up camp to rest. Because of the great battle, everyone was in disarray and went to clean up before reemerging.

Dugu Qianye and Baili Ruyan used a tent together. When they used to go on missions together, they slept in the same tent, and now they could relive the experience, finding it particularly sweet.

After freshening up, Dugu Qianye and Baili Ruyan lay on the bed that Dugu Qianye had brought out, chatting about old times, with laughter occasionally breaking through.

"How did you come to this world?" Dugu Qianye asked.

"My brother said that I was originally from this world, but my soul was unstable at birth. To let me live, my mother took out half of my soul and sent it to another world. After I died there, my brother used secret methods to summon me back. What about you, how did you come here?" After talking about her own situation, Baili Ruyan asked.

"My soul encountered Dandan in the Endless Void, and it brought me here," Dugu Qianye said.

"Dandan?"

"Yes. Dandan is an ancient Chaos Heavenly Bead that looks like an egg, so I call it Dandan. It spent hundreds of millions of years in the Endless Void and took me as its master to get out. It exhausted all its energy to bring me to the Dugu Qianye of the Xuanyue Continent. The original body here didn’t have a Phantom Power Source and couldn’t cultivate—it was because of Dandan that I was able to cultivate."

Listening to Dugu Qianye share his experience, when it came to Dandan, Baili Ruyan asked, "The Dandan you mentioned, is it a Divine Stone that looks like a chicken egg?"

Dugu Qianye nodded and said, "Dandan said that its other half is still sealing the five ancient Divine Artifacts, and it also wants to find its other half. I’m not sure if the other half has been released yet."

Baili Ruyan took out an egg—well, a stone that looked like a chicken egg.

"Is this the other half of the Divine Stone you mentioned?" Baili Ruyan asked.

Seeing the stone in Baili Ruyan’s hand, Dugu Qianye got excited and said, "It’s the one! She looks exactly like Dandan."

After speaking, she even woke up the sleeping Dandan.

"Why did you wake me up?" Dandan asked.

"Come out, I have something to show you," Dugu Qianye said.

Dandan emerged from Dugu Qianye’s lower abdomen, rubbing his big eyes with his little hands and asked, "Why did you call me out?"

"Do you see the thing in Ruyan’s hand? Is that your other half?" Dugu Qianye said.

Dandan’s movements suddenly froze there, and for a moment, he didn’t catch on to Dugu Qianye’s meaning. A few seconds later, he turned to look at the egg in Baili Ruyan’s hand.

Seeing Dandan silent, Dugu Qianye asked, "Is that your other half?"

Dugu Qianye’s words snapped Dandan back to reality. He extended his short arms and carefully reached for the egg in Baili Ruyan’s hand.

"This, how did it end up in your hands?" Dandan asked excitedly.

This was also what Dugu Qianye wanted to know.

"I don’t know, I had it in my hand when I woke up. My brother said that I might have grabbed it while passing through the Endless Void," Baili Ruyan answered, then thought for a moment and added, "When I woke up, it seemed to have recognized me as its master. Can you still merge with it then?"

Dandan held the Heavenly Bead, which was a size smaller than his original form, with a jade-green surface, making it appear even more petite and adorable. Dandan felt the familiar scent between them; this was a part of himself, his other half that had been separated for hundreds of millions of years!

After a while, Dandan placed the Heavenly Bead back into Baili Ruyan’s hand and said, "The Divine Artifact inside is not yet fully unsealed. When you have assimilated all the other Divine Artifacts into your body, I can merge with it."

Baili Ruyan put the Heavenly Bead away and said, "Then I’ll keep it safe for you for a while until I have assimilated all the Divine Artifacts inside, and then I’ll give it back to you."

After saying this, Ruyan picked up Dandan, planted a firm kiss on him, and burst into hearty laughter upon seeing his face turn red with embarrassment.

If Mang Qianjun saw her like this now, he would definitely be seething with jealousy. Why was there such a big difference between her now and the her at home? She hardly ever laughed, rarely even letting go of her stern expression! Why this disparate treatment?

Dandan wriggled free from Baili Ruyan’s hands, huffed twice, and went back inside Dugu Qianye’s body.

Dugu Qianye looked at Dandan’s awkward manner and knew that he was actually very happy; he was just not used to such warmth from others after being alone for so long.

Latter, they talked about some other things. Dugu Qianye spoke about some of her experiences since coming here, and Baili Ruyan shared some things that she could disclose.

"I can only stay for a few days this time, but now I won’t lose you again. When I have time, I’ll come and find you," Baili Ruyan said.

"I heard that person call you Princess. Which place’s princess are you?" Dugu Qianye asked.

"Qianye, I’m sorry. Our realm’s rules forbid us from talking about it to outsiders. So, I can’t tell you," Baili Ruyan said apologetically.

"It doesn’t matter," Dugu Qianye patted Baili Ruyan’s hand and said, "Then what are you here to do?"
